"You wound me!"
He sets a hand over his chest and makes a show of looking fake hurt, as his other wrist flicks the wrecking ball to the side, punching a circular hole through a zombie's chest.
he gets a bit of a chuckle, and she smashes some more zombies.

Rakki Okane |

The wrecking ball dissappears in a puff of his white smoke.
He sets to work using only foot and hand, and occasionally tail strikes.
Florence might be observant enough to notice that his fighting style and weaponry* changes whenever a new song starts.
*Weaponry is a term used loosely. The shuriken is the only thing he's used so far that resembles a traditional weapon. And even that's more of a pointy manhole cover.

Raelle del Sol |

Djalos continues to stab at his food. "It may have been monstrous, but it was necessary," he says quietly. It actually sounds like he's quoting something.
"It wasn't necessary. They weren't telling you the truth. I'm sorry, but I've known too many genuinely disciplined people who are able to control their emotions and actions without threat of body mutilation to believe that there aren't a lot of better ways to learn control."
She made a face at Archena's comment about party guests treating servants inappropriately. "You know, Archena, it's stories like that that make me feel happy I was raised on the surface....mostly," she added as she thought of her younger sisters and the problems they faced because of growing up away from other firebirds.

Djalos Tyon |

Djalos continues at stabbing his food. "...I suppose so... But the thing is... well... how else is the human equivalent of a ten-year-old supposed to learn how to control his emotions while killing what has been his best friend for the last twenty years?"

Ardiente |

"Then there's not a lot you can do outside of the occasional fetch and carry as we try to get this built and work the bugs out at the same time. If you know anyone who's good at that stuff and can help Arthur over there check calculations so Melody can focus on what she's gonna have to do, then that would be great," she said in that same distracted businesslike tone as she looked over the part she had pulled out of the tank, frowned, and put it back in, fingers flying across the keys as she programmed in the necessary adjustments.
Ardiente's grin slowly fades away as nobody in the room seems to be smiling, and there's a fervent pace to what they're doing. He couldn't sense any deception in the room. Either they were really good actors or... "Wait... you weren't joking?" he asks, sounding somewhat dumbfounded. Clearly, Ardiente hasn't been a part of the Sunwake family long enough.
He wracks his brain, trying to think of anyone he had met that might have the skills requested. For a moment he just stands there awkwardly, before at least trying to give a suggestion. "Maybe Raelle can do something to help? Or Vai? They're pretty good at this stuff, right?"

![]() |

"whoever you think can and will help, if they can at least understand the concepts then they can work as assistants, data entry with existing simulations and whatnot, this is a big deal, two universes, Mis Epebee, and Melody here are in critical danger here, normally for a project of this scope I would like to have a month to design and test the thing. We don't have a month, in fact a week would be pushing it, so if you or someone you know can be a help, fantastic, otherwise please leave, we have work to do." He says with a serious tone, not once turning away from his screen.

Ehos Denulia |

Nala tries to slow her breathing, focusing hard on just breathing in and out to keep the panic at bay. The hallway was still covered in frost and the air was cold. See your breath cold. But not Nala's breath.
"Yes, I am a member of the infirmary staff," she said in as calm a voice as she could manage. "I apologize if my actions seemed threatening. My abilities with ice and cold tend to get out of my control when I am particularly distressed. Are either of you familiar with the fey at all?"
The ice gets considerably thicker when Alys speaks.
The blood dribbling out of Ehos' nose increases it's flow briefly when Alys speaks, though the rest of his face is ashen as his headache is starting to drown out all other concerns. He tries hard to focus on what's happening though, but he backs down from his defensive stance at Ryuzo's assurances and Nala's apologies. With his datapad he introduces Alys, relating in short form that she has no idea what Nala is talking about, and that she's had the sword and speech for fifty-four years.
'I only have a passing knowledge of the fey. Rumours and hearsay.' Ehos admits, lifting a hand to wipe at the tickling sensation on his face, surprised to see his hand come away bloody.

