"Yeah..." he says watching her eat, amazed
"I doubt fighting is going to solve that, then. It 'll just happen again."
Raelle del Sol |

Raelle looked around the cafeteria to see if she could find Ginni. She shook her head in disgust as she saw the people crowded around a screen watching the duel. When she didn't see Ginni she turned to go, but was stopped by a wispy looking blonde girl.
"It's Raelle, right? I'm Aimee....we sit next to each other in Art class...ummm...listen, if you're looking for your friend, she ran out of the school earlier. I think she was crying."
"Oh...uh....thank, Aimee....ummm....have you seen any of my other friends? Tami or Morrivan or Vai?"
Aimee frowned slightly. "No, I haven't seen any of them. I think they took Morrivan to the infirmary last night. I saw them heading that way anyhow. No idea what happened though. Ummm.....not to be super insensitive, but....have you seen the casualty list?"
Raelle hesitated. Something about the way Aimee asked the question was making her uneasy. "Ummm.....no.....why?"
"Umm...." Aimee twirled her hair nervously. "I think maybe you should. It's up on the bulletin board just outside the cafeteria....I'm sorry," she added quickly before hurrying away, apparently having used up all her courage.

David.De'Foul |

The various images of David appear to be in various positions of ovbious bordom, one of them looks to be napping, another, leaning on a support piller, another sitting on the air dangling his feet, another is upside down, and another is slowly rotating, and so on.
One of them yawns and says "you were the one who wanted the fight, so, come up and fight,"

"Exactly," she said, shoveling a mouthful of scrambled eggs into her mouth.
"Oh...uh...pardon my manners. I fell asleep and missed dinner last night. I'm Janie Twofeather, by the way. Are you new? I haven't seen you before, but that could just be me...I tend to get kinda wrapped up in my music and I miss stuff."

"Ace" |

Ace takes out a deck of cards and starts to play solitaire "Your move magic boy. Or are you totally useless without your spells? If so, give up now and save yourself the humiliation."

Gavin Trell |

"Exactly," she said, shoveling a mouthful of scrambled eggs into her mouth."Oh...uh...pardon my manners. I fell asleep and missed dinner last night. I'm Janie Twofeather, by the way. Are you new? I haven't seen you before, but that could just be me...I tend to get kinda wrapped up in my music and I miss stuff."
"My name is Gavin Trell, nice to meet you Janie. I've been here for a while, but this is my first term attending classes. That's a cool name, Twofeather. Does it have special meaning?"

"Ace" |

"Sounds like you can't fight me on my terms. You chose to run away, but I'm not going to chase you. I have made my move, casting this defensive barrier. Now I await you. Or can you do nothing to me without your magicks?. I wonder how you plan to defeat that lich you seek revenge against. My spell is a typical response to a powerful caster. I guess you're just useless now, huh? Never will get that vengeance you so desperately seek."
Btw, its been your turn. I cast Ant-Magic Field on my last, and have been waiting for you.

David.De'Foul |

"I don't really 'seek vengeance' espically on the little that you've done, you gotta get in line behind a litch and the emperor, you forget, you challenged me" each of the Daves points to a different Dave "and like your spell, flight is the standard response to someone who's as good close range as you are, so if I'm running, you are, at best hiding,"

Fei, of the Sun Soul |

Vai gives Mel a slightly questioning look as she introduces her and Fei to Florence, but she doesn't push any further than that. She could talk to Mel a bit later, in private.
Fei bows respectfully to Melody and Florence.
"Good morning." (^-^)
Fei, of the Sun Soul |

"Hello everyone. Nice to meet you."
Florence spaces out for a moment.
"Good point."
Florence snaps out of it abruptly and looks at vai.
"You... Apologized for those tremors? How did you cause them?"
She curtsies properly to Florence after the introductions are done. "Pleased to meet you Florence."
She blushes slightly at Florence's questions about tremors. "Well... yeah. We kinda caused them. Sorry again. I'll let Fei explain if he wants to."
Mel pulls vai aside for a bit
The young monk gives the ladies their privacy and, bowing once more to Florence he steps away in the direction of the Cafeteria.

