Once you know where you mean to go and have homes set up you are of course free to withdraw them from the school at that time if you wish. I'm just trying to offer you an option that will make life easier in the meantime."

She stops immediately in mid statement to answer Scorchan's request.

Archena hears his announcement from the tent and grabs her badly packed suitcase, sprinting for the skimmer.
Her parents outside talking to other nobles simply put a hand over their eyes and hopes no one recognizes the family resemblance.
Her physical deformity means that she could never be of use to them. It was just their luck they had a large back yard she could run around in and stay out of the way.
They had found an opportunity to get rid of her and she went of her own free will, so they had no intentions of stopping her.

Fei makes his way back to the Materials and Supplies building after a short while. While the building itself had been (for the most part) restored, there was still much work to be done if the school was going to return to any semblance of 'business as usual'.

The young monk spends the rest of the night helping the warehouse staff prepare for the beginning of the week. Once that is done, he leaves for his morning katas a bit earlier than is his norm. The green is empty, the stillness of the predawn hour covering it like a blanket against the atrocities of the last two days.

With a centering breath, Fei rises into the air. He does not stop his climb until he reaches an altitude where the sun's first light is already touching Agartha's atmosphere. From that lofty height he slowly descends, taking in those first rays of dawn as he silently returns to the earth...

Vai was a little concerned at Fei's apparent absence when she arrived at the green that morning, and delays her new morning practice for a moment or two to look around the green. She hadn't ever known him to be late. Though... maybe he'd actually decided to sleep. She briefly wondered if she should go find him... but the dawn waits for no one.

And so she began to move through the forms to greet the dawn. She knew them well enough from many months of watching Fei, though her memory isn't perfect, and the movements themselves are still unfamiliar to her.

If Fei looks down at any point during his decent, he'll see Vai awkwardly working through the forms, her unfamiliarity plain. She's only performed them herself once before after all. It lacks the grace and uniformity of Fei's own flawless practice... but it's heartfelt, and that's the most important part.

Vai greets the dawning sun with a final bow, her expression serene in the warm light of the morning. For a long moment after the bow is finished and she's straightened, she seems to get lost in the moment, observing the red-orange glow spilling across the cloud near the horizon. Thus does she fail to notice Fei descending nearby.

Hmmm....will have to investigate this later. My guess (at least for this night) is that Fei will respectfully leave him to his work unless he did something to act out, as the young monk is quite focused (driven might be a better term) on his own work in there. On the other hand, they should be the only two 'gifted' folks in there...perhaps they can cross paths in the Cafeteria for breakfast?

Bottom Line: Anybody who is helping to get this place back to normal is okay with Fei right now ;)

"Uh..." he stopped, a bit surprised at the enthusiastic response.

"Well, that's at least one child who would rather go to school than sit around being bored, I guess."

"As I was saying, things are likely to get a bit difficult over the coming days for the children. Being cooped up in tents tends to leave children irritable and hyper. So sending them to the school, even temporarily, will offer a respite for both them and you."

"Well, I hope it hits the spot. I grabbed Vasya a couple pieces of not so cooked bacon. She doesn't seem to mind." he feeds the fox a piece while she's still on his shoulder.
He reaches out and gives Nala's hand a light squeeze, one of the few ways he can show affection without causing problems...
"You look beautiful, by the way."

He nods as she talks about her agenda for the day...
"I have my first unarmed class this morning. It should be interesting.
Do you want me to have a clone with you while you deal with her? Just in case?"

She smiled at the compliment. "Thank you."

"Well, all I can say about the class is good luck. You're going to need it. You know what the students can be like."

"Yes, I think having a clone with me would be a good idea. If nothing else it should put the girl at ease. She seems uncomfortable around women. I presume that the researchers she interacted with were female."

"No," he replies with a smile. "I just....had a need to feel the morning sun for a bit longer this morning. I am sorry for not coming back sooner."

He motions to the ground as he finishes his descent to the green.

"But I am happy that you were here to greet the dawn for me," he adds with honest pride. ^^

Vai lands next to Fei, though oddly she doesn't retract her wings. She returns his pride with a note of her own. "It's a new day. A new beginning." there's something a bit odd in her voice too. A kind of zest. She bites her lip and looks him in the eye. "Would it be alright if I kissed you?" she asks, obviously not throwing all caution to the winds quite yet. "I... want to try pushing our boundries a little."

"I would have missed you terribly, were that the case..." he says as he kisses her gently, just a smidgen of the worry and relief leaking through his tone.

"Well, everyone has a duty, servants no less than anyone else. But I fear I will enjoy them exercising that duty a little too much." he says with his trademark grin.

"That having been said, I am not certain 'Thel will accompany us back to your homeland. He seems hesitant to commit to such. I will not press him on it, for now, though. He is good council and great teacher of Elven ways."

Ghalen notices the future tense of "we" and the assumption that he will return to her homeland with her. It makes him super happy to hear, but he will not tease her about it, afraid the dream may vanish if mentioned aloud...

Hehe. Must not jinx it... ;P

She returns the kiss, but says nothing more on the matter, deciding it wasn't a coversation for the breakfast 'table'.

"Did he advise you on the decor the other evening, I wonder? Is he native to Laeren?" Tyrrin asks, taking a small bite from an apple.