Lily Svarog |

Sorchan came into the room and closed the door behind him.
"First of all, I want you to know that everything said in this room is confidential. I will not violate your privacy, Miss Svarog. I was called in for a...cultural consultation since your cultural beliefs and what is medically best for you are currently at odds. Miss Surya is welcome to stay if that helps you feel comfortable."
"So perhaps we can talk this through and come up with a solution that doesn't involve turning yourself into a phoenix?"Reminder: phoenix are notoriously stupid pets.
Serrin's impassioned outburst and Phaezeriel's horrified refusal earn nothing but quiet consideration from the young woman, the logical part of her mind looking for an out, an option, something.
As soon as Sorchan steps into the room, Phaezeriel can feel Lily's mind start to fight against the wet blanket cooling her emotions, wanting to break free of the control and start panicking again. Clearly, Sorchan's presence along would be enough to instigate another panic attack if her emotions weren't suppressed.
"So it's to be blackmail then." Lily deadpans in response to Sorchan's assertions. Not an unlikely response if one wasn't overly familiar with Sorchan's personal politics. Her voice is calm and uninflected as she carries on. "I don't see any other solution, Lord del Sol. Serrin wishes for me to bear this shame with grace, but I cannot see how to do so. I have lived all my life pursuing an ideal. That ideal has been despoiled, left in ashes. Perhaps it would be better for me to be like the pheonix. Then, at least, something new may arise from the ashes."

Florence notices, but has nothing to say.

Rena, the Companion |

"Use this, hon."
He pulls a light blue handkerchief from Pyry's ear.
Before handing it to her he flicks his amulet and the circle in the middle lights up. He traces an R for Rena on the handkerchief in glowy magic. It quickly fades into embroidery, showing her possession of it.
He hands it to her by placing it on the end of the white crook which springs out so she doesn't need to come retrieve it from him.
Rena plucks the hanky from the crook and immediately blows her nose, messily and noisily, wiping several times. Her eyes are still rimmed red, but at least she can breath through her nose again.
She awkwardly holds the used hanky, fidgeting from Dave's need for haste, but having no idea what to do with the soiled piece of cloth now. Tybs notes that she lacks pockets of any kind. "Thanks Tybalt. What do I do with it now?"

Vare, the Summoner |

Kevin finally arrives in the conjuration room, setting the keg down with a thud.
"Finally...," He sighs.
"I brought holy water. A lot. And I can make it the strong kind. I figured it'd be a safe way to purge the whatever it is and not hurt Sam."
He collapses to the floor, tired of walking and standing. Despite the new form he had and its immense strength, his mind still told him that this was far too much exercise for one day.
Vare nods absently, still muttering under his breath.
A few moments pass and he glances up, examining Kevin thoroughly. "Are you able to fly under your own power?" he asks without preamble. Clearly, social skills are not Vare's forte.

Tyrrin Denulia |

When Ace opens the door after Ty knocks on it, a small puppy runs up and wags her tail happily at Ace's best friend. "Well, Squeaky seems to like you" He says in an uncharacteristically quite voice. Gone is the happy go lucky guy Ty has come to know Ace as, instead replace by a somber, almost sad demeanor.
Let me know if that link works, k?
Tyrrin, on the other hand, seems distinctly uncomfortable with the over-enthuastic puppy. Clearly she wasn't used to pets, and takes a reflexive step back. Of course, a puppy is not so easily denied, sniffing and investigating the new visitors.
Tyrrin tries her best to set aside her discomfort, though she doesn't quite stoop to pet the exctiable creature, looking to Ace instead. Her voice is a little strained when she speaks. "What's the matter, Ace?"

Tybalt Baneko |

He reaches under his shirt and produces a shoulder bag labeled "I ♡ NNY."
He tips it up and dumps out a large number of gem stones, precious and otherwise into the case of his pillow into which they dissappear back into his small pocket dimension.
He tosses the bag to her.
"You can keep stuff in there. Some day I'm gonna figure out a good way to put pockets in women's clothing."

Florence Levitt |

"You're quiet. I hate quiet. Anything you want to talk about? Want to try some of your spells?"
"I'm not used to talking to people. And not really. I'll stick with what's reliable. Not even sure I like having magic."
she pauses, and then says."You don't count!"

Kevin Ramos |

"I assume so."
He pokes at his new wings, through which one can see to the other side with a blurry blue tint.
You remember how when you stretched out that gooey stuff Nickelodeon sold you could kinda see through? A lot like that.
"Never actually tried that part. Kinda funny, really. I was so distracted with other things. Could probably have more wings of I tried..."
He muses out loud.

