Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

A brace of cinnamon rolls held firmly in his hand, Repp dodges past some commotion occurring in the cafeteria, trotting out onto the patio - recent scene of some commotion itself, and begins the quick jaunt back down to the lake on foot.

A small dog like creature resembling a stuffed animal made of multicolor patchwork runs up to Kim, making barking noises.

"Nooo! The bad things are gone now! Don't hurt her!"
A little human girl in a well worn dress runs after the dog.
At her commands, the dog backs off, but in her running, the little girl's worn out shoes slip on the wet cobblestone streets, and she falls, banging knees and elbows with a shrill yell.
The dog thing runs back to her, trying to help, the girl stays on the ground, crying and clutching her scraped knee.

Kim stood there when the dog thing approached. her arms up as if to protect her face from a possible attack.

but she hears another girl's voice. slowly she lowers her hands. noticing the other girl crying. there is a slight hesitation, as Kim is unsure what to do. I know mommy, OK, I'll ask Kim seems to be talking to nobody. she sets her teddy bear on the ground next to her, and she goes over to the girl, and gets on her knees next to her.

are you hurt? she asks a touch of fear in her voice.

Vickory uses her lightning fast reflexes to attempt to counter the girls spell with a greater dispel.

1d20 + 16 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 16 + 4 = 24

Then she attempts to dispel the enchantment on the girl.
1d20 + 16 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 16 + 4 = 26

Vickory used detect magic when she the magic mark. Problem solved.

Watching Vai leave, off to get breakfast, Ardiente gets an idea, a bit of a strange one, which conjures up a sly smile. "Alright, you're right. I'll be right back." he says, a light kiss placed right on Raelle's lips, warm and comforting, before Ardiente turns and takes a few quick steps and leaps into the air, assuming his red/orange bird form, shot through with a distinct purple reminder that he wasn't pure blooded. The Firebird swoops over the serving tables, dipping down just at the right moment as if he were hunting, and snatching up a few bits of food, earning shouts of dismay from others waiting patiently in line.

His mission finished, Ardiente wheels back to join Raelle...

As upset and worried as she is, she can't help but smile at his display of aerial acrobatics as he retrieved breakfast. He really did have the prettiest plumage...

He starts laughing at a few of her choicest insults
"Ha! I know, right?" He says in infernal, or abyssal whichever was being used.
"She is possessed...and it's pissed!" he says in common with a kind of weird glee.

"Umm, just choke her till she passes out. That usually works." he says to Jeran.

The little girl just nods, tears streaming down her face.
Of course, she is just a little girl after all. A scraped knee is nothing to scoff at...

Kim simply looks at the little girl. My mom would kiss the scrape and make the pain go away, i could do that, alright? Kim asks as she looks at the scrape.

heal skill just in case its worse than that: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (6) + 25 = 31

One arm gripped by Casseus, the other by Jeran, while Tryko'Sam seems to be caught in the middle of acting, perhaps even considering knocking the girl unconscious... Casseus' words do seem to ring true, but he holds off.

Vickory's spell goes off, and flows on and around the girl, clearly unaffected by the effort of her weaving. Clearly this isn't some paltry caster.

The girl laughs at Vickory's efforts and says, "Fools! Your magics are pathetic! I'll devour this girl's soul unless you release me, immediately!"

Bluff: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28

You'll have to tell me if she 'lies' properly or not to you guys, since I don't have your Sense Motives handy.

Tryko'Sam tenses up, not wishing to put anyone's soul at risk, but if someone looks his way, it's clear he's thinking-- or maybe looking else where.

Too late did Ardiente realize the flaw with his plan... whatever he was holding in his talons would shift to his feet when he transformed into his other form.

::Whoops, didn't think that through. Could you take these for a second please?:: Ardiente sends to Raelle, moving in close to over in front of her, creating something of a small localized windstorm with the required wing beats to stay hovering. He offers the food in his talons to Raelle - burnt toast and a few slices of charred ham.

Hm... breakfast foods... I wonder if Firebirds have eggs as a food. xD

This time the spell strikes true--

The Enchantment goes away, instantly, and along with it, the Arcane Mark on her chest, right after the Comprehend Languages fading into the universe as it's unraveled.

The girl passes out, as whatever was in her, evacuates her body. She's breathing though, held by both of the males there.