Ghalen Kiln |

Ghalen Kiln wrote:"If My Lady would like some assistance, I could be of use with the repairs.""That would be very helpful Ghalen. Shall we make it a date for after classes?" she says with a raised eyebrow and that wry smile she gets when she thinks she's being funny.
"As you wish, M'lady." he says returning the smile, with a little nod-bow of the head. He leans over and gives her a long, passionate kiss.
"That shall have to tide me over until then." *GRIN*Sorry I missed this! I could've sworn I replied to this already

Adon Derro |

Vickory points at Adon's arms, "You are assuming you can kill him that quickly. But the soldier is trained for war, trained to attack and deal with all kinds of threats including those stuffy researchers who do nothing but create spells every day. And lesser spells they may be, but you are still needing to defend against those. The soldier won't rely on them, but one will use them, Thick Mist for example, so you are only guessing where to cast while the soldier gets closer, wall of fire to delay your movements, a summoned mounts for speed, a Growth or Shrink spell, a lightning bolt if you are stupid enough to just stand in the open without good defenses, I think you are forgetting that I am favoring a combination, not a pure non-magical fighter."
"Spheres of invelurablity will wreck dabblers. Completely. Flight wrecks any attempt at trying to hit the Mage. Then, the Mage can use mass attack spells. So long as a Mage of "equal" talent can take out more solders of "equal" talent, then the Mage is better."
the black aura creeps up his arms and around his shoulders.
Casseus Rex |

Watching the fight while he eats a heaping plate of breakfast meat.
"Well, that's a non-show. I guess all of the rightous conviction that led to the fight has faded, or was never really there to begin with. They could have settled this with checkers, woulda been more exciting."
He turns and goes to a table, and plops down at the same table but aways down from Janie and Gavin.

Vai Sunwake |

Mel tries to say what's on her mind but she seems afraid to.
several times she starts to say something but nothing.
** spoiler omitted **
Vai looks a little pained at that, glancing away from Mel for a second, before looking back at her, meeting her eyes.
"Mel... it's been a hard weekend for all of us. I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you, but it's not like I haven't been doing important things. On Saturday night I was working to get things back to normal... and yesterday..."
She gets a slightly haunted look in her eyes.
"Yesterday was bad too."

Lily Svarog |

When the youth speaks again, he sneaks a glance up at Lily, about waist high, then up, politely not pausing at her bosom more than is appropriate for her efforts and station-- clearly he's a person of trained etiquette.
When he speaks again, she would realize that he is in fact noble, but someone she'd ignored or never paid attention too, yet his manner and deference to her station, might be appealing?
"Lady Svarong, you dropped this." His offering to her is of one of her hair pins, not critical for the buns, but certainly, useful and of high value, inlaid with gold and gems. It must have slipped loose in the walking outside on open ground. It sits laying, atop his twin palms as an offering to her, as one would to a higher station.
He certainly has the skills of someone befitting of his station ..which makes her dwell on things a moment more.

Again, Lily is gratified by this person's manners and deference. It seemed... proper. He wasn't of one of the Council families, but definitely among the upper class. She vaguely remembers seeing him somewhere before, but it's gone before she can grasp anything else about his identity.
"I am much obliged, Sir." Lily returns ostentatiously, gently laying a hand on the proffered hairpin, brushing the young man's palms as she takes it. She almost turns away, back to what she had been doing. Almost. Instead, she simply says, "You have me at a disadvantage. What is your name?" with all the grace and civility she can muster.

Alreenneesha sits next to Casseus Rex also looking at the big Screen showing the Duel. She looks at him.
"What are they doing?"

Casseus Rex |

Stops mid bite, and raises an eyebrow.
"Not-fighting." he says with sarcasm. "What are you supposed to be?"

