Gonna give Fei a bit more time to react to being vomited upon. Maybe he's into that.

Female Elf Gestalt Sorcerer (Starsoul) 16/Oracle (Heavens) 16

While Fei and Ace's healing abilities knit together Tyrrin's body, she likely got a non-negligible dose of radiation from her unprotected space flight, and being ground zero to the explosion.

Consciousness floods back to Tyrrin and she ungracefully curls into Fei and coughs, vomiting on the nanosuit. Her long raven hair is tangled and soiled. She looks around blearily and panicked: "Wha?"

"On the other hand, it would save me time if you could go to the Student Council office and check if they have anything they need me to do. I ought to look in on Ginni and see if there is any progress."

While Tyrrin thanks him, she makes no motion towards the pastries with Thel in the room. However when he leaves and returns later to collect the tea service, he will find the pastries conspicuously gone, and no sign of Ghalen having visited.

Tyrrin flips easily into Elven, having lost none of her accent or diction in the months since she's used it. "Just tea please. Thank you Thel."

Despite her response, if Thel has been observant he will note that she could probably use to eat a little more than she has been this past week.

Tyrrin had a busy week.

Between trying to watch over Illithia, teaching Professor Reading's classes, Ghalen's attentions, following numerous dead-end leads, following actual leads into Kuros and the Firebird camp, and trying to find out all she could about Ehos' attacker/seducer. All this along with the herculean task of having to actually talk to Keme at times has made the week extremely long and tiresome.

Even now, after class has been dismissed for the day, she can be found grading quizzes in her classroom.

I just want to make sure that we have a solid plan so that there's no chance of this monster getting away this time. We'll only have this one chance to set a trap for him."

Tyrrin introduced herself in returning when introductions are exchanged but otherwise remains a distinct observer in the conversation, with the exception of a very pointed look at Keme. A look which is very easy to read: We should talk.

Female Elf Gestalt Sorcerer (Starsoul) 16/Oracle (Heavens) 16

Keme walks in on Tyrrin and Ace discussing the possibility of the presence of vampires in the school. She looks at Keme with a non-plussed expression, her eyes straying to the inked halfling who had entered with him before returning to the Kitsune. She doesn't say anything yet, allowing Ace to direct the conversation.

As Jai leaves to follow the raven, Ace gently grabs her arm.

"Hang on a sec. I knew there was something else I wanted to tell you girls. I performed a divination about our assassin, and this is the reply I got from my god"

** spoiler omitted **

Tyrrin absently bids farewell as Jaiye makes her exit, continuing her pacing and considering at length the divination.

After a few minutes of silence, Tyrrin glances up at Ace. "Hidden in plain sight I suspect means that they're brazen enough that we should never glance twice at them. As for the part about opaqueness... I suspect traditional methods of divination failed, thus they must be protected through some magic. That covers quite a few people unfortunately."

Tyrrin taps her lips with a finger, having stopped still from pacing. "I agree with Jaiye that colour of life flowing almost certainly means blood. Again though, there are plenty of people with red eyes at the school, setting aside that some species do not have red blood, so that should help us narrow down the list as well. Hm."

Tyrrin's eyes suddenly light up, a clear epiphany sketched across her face. "What about a vampire? Is there evidence of vampiric feeding on the victims? It would fit everything. Targeting young women, powers that affect the mind, difficult to track by scent. Many vampires even have red eyes." She grins at Ace. "We should find out if there are known vampires here."

Female Elf Gestalt Sorcerer (Starsoul) 16/Oracle (Heavens) 16

Tyrrin nods along as Ace goes through the list, with a slight frown at the thought that, a few months ago, she might've pinned the brutal attack on the gentle giants of Zren and Rikken merely because of their species. "Don't forget faculty as well." she noted distractedly as the bird tried to get Jaiye's attention.

"I doubt this will help, but it won't hurt either." Tyrrin says as she casts a spell on Jaiye.

It's Comprehend Languages, which of course only works if it's an actual language. Tyrrin doesn't have the spell to speak with animals.

"Alright Ace, I think we should break for now. Lunch is getting on and our brains need food to focus properly. We won't help anyone by starving. But we should start going through the list and seeing who we know has an alibi."

Tyrrin frowns at that and turns to face Ace. Unfortunately she missed the eyes flashing red as she was facing another way, but she studies him intently.

Tyrrin slows to a stop in her pacing and frowns. "Did you say that Vai went crazy? Mild-mannered, shy, Vai Sunwake? That seems... unlikely. I assume some sort of enchantment magic was in play?"