Tryko'Sam says, "Did you fix it? Was that a knock out spell or something? Tattoo is gone."

Ehos replies, still a bit of mirth in his eyes, obviously not terribly serious. He does glance in the direction of the commotion outside when it occurs, but seeing others rush in that direction, turns his attention back to.

'I'm gonna go sit back with my girl, thanks again goo-guy.' Ehos says with a bright smile.

Vickory ignores Rex and starts examining the girl, at least till the nurse takes over. Vickory clearly has at least a little first aid skill.

She gives Tryko a trinket with an etched picture of Vickory on it. "It won't register as magic or anything other then a trinket. No connection to me until I make one. Good for black operations. The range is limited, but if you get caught or stuck, as long as you have this, I can see what it sees and speak through it."

Vickory isn't asking but certainly looks like she's asking to go.

Initially smirking at the 'gift', the smirk fades as he takes the trinket from Vickory, he frowns holding it gingerly, "Say.. what? It's a communication device?" He seems to consider it in a fashion one might a viper, especially after her dead pan description of what it can do. "I ... don't know if this is wise. It's far away from the school, if that's what you meant."

Pausing a moment, Tryko'Sam seems to consider Jeran, adding, "I could ...wait, and explain, I suppose. But if these ass hats are a threat now-- might be a bad idea. I think it's a cult."

He looks torn though, weighing some option in his mind. Clearly something Jeran said just now triggers the thought.

Well that bit of story arc got utterly lost. Le sigh....

As the conversation at the table was not yet addressing Vai's sudden departure, Fei's attention split between there and a quick survey of the rest of the Cafeteria. He briefly spotted a familiar face he had not seen for some time. Unfortunately, as he was about to excuse himself to go talk to Jeran, something happened outside, and the lycan had taken off at speed, coming back in only in passing with an apparently injured person over his shoulder.

Guessing that he was heading for the Infirmary, Fei bows apologetically to the others and says "I must excuse myself - there appears to have been an injury outside that I may need to assist with. May your mornings be bright." (=^-^=)

He makes his way for a side exit to intercept Jeran when...

Rena, the Companion wrote:

During the exchange with the Lycans and the subsequent arrival of Silinrul, Rena herself has wandered off - perhaps distracted by something on the far end of the cafeteria, away from the action (and the mean Lycans).

It is towards a rather Perfect young man that she is drawn. Everything about him screamed beauty and symmetry and perfection. She just wanted to touch him.

---

Fei will see a young winged woman - school aged and dressed in a tight fitting top and a rather short skirt, with her hip-length blue-white hair flowing fully around her in thick locks - approaching him with a joyful smile on her face. It's only by the grace of Fei's ability to read people and his ability to react that tells him that she's going to reach out to touch him, meeting his eyes...

The young monk notes that this woman is purposefully moving to intercept him. He has no idea why she means to make actual contact with him, and her expression would not seem to indicate that she had anything to do with the injured person.

He gracefully adjusts his own movement, stepping smoothly to the side almost as if tracing a half-orbit around her to maintain their distance for a few more seconds. As he does so, he bows respectfully to her.

"Good morning, miss....is there something I may help you with? Are you a friend of the injured woman that was just here?"

Fei's quick action to subtly keep some distance from her gives Rena a moment's pause as she stops short, frowning slightly. He really was beautiful, even more so that Bradley. She could almost feel his grace and power through his careful movements and respectful bow. Rena tries to mimic the motion, a perhaps ill-advised course of action given the rather short skirt she's wearing (and she now has the full attention of several young men seated behind her). Her wings splay out slightly as she bows, perhaps in an effort to ensure balance. One of Rena's admirer's whistles appreciatively, but Rena fails to notice it, or doesn't understand what it means.

"Erm... no, not really. I was just wondering if you'd like to have sex later today? There's probably not enough time before class." she says, completely straight-faced. Though there is a hint of blush about her features, she's clearly not embarrassed at all by what she just suggested.

The nurse adds, still firmly, committed to her cause.

"This is a place of healing and life-- if you have the urge to inflict injury, and the lack of empathy for your surroundings, the SIM rooms can assist you, but not in here. Not after this weekend. Thank you."

With that, she steps forward more fully and says, "I'll attend to this girl, if none of you are injuried, please find another place to talk of your murderous plans."

Effectively shooing the foursome out of the room with the recently freed girl, now with one less thing on her body.