Pyrrhos Svarog |

"I am much obliged, Sir." Lily returns ostentatiously, gently laying a hand on the proffered hairpin, brushing the young man's palms as she takes it. She almost turns away, back to what she had been doing. Almost. Instead, she simply says, "You have me at a disadvantage. What is your name?" with all the grace and civility she can muster.
Pyrrhos watches from just out of their sight, intrigued by his sister's actions. It was rare she interacted with others. Especially as she called them' 'those below her station'.

Alreenneesha |

Stops mid bite, and raises an eyebrow.
"Not-fighting." he says with sarcasm. "What are you supposed to be?"
She thinks for a moment, lights around her move.
"A Student, I was told so yesterday and you?"
This is not said with any sarcasm but as a statement.

Melody Waverider |

Mel just looks at Vai a bit pained at everything, both what she said and what Vai said
I just wish you could have told me. I don''t want you to change for me, I just want to be included, that's all. I really want to be friends, its just tough when I feel like you don't want me to help, or be included.
after a short pause
lets make a fresh start, starting today, OK?

Rising up after the second post hairpin removal and brush of Palm, Sven says with a gracious and polite bow, "I am happy to assist and help prevent loss of your family's treasures, even if but a bauble, Lady. Please forgive my impulsiveness, returning the item was foremost on my mind, my social skills lazed behind that intent."
With that, he stands there and looks off, spotting any one glancing his and her way, then to a glance at the skimmer.
"Theses are Sunless days now, we must adhere to our noble ways as best we can while our leaders determine what to do next as a society. I happened to see yon skimmer and would be curious if your Ladyship needed an escort, considering her station and the possibility of danger. I profess I am curious of his school as well, having heard ...rumors, from my father of it." His words end with him looking at Sorchan mostly, but then back to meet Lily's gaze, adding, "It would be my honor and privilege, Lady, in recognition of your family's status. Plus, perhaps you might grace me of tales, as you are not a common sight in our old home, and this place. I would be honored at the chance to learn more of your House, and yourself."

Ardiente |

"Prior to you remind me of this, I figured the odds were pretty even one way or another, now it's probably the prank option, and he calls me for help, phooie, you got any hocus pocus that might help?"
"None, sorry. I can't use magic, and my bending won't be of much use in this regard." he says with a small shrug.
"Raelle might be able to help though, but she is still learning so I'm not so sure. You ready?" Ardiente says, patiently waiting with his hands clasped behind his back in a very soldier-like stance.

Repp, the Bleached |

"Oh, it's just enchantment type stuff," she said dismissively. "I inherited it from my mom. Which is why it isn't exactly safe to use being a demon ability and all. I've spent a lot of time learning how not to use it to avoid accidents."
Repp's eyes twinkle slightly at that, his grin widening slightly. "Maybe I can help with that. I might be able to help make it more safe. After all, just because it is your mother's legacy doesn't make it evil. Is this why your mind seems so... seductive? I've brushed against it once before."

Ehos Denulia |

Jaiye led Sil to the cafeteria and looked around until she spotted Ehos sitting strangely. She frowned.
"Come on, Sil. Over there," she said, grabbing his arm and guiding him through the crowd. She was momentarily distracted by a screen on the wall showing a scene of two hotheads going at it. Geez. Not even the lycans had thrown down challenges this morning. What morons. Her attention was once more focused on Ehos as they approached the table where he was sitting."What's wrong? Why are you holding the tray all weird?" she asked.
Ehos had already unloaded all of the food he's gotten for the lycans onto the table so that the tray was empty, which only made it weirding that he was holding it like he was.
'Stuck. Somebody played a prank on me.' he displays with his pad, raising the tray up and 'waving' with it, like an extension of his hand. Obviously the prank hasn't dampened the mood he and Jaiye developed in the shower that morning - still quite cheerful.
'No worries Sil. I'm gonna go find some Universal Solvent for this though, I just wanted to make sure you guys got your food.'
He grins silently at Jaiye, 'Shame I didn't get stuck to something more fun, like you.'