Maybe you can have an easier time getting access to the lists of students in Ginni's classes"

"Yes, I should be able to get those records. In theory." Tyrrin says, still pacing, her voice distracted. "Faculty should go on the list as well. Miss Jones and whomever else are her professors."

"His name is Dom. Though who knows how much longer they'll be involved. The Speaker won't like that one bit." Tyrrin shakes her head slightly. "Sorry, tangent."

Tyrrin blinks and then tilts her head slightly to the side. "You said the first attack occurred shortly after the attack on the school, while the wards were still out of commission, yes? Who was Ginni with at that time?"

"So the question is did they know it before they attacked her or after? It makes a difference to how close the killer was able to get to her before the attack. Was it someone she knew? Or was it just someone she ran into while she was alone who found out that they'd picked their victim badly this time? Answering that question could really change the course of your investigation."
"Its OK, Jai, you're secret of being smarter than you pretend to be is safe with me." Ace says, continuing to grin. "Alright, that makes sense, any ideas how to figure that out?"
"Well, no. Honestly, I have no idea how to figure it out. Maybe go with one assumption and investigate that way and if that doesn't work try the other assumption?"

"I think it's easier to assume that this wasn't at random and go from there. If we assume it's somebody that Ginni knew, that narrows down the list significantly. If it was at random, there's no many leads with that assumption anyway."

"So, let's make a list of everyone who we know for sure Ginni is acquainted with at the school. Ace, you know her best." Tyrrin says, grabbing a pen and paper from a nearby desk and placing it in front of Ace, and sitting herself across from him.

I'm just gonna assume Ace shares the circumstances of Zilla's death too, since I can get this meaty post out.

Tyrrin continues her relentless pacing, frowning deeply. She snaps up just in time to see Ace send off a message to Michael. "I'm not sure telling them that the murderer is still active and on the loose will do any good for Kitty." she says distractedly, but then shakes her head and returns to her pacing.

Tyrrin's Muttering (Both Ace and Jaiye can hear just fine):
"Alright, Kitty was the first victim... and our murderer toyed with her memories. Same thing with Zilla. Either they enjoy it... or they were anticipating that we would raise them. But why insert Michael and Hew at all? Surely it would be easier just to expunge the memory if they were just looking to cover their tracks. But to Ginni, they went way overboard. It's an anomaly. Ginni doesn't fit with the other two. Why? Even resurrection magic couldn't restore her all the way. They were trying to... remove..."

Tyrrin stops suddenly and looks up at Ace, her voice calm and perfectly convinced. "Ginni was a threat." the confidence in her voice wavers slightly. "A threat... or maybe a challenge. Ginni is a skilled enchantress. One of Miss Jones' best students, if I'm not mistaken."

"Okay, tracking is out then. As annoying as Mister Tokala can be, I don't doubt either his ability or yours in that regard." Tyrrin carries on thoughtfully, standing up and pacing in the room's open space.

Tyrrin seems to be muttering to herself as she paces. "Attacked Kitty and Ginni [...] both tieflings [...] are the types of wounds relevant?" she stops and glances at Ace. "If we can't catch this murderer from the physical clues alone, what else do we have? At very least, we know that they seem to be exclusively targeting young female tieflings. That should tell us something."

Ace scoops up Squeaky, and follows the girls into his room, shutting the door behind him. As he's got a single, Ace's room is rather large, with a decent open area he's set aside for his morning workout. His bed is nice and big, and definitely comfy looking. There's also several chairs which he offers to Ty and Jai.

He jumps right in, not wanting to waste time. "Kitty was brutally murdered, along with all her animals, save my lil guy here, who hid behind some bags of food. She's been since brought back to life. For awhile, I was a suspect, but no longer. Just a little while ago, Ginni was also murdered, and while she too has come back to life, her mind is a shattered, fractured mess. Our last conversation was actually a stupid argument cuz I picked a fight with David, trying to blow off some steam. She walked off, and then wound up dead." He finally lets the truth of the situation hit him, and starts to cry "Its all my fault, we always have breakfast together, I should have been there to protect her!"

Tyrrin reeled for a moment, thankful that Ace had offered a seat before dumping this load of information on her.

"Ms. Tanaka... and Ginni?" Tyrrin repeated, giving herself time to process what Ace had said. The cold fury she had felt last night when they had captured the assassin bubbled back up again, and her eyes flashed dangerously.

Jaiye can practically smell the anger bleeding off Tyrrin, though none of it reaches any part of her face except her eyes. Her posture is rigid though.