He is blissfully unaware of the dragons stalking him while he's eating, the small bones on his necklace clacking as he tears at his lunch."I said, come down from that tree now," Ryleh repeated in a calm but firm voice.
The munching stops mid crunch, as there's a stirring. A male head pokes out and over the branch. He wipes a way the "juices" from his mouth, his slightly feline facial features are accented with a flash of his teeth as he smiles.
"Umm...sure...?" he pulls back into the tree cover, and you'll hear the rustle of feathers as he gives a couple flexing beats of his wings, until the final full down beat gets him airborne, and he swoops up and around, then lands on the ground in front of his guests. He looks them once over, looking for obvious stabbing weapons. Something has him cautious."How may I help you?" He says, with a very slight purring rumble. He's obviously not a native speaker of common...

Tybalt Baneko |

"It would take a while to explain. I'll tell you later. That's another reason for you to come back safe."
He pokes at Dave with the crook.

Florence Levitt |

"So having talking shoes and out running skimmer is normal, but Gods forbid you use any magic of your own. That's where the line gets drawn."
He summons and throws the giant shuriken which returns to him after cleaving through a few zombie's and a tree.
l
she doesn't respond to that.. Aside from starting to acutslly try and kill the zombies, darting around, hitting one after another, trying to be done as quickly as possible.

Florence Levitt |

"Never really liked that word. Weird. Always felt like it was just Something people used to put down things that are different. Different isn't bad... Different is just... Different."
A hurl of coins destroys several of the few remaining zombies.
"If it makes me feel uncomfortable, I don't really care what it's called. My innate Magic, my tails... All make me feel odd, out of place, and midly itchy."

Florence Levitt |

"Kinda feel like being different here makes us the same more than being different in the outside world makes us different. Some crazy stuff here. I think it's gonna be fun."
"One, that doesn't make sense. Two, I'm still itchy. Three, no clue how long I'll stay here."

Florence Levitt |

"It doesn't make sense that it would be any more itchy now than before. It's not like you didn't have them when they were tucked in. If anything, that would be more itchy, since they'd be stuck to your legs."
"You thought i... No, they aren't there when I'm not showing them. At all."

Raelle del Sol |

"Can We talk about something other than our awful childhoods now?"
She thinks her head down on the table.
"Please," she agreed, looking a little queasy after Djalos's last comment.

"Vai isn't in any position to help this time," she said her voice catching a little as she glanced over at the table where Vai's body was lying under a blanket. She pinched the bridge of her nose, trying to get her emotions under control. "And I never joke about the end of the universe." She took a deep breath and squared her shoulders. Now wasn't the time to give in to emotions. Now was the time to work.
"I do seem to recall Raelle being good at mathemagics. If she's willing to help, then yes, as I said, Arthur could use some assistance with the equations."
Rakki Okane |

"I wonder where it goes. Do you ever wonder where the extra material comes from when you turn into something bigger? I mean, no way it's possible to make cells that quickly. Plus if that is what happened, where's it go after the spell is over? It has to go somewhere, I think. You can't create or destroy stuff, just change what it exists as."

I should be able to help," she said, straining to remain calm."I am sorry for this interruption of your tour Jessa," she added, turning her attention back to her charge. "I wasn't expecting you to answer it. Just thinking out loud..."
He pauses for a moment as he catches his shuriken as it flies back to him.
"Do you think there's like a whole other plane just full of disembodied tails that just kind of float there until we have them out?"
Flourence stops and stares for a while.
"No."

When the person comes from the tree with no apparent hostility, Sheessuroussen walks toward the maftet slowly.
His hair is silver gray and pulled back into a severe topknot; the tall gentleman is well muscled and darkly tanned, and though he looks to be quite old, he stands erect and looking regal in his dark blue robes. His eyes are piercing and predatory, like a shark or jaguar, though he does not look to be angry or violent in any way, it is simply that he is a predator and he definitely shows it. His voice is like the rumble of the tide as he speaks.
"Sir, I wish to inquire as to your purpose and reasoning to be in these woods, if you do not mind my asking." Though he is polite and respectful, you have the feeling that he is not asking so much as he is demanding politely.

Phaezeriel remains quiet, listening to the conversation. When it dawns on him the reason behind Lily's distress at learning of her psychic abilities, it takes all his considerable will to keep his expression neutral. The idiocy of racial purists never fails to annoy him.