Tyrrin Denulia |

"As you wish, M'lady." he says returning the smile, with a little nod-bow of the head. He leans over and gives her a long, passionate kiss.
"That shall have to tide me over until then." *GRIN*Sorry I missed this! I could've sworn I replied to this already
Tyrrin lingers a long moment, content with breakfast and the kiss. A warmth had started to spread from her chest, driving away the chills in her soul from the horrors of the previous day. "And me as well. I should get going though. If you would thank 'Thel for breakfast from me?" she asks as she rises from the bed, dressing herself.

"Yeah, it means when it came time for my naming ceremony, the one thing about me that my grandmother remembered was this one day when I was like five years old and I had picked up two feathers from the ground and was running around pretending to be a bird," she said, nibbling on bacon. "I mean, of all the things to remember." She shrugged. "Well, not much I can do about grandmother being a bit off."
"So," she said, dumping ketchup all over a big pile of hashbrowns before taking a huge bite, "why were you not in classes? Were you sick or something?"

narrator |
Cindra nods to Sorchan, more of a slight bow, really, and steps back beside Solus. She looks at Hestia and Solus and speaks with a confidence and sense of purpose that she rarely displays, "I am going to gather a few things and get on the shuttle, will you two come with me?"
"You already know my answer," Solus said, smiling to see Cindra taking charge.
"And what of you, little cousin?" he asked Phaedra, noticing that she had crept up near them.

Ginni wrote:"Oh, it's just enchantment type stuff," she said dismissively. "I inherited it from my mom. Which is why it isn't exactly safe to use being a demon ability and all. Ginni blushed. "Uhhh....yeah....I wouldn't do that if I were you. I may only be a half-succubus, but I have a lot of the same abilities as the real deal. And not the best control of them. That's why I have to not use my abilities. Like I said, side effects."

Jaiye |

Ehos had already unloaded all of the food he's gotten for the lycans onto the table so that the tray was empty, which only made it weirding that he was holding it like he was.

She laughed. "I'm pretty sure that would get us both in trouble," she joked, leaning over the table to give Ehos a quick kiss.
"Alright, go get your solvent...I bet the gooey guy in the lab coat over there has some. The ones who walk around in lab coats almost always do."

"Spheres of invulnerability can be gotten around with a dispel, which is pretty standard fare for soldiers, and since it is immobile, you can't maneuver which is a major disadvantage, and flying is no help against arrows or other ranged attacks, and a fair number of soldiers can fly, some even include that in their spell matrix so they don't have to cast a spell for it. Of course, flying away is just like that duel on the pictures, it is basically a retreat, you cannot cast from out side the soldier's range, and the soldiers get all the cover and concealment. Thus advantage is... Maybe you should see the healer, cause your shadow is back. We can always continue this fun later."
Vickory is enjoying the "conversation" and remains quite unaware of the cause of Adon's little problem, so she is unsure about Adon's issue, of course reaplings must learn self control early on, so it doesn't even cross her mind that it could possibly be anything that merely needs control (she thinks Carl is quite unusual, and pitiable, for his lack of control)

All I know is I was kidnapped by a group to be experimented on, kinda. I was brought here, I guess, as a way to start over. Well, then my dreams started to get really bad...bits and pieces of the past would come back...I guess I had a kind of emotional breakdown. I was in and out of the infirmary, and in some SIM rooms talking to people when those got up and running...some days I think I'm ok...and others I'm only hanging on by a thread...I've just learned to keep going, keep living, but...it's alot, you know? How do I move forward when I don't know who I am? My own face isn't familiar to me some days..."

Vickory West |

"Whatever. I'm not the best to talk war tactics to."
he doesn't even seem to care this time, and goes back to eating.
"You just haven't lived through enough of it. And you still have not done anything about your problem. What is with those little shadows?"