"Ace." Tyrrin replies with a sharp, steely tone in her voice, trying to snap her friend out of his self-pity. "This was not your fault, unless it was your hand that dealt the blow. You will stop assigning blame to yourself right now." her tone brooks no argument. "Assuming you always have to be there to protect or save Ginni is demeaning to her own ability. There's no guarantee your presence would have made a difference other than adding to the body count."

After a moment, her tone and expression soften slightly, but Jaiye can still easily tell that Tyrrin is very upset. "Now, what did the healers say about Ginni? Can they heal her mind?"

Let me know if that link works, k?

Tyrrin, on the other hand, seems distinctly uncomfortable with the over-enthuastic puppy. Clearly she wasn't used to pets, and takes a reflexive step back. Of course, a puppy is not so easily denied, sniffing and investigating the new visitors.

Tyrrin tries her best to set aside her discomfort, though she doesn't quite stoop to pet the exctiable creature, looking to Ace instead. Her voice is a little strained when she speaks. "What's the matter, Ace?"

"Sounds like whatever Ace wants your help with isn't a very pleasant story either."

Fair enough, heh.

"I understand, Jaiye. We'll make some time to talk about it tonight, alright? I promise." she replies as they descend the tower back downstairs. Tyrrin lets out a puff of air, her breathing a little heavy. She just walked UP that tower.

Tyrrin's hand brushes the wall as they exit out into the school proper, conjuring the arrows to go to Ace. "Well, he said it involves murder, which could either means he's over dramatizing or it is indeed very serious."

"And yes, I guess it is ambition. I had to do a lot of soul searching over the past couple of days. And I realized that I was telling myself a lot of lies about how I wasn't worth anything because of what happened to me after I was exiled. I don't think that kind of pain ever really goes away, but it's time for me to stop looking for someone to follow and actually do something about the problems that are putting too many lycan kids in the same kind of situations I was in. There has to be more to life than random violence."

Tyrrin takes Jaiye's hand and stands quickly up to her feet. She takes a moment to straighten her clothes with a quick tug.

"You're going to have to tell me what happened after you were exiled when we have time. I..." Tyrrin trails off, and glances out the window with a troubled look on her face. She shakes her head slightly as if clearing away bad thoughts. "Let's go."

She steps quickly, apparently eager to get there (or to leave behind whatever she was thinking about).

Tyrrin is unable to supress a slight grin before she goes straight-faced and deadpans: "Men: can't live with them, can't shoot them." which is followed by a theatrical sigh.

"Alright," she begins, frowning slightly. "Obviously the weekend was cursed, so perhaps we can try to move on. I might smack Ehos anyway, just for good measure."

Even after Jaiye drew back, Tyrrin hasn't really moved away. It's a bit odd, since she's usually somewhat touch-shy. "First thing's first then: your old pack leader wants you back. I did get a tiny bit of revenge I have to admit since I had a makeout session with Ana. It's not anything romantic really, she just wanted to learn how to kiss. But it seems to bother Ehos that he wasn't there to watch. Anyhow...problem two is that the succubus is still on the loose, that she still has some kind of connection to and possibly control over him, and she claims to be pregnant with his child. Yes, your mother knows, no, that was not a fun conversation. Also, he and I had a long talk about a lot of things, stuff I haven't even told you and I need to. Stuff about my past. We were both being more than a little bit too starry-eyed, like love was somehow going to magically solve all of our problems, and that's not how life works. I...I think we ended up starting over on a better footing, even if it is with more baggage than before. Complication number...you know, I lost track of the numbers. Other big complication happened the next morning...

Tyrrin listens intently, waiting all the way through Jaiye's explanation. She's clearly growing more agitated but she holds off until Jaiye's completely done.

Once Jaiye is done, Tyrrin moves next to her and give her a hug.

It's a little awkward because Tyrrin's not used to showing affection outwardly, but she's obviously trying.

"I see..." Tyrrin replies thoughtfully, looking Ori over carefully as if her physique might provide some clue to the puzzle. "An elementary school student, is it? And this... Spirit World. It sounds like a subplane, similar to the Shadow Plane or the Ethereal Plane. I wonder if a similar spell to Ethereal Jaunt could be researched to access such a place. Interesting."

"If this being is indeed a Kami... it is likely the destruction of it's Ward which has angered it. Do you have any idea what that might entail?" Tyrrin asked academically, again looking at Ori as if she were a problem to be solved and not a person truly.

"Well, he's quieter right now. We're tied together, so when I'm happy he's less likely to rampage. But...there's still a lot to work on. He's literally trapped inside a cage in the spirit world and I don't know how to fix that. There was someone who was going to help me with that, but he's been busy. And...well, he's just a little kid. And the issues that have me...err...us...well, they're not little kid type of issues. So I'm not entirely sure how to solve the problem long term exactly. All I know at this point is that the bond can't actually be broken, so we're going to have to figure out some way to work together on things that don't involve flattening buildings."

