Still not exactly sure what you are asking me to decide. It sounds like now you want me to pick from NPCs and Cleo who will join the new PCs. It looks like Jorne, Cleo and Quince.

Sorry I feel kinda lost which might be why I am talking through as much as I am. It feels like Quince is supposed to know things that I have no idea of what he would know. I don't know why we sent the new folks to another room. I suppose we could bring up something secret but didn't. For purely meta reasons it seems most viable to have as few join us from the NPCs as possible for the PCs to shine. That said Layla has already made eyes at Selena so I don't know if you want to include Selena. I know Selena has been protective of Quince. She might insist that 3 of us would out numbered by the new comers.

So now that we have Kingdom people picked we can re-join the others?

When it comes down to it you can pick who goes, you are the Lord Commander. And we should continue to use that title forward. AMAP. Selena would willingly go, you just state it.

I am sure the PCs don't want to stay at the camp and Jorne and Selena can take turns staying behind.

Looking at where we are starting here. Quince wants to make it clear that Greenwatch supports this endeavor to those who are going to go on the expedition. I had a few ideas for this.

1- Beyond the council members many of the guards, reves and soldiers are all "wardens" simply of lower rank. As such Quince was going to offer commissions into the wardens for those who are willing to go on the expedition. We have never had to speak about the minutia of what the average folk who work for the kingdom make but this would be that plus some gold to account for their skill set, reputation and hazard pay. Looking at the list of goods and services "footmen" start at 5sp/day layers can be as much as 10gp a day. Given our resources it would make sense that could do something. 50gp a week is really rich compared to the average person though not to an adventurer LOL.

2- Given that we are doing a bit of a time jump between campaigns. Awhile ago we had an in character discussion about Katrina's Elk mount and the local stock of elk in the region that some folk use as mounts. Given that in the past our characters were provided horses with the fast travel ability like Stalker's horse. It thought it would be cool if the new travelers were given some of the first trained riding elk that we were considering raising. That might be resource heavy but Quince has an unused Wish I think if necessary. Perhaps more if its been a year. But a group of the riding elk with the fast travel ability would be cool and kinda thematic.

3- I don't want to abuse Sulvanii's power and treasure in a game breaking way but I would imagine that we could offer them some upgrade of gear masterwork options and so on. Or whatever Sulvanii thought would be helpful.

Looking at my last post in game play I realized I used language that was common in our previous time in Kingmaker. But hasn't come up in a long time.

Just to be clear beyond what Quince is saying In Character. The process of Kingmaker involves exploration of areas. Quince is proposing that we explore as we make our way to Varnhold. This is slower than travel in a straight shot. Much of the region we are traversing is hills. Traveling through a hill hexes can be about 2 hexes a day. Exploring would reduce that time to about a hex per day.

Planes/Local DC 10 She is not a normal Human, her differing looks identify her as touched by the blood of another race.

Geography DC 10 Her voice has an exotic, musical lean, common among some fey in these areas.

Nature DC 12 Her abnormal features (for a human) seem more fey-like than anything else. She is Fey-touched rather than Celestial-touched.

Nature DC 15 Delilah is almost never alone. She is accompanied by a tiger. Apart from that she has interacted with civilization rarely and is at home in the wilds, among the animals and also the fey.

Local DC 15 Delilah has had dealings with bandits before, sometimes fighting them, sometimes even helping them if they didn't try to harm her or the animals. Whatever she had to do to survive in sometimes lawless lands.

Local DC 20 Rumours have spread from those who say they have had an encounters with a 'beautiful fey goddess' who sometimes grants a kiss to those who are weary, restoring their energy. Many think these rumours are just fanciful visions. Invigorating Kiss alternate racial

The question becomes, then, is exploration more important than the vanished people? Is mapping the land more important than finding out what happened and preventing recurrence in Elkheart?

That might be a great thing to bring up in character.

Quince has suggested that knowledge gained might be critical to finding them. The difference in travel would be very different. Traditional travel on horse would run a week. Exploring would be 2 weeks.

We also have means to make it much faster I believe. Which I can't believe I forgot to lead the discussion with. I totally had a brain fart.

No worries Quince! Yes there would be some developments Quince the character would know that the player doesn't. As we have not done the 12 months of catchup yet.

Yes there is a fast travel system. At least two. The stags are a costly investment that the Wardens would be willing to loan. Though Bearik has finished his portal stone system too!

I searched for the full body shot version of your profile pick. I had little luck I found the Pathfinder Pawn version of it but it is a photo of the pawn. I can't find the actual art.

So I tried some googling.

The profile pic you used St. John is from Skull and Shackles. The art is a close up portrait.

The same character was made into a Pawn. I could not find a decent picture of the pawn. I was able to find a PDF of the pawns from that set. Its a little Blurry.

Blurry Pawn

The pawn has a Great Sword and your a Rondelero Duelist so that was wrong. I attempted some Gimp work. Sadly still blurry.

While searching for Rondelero Duelits I came accross a couple options that were close to the profile picture.

No problem I have been having fun learning Gimp and such.

That was my favorite too. Lots of flavor to the picture. Had the right touch of flare and pomp that St. John seems to give off.

I can't wait till we have a Aldori Swordlord vs Rondelero Duelist showdown. Not proposing PVP but a friendly rivalry or an exhibition fight at a future kingdom celebration would be AWESOME!

Okay this was a fun picture to make.

I made one of these for my table top D&D group. They loved it. I use it as my Zoom background when we play. Its part of the reason I wanted to find full pictures of your characters.

Ike if you don't like the Oozemorph picture I found for you we can swap something you like better in place. But I loved the idea of us all walking down the street and Ike falls behind in part because he can't keep himself together.

Not sure which I find funnier. Ike in the background or Lykan sitting in the tree.

So far we have made a quick trip via the enchanted Elk. On that trip we had a rest stop. Some folks labeled it a "break." So a lot of the small talk in the last few days happened there. After we finished the trip we arrived just out side the town of Varnhold.

We saw a wild board eating some pigs. Possible free bacon.

Also a wisp of smoke. Delilah turned into a hawk and is scouting the city a bit from above.

Basically we just made it from Elkheart to Varnhold in the center of the Nomen Heights in a days ride and have barely started investigating.