"Perhaps we then know whom to thank for his current... satiation." Tyrrin replied, and while her tone was still fairly dry, she wasn't trying to hide the smirk on her face, and another not-subtle glance at Salis. Clearly she thinks she's quite hilarious.

After a moment she becomes more serious, her acedemic side demanding the reins for a while. The smirk fades away. "So, I'm not quite sure what this 'Spirit World' is... some Plane or Demiplane? Does this mean that our hypothesis regarding it being a kami was correct?"

"Not entirely, no," she agreed with a smile, taking Salis's hand. "But he has classes to teach himself and I have to spend whole hours left to my own devices," she added with fake drama, then laughed.

"Feel free to give me those papers, and other than first period I'm probably good to go back to work...I just have to get official approval first. I'll talk to the Headmaster about it today and hopefully by tomorrow at the latest I'll be back on the job," she said optimistically.

"Have you make significant progress with your... ahem... passenger?" Tyrrin asks, curious. She knew that she had left that to the side momentarily, but it had been a very busy week.

"I could still give you assignments to grade, if you'd like. Would save me some time." Tyrrin replied, her amused smirk not yet fading, and there's the barest glance at Salis. "I see that you're not wholly without diversion, though." Tyrrin adds with a knowing look in her eyes.

Ori jumped up, opening the door quickly. She had clearly done something to her usually loose robes designed to hide every inch of skin possible. She had cut them and belted them so that they had instead become a figure flattering dress. Except that all the cut ends were ragged. She was a wizard not a seamstress.

"Good morning."

Tyrrin is forced to hide a smirk as the good Professor opens the door, noting both Salis' presence and the new stylings of Professor Reading's robes, not immediately sure which one of the Professor's rooms she had come to.

The smirk does creep a little onto her face, but it's not mocking, but she's a little amused, that's pretty obvious. "Good morning, Professors. How are you feeling today, Professor Reading?"

Hand shake completed, Maya seems to smile in consideration of something or another after Tyrrin speaks.

"Well, the specifics aren't completely ironed out, just yet. Ms. Denulia. Though, most likely the category of Illusion weaving will fall into my portfolio, so to speak, along with what else. Perhaps I could speak to someone about substituting your Basic Arcana, so's to free you to return to your studies. We certainly would not want you to lose out on the opportunity to properly finish up your eduction."

Smiling again, she pulls out the datapad, glancing at it, the screen flashes some illumination in her features, though not visible as to what, then Maya smiles further, looking back towards Tyrrin, with datapad against her chest once more.

"I thank you for your time, just meeting and greeting,...

Tyrrin waves a hand dismissively at the notion of hurrying along her return to classes. "Honestly, teaching is a new experience for me, and I think valuable in it's own right as well."

"Glad to make your acquaintance Professor, I hope to see you around the school." she continues politely, before moving on, continuing in the direction the arrows were guiding her, towards Professor Reading.

Re: Tyrrin's accent.

I've been assuming Tolkien elvish in most of my elven characters, and a great deal of the phonology of the language is derived from Welsh and Finnish. I'll leave it up to Maya if she can place those.

She's doesn't sound like a Welsh countrymen, but her Common is definitely accented, as it's not her native tongue.

Maya smiles again, her eyes flicker to the pointy ends of Tyrrin's ears, then back to her features in a proper social act of looking directly at the person speaking with.

"Professor Maya Rhys, recently arrived. I merely wished to compliment you on your lovely hair styling. Is that something you accomplished on your own, or is there a hair dresser in the school?"

Maya seems casual, mostly, having that slight English aristocrat accent.

"I hope you don't mind-- I only meant to bid you hello and the question on hair dresser. If I am interrupting you on your course, by all means, don't let me. I'm certain we may meet again. The school cannot possibl-- well, hopefully, I should say, not be that big."

She stands there with arms crossed in front of her, datapad held against chest, smiling faintly.

"Pleasure to meet you, Professor Rhys." Tyrrin replies primly to the introduction, offering a handshake, as she knew was the human custom. Her Common speech has a slight accent to it, but it would be difficult to place. The almost lilting quality of the Gaelic tongues is present. "Tyrrin Denulia, Student Council President." she has quite good manners, all things considered, though perhaps a bit brusque. It is still early in the morning though, maybe she hasn't had her coffee yet.

"Erm... my hair? It's really nothing more than a quick twist and a pin to hold it in place. Functional, really." she replies, slightly uncomfortable with a subject as unfamiliar to her as hairstyling and fashion.

"I'm not in a terrible rush, but perhaps you can tell what you will be teaching, Professor? I am substituting for the Basic Arcana teacher at the moment, but once she's feeling ready to teach again, I will be once again attending classes."

At that there's a momentary glance at the datapad held by Maya, but just a casual, cursory glance, nothing terribly curious about it. The datapads were becoming fairly ubiquitous at the school, after all.

Humming a ditty while walking along, on route to Vare's location, Maya smiles as Tyrrin comes walking along. In fact, she smiles a bit more brightly, and waves a greeting.

"Good morning, student. How are you this fine day?" Her expression appears to be one of bemusement mixed in with happiness.

Maya is dressed in a lovely skirt, frilly blouse of sort, nothing sexualized about her choice, and has her hair up in a dual French Bun, on both sides. All in all, it looks quite school teacher, but the adorable Hello Kitty hairpins, in pink, merely throw some of that off.

She does, however, have some datapad in her hand, which she presses against her chest and folds arms over as part of the greeting to Tyrrin.

Tyrrin's expression is thoughtful at the greeting, of which she returns the wave only half-heartedly, merely raising a hand as if to acknowledge it. Her tone is business-like, as is her demeanor in general. "Good morning. Are you a guest here at Avalon, or a new arrival? I don't believe we've met."

Meanwhile, Tyrrin herself is dressed mostly in prim, professional looking black clothing. She might've passed for a teacher herself, but something about her face says 'teenager'. Her pointed ears are quite plain due to her hair being pulled back into a practical bun. She's not wearing any jewelry.

Tyrrin departs from Ghalen's room, having dressed and said her goodbyes. Her hand trails along the wall as she walks, conjuring forth the arrows to guide her to Professor Reading.

Her black (extremely deep blue?) hair was given a short brushing before it was put up, and so is decently presentable. She looks just a little tired, but not overly so. Maybe still fighting the morning drowses.

"That shall have to tide me over until then." *GRIN*

Sorry I missed this! I could've sworn I replied to this already

Tyrrin lingers a long moment, content with breakfast and the kiss. A warmth had started to spread from her chest, driving away the chills in her soul from the horrors of the previous day. "And me as well. I should get going though. If you would thank 'Thel for breakfast from me?" she asks as she rises from the bed, dressing herself.

I dunno what happened to Achilles, but if that player is still planning on playing him, he'd mention running into him as well. If not, then no point in it.

"Well then, at least that was settled." Tyrrin finishes a small piece of cheese and takes up a few of the pins she had left on the nightstand the previous night, and pulls her hair up into a practical bun at the base of her neck. A style imitated from Miss Jones, no doubt.

"I also need to work on repairing my telescope. There was apparently an EM blast during the attack on Saturday, and it's damaged some of the subsystems." At this point, Tyrrin's mostly speaking aloud, enumerating things she had to get done during the day. She might be just using Ghalen as a sounding board, or she might be looking for feedback. Difficult to tell.

"That having been said, I am not certain 'Thel will accompany us back to your homeland. He seems hesitant to commit to such. I will not press him on it, for now, though. He is good council and great teacher of Elven ways."

Ghalen notices the future tense of "we" and the assumption that he will return to her homeland with her. It makes him super happy to hear, but he will not tease her about it, afraid the dream may vanish if mentioned aloud...

Hehe. Must not jinx it... ;P

She returns the kiss, but says nothing more on the matter, deciding it wasn't a coversation for the breakfast 'table'.

"Did he advise you on the decor the other evening, I wonder? Is he native to Laeren?" Tyrrin asks, taking a small bite from an apple.

"Well, let's give the breakfast a look?" he pulls the tray closer and lifts the lid, revealing a tray of fruit and bit of bread, with juice and cofee. He hands Tyrrin a cloth napkin with silverware rolled into it.
"I seriously could get used to this..."

"I couldn't do anything but help. The whole planet might've been wiped clean otherwise, and I'll gladly risk my own life for the sake of so many. I must say though, I am also relieved that such sacrifice wasn't necessary." she replies, serious and intense, though as Ghalen's hand cups her cheek she can feel her lightly press into his palm. She's obviously still the same headstrong young woman she was the previous day... but a little more affectionate, as if cherishing the moments together just a little more.

"You had better be used to it by the time we're ready to leave Avalon, as overzealous servants are the norm at home. They tend to scold you if you leave the food untouched." she replies with a wry grin that tells Ghalen that there's been many an occasion where she's been on the receiving end of such scoldings.

She does take the time to actually sit up though, glancing at the breakfast. "You'll have to give Thel my thanks."
