It's passed on. This goblin is no more. It has ceased to be. It's expired and gone to meet its maker. This is a late goblin. It's a stiff. Bereft of life, it rests in peace. If you hadn't nailed it to the perch, it would be pushing up daisies. It's rung down the curtain and joined the choir invisible. This is an ex-goblin! :-P :-D

Halflight Path

Raknir brings down an overhead chop on the goblin, however, his strike is thrown aside by the goblin's shield.

Lybram moves in to flank and swings his heavy mace wide, bludgeoning the goblin in the side, nearly knocking him off his feet. The goblin reels from the massive blow, but regains his senses and readies his blade.

The goblin's eyes go wide as Leon finds an opening and swiftly decapitates the creature. The head rolls to a stop against the arena's wall.
It is an ex-goblin.
These goblin slayers have 5x their counterpart's hit points!

So, unlike a normal scenario, you'll be fighting off waves of goblins until the House (all tables) completes a certain amount of encounters. The map of the arena by no means matches the description/layout of the Irorium. The map is just for fighting the battles. After each encounter, all of the pathfinders are racing for the exits and fighting their way through goblin hordes and black dragons. You'll have a bit of time and regroup before continuing to the next encounter.

You have 1d4 ⇒ 3 rounds to regroup, heal up, and prepare for the next encounter.

Let me know what you are doing for the next 3 rounds, taking into account movement, spellcasting, etc...

Suddenly, a huge black dragon descends, bearing a horde of goblins on its back. It precariously perches on the southeastern column, and frenzied goblins swiftly descend to the ground. Some employ rappels while others who are not as wise take daring leaps. Those grievously wounded meet swift ends from nearby Pathfinders, all in the desperate rush to the exits. The dragon sprays acidic breath at a seasoned group of Pathfinders and flies off to engage in battle.

Six remaining goblins, undeterred by the chaos, fix their gaze upon your group, swiftly drawing their bows in unison. With lethal intent, they prepare to unleash a volley of arrows in your direction.

**House GM Announcement**

The attacks die down, and all serious threats are driven out of the Irorium and onto the streets. The eerie pillar of light still shoots skyward from somewhere on the Grand Lodge’s grounds, and the citizens of the city stand in dumb awe of the spectacle. A group of Pathfinders, badly injured from the fighting, call to you as they limp along. "Hurry, get to the Lodge! It’s under attack!"

Getting there is easier said than done. Plotting a course toward the Grand Lodge proves simple enough, given the immense pillar of light streaking up into the night sky. The streets, however, are choked with panicked and fleeing citizens. Your race through the Foreign Quarter to the Grand Lodge brings you to a large market. Collapsed buildings, broken tents, and piles of debris torn from other nearby structures form a crude but effective-looking barricade across the center of the market square, blocking your progress.

Bummer. I thought we were going to have another week, at least, to do a couple more combats in the arena.

Just before the goblins are about to fire their bows and the other three attempt to stand up in the grease, the corpse of a huge dragon falls from the sky and crushes the six underneath. Your group makes a mad dash for the exit.

New map of market square is up on Slide 2. Place your icons in the yellow box to the east/right. Gray boxes are barricades, which are only 2-3 feet high and provide cover for the goblins behind them.

Leon's thoughts swirl in a chaotic maelstrom as he slashes Lybram with his scythe, a frenzied action that suddenly snaps him back to reality.
Luckily it was lesser confusion.

With swift precision, Raknir hurls two bolts of force, unerringly striking the female cultist. She grimaces, then instinctively ducks for cover.

Lybram, his side grievously wounded, applies pressure to stem the flow before his innards spill out. A fervent prayer to Erastil is swiftly answered, providing the much-needed divine healing. He scrambles over the debris, though his little bear, tempted by the alluring scents of the abandoned Meat on a Stick cart nearby, seems momentarily distracted.

Mounted on her trusty riding dog, Corba weaves her inspiring tale, captivating her eager teammates. She deftly fires her crossbow at the goblin in the top hat behind the barricade, eliciting a yelp of pain.

@Raknir: If you wouldn't mind filling out the rest of your PC header with the basics (Race, class, alignment, AC, saves, etc...) it'd be greatly appreciated.

@Everyone:
Specials tend to run fast in PbP due to cooperation (and sometimes competition!) with other tables. There will most likely be 2 posts/day from me. Please try to keep up.

I really don't like botting other players, especially during combat since I usually have no idea what they want to do at the moment, so, I will put them on delay. Others may bot you as they wish. Hopefully you have botting instructions in your PC profile. I will retcon if it comes down to it. In fact, there will be retcons since I'm not the World's Most Perfect GM.

Just try to keep up is all I'm asking.

Ok. And to simplify things, Li'l Fella will go on your PC's initiative.

Li'le Fella is new to me. I have never run an animal companion before. Lybram does not have handle animal at all, but he gets it with his companion supposedly, with no bonus(+0). I looked at the book and could not find if companions come with any training or built in tricks, they do have one bonus trick on the table. Right now, Li'le Fella only has "heel", as his bonus trick. He will be along for the ride for the most part, unless you all have any more information I can look at to figure these companion things out.

I do have a bird with a ranger I have, but I only use it to fetch my arrows.

An animal with an Intelligence score of 1 can learn a maximum of three tricks, while an animal with an Intelligence score of 2 can learn a maximum of six tricks.
-Handle Animal Skill

In addition to the bonus trick(s), the companion should know an extra three tricks per point of intelligence. When the companion first starts off, it should know these (your bear should have six).

I’d suggest attack twice, defend and down. I’d set my default trick as defending Lybram or Heel. You need attack taken twice or Lil’Fella won’t attack certain unnatural enemies. That leaves at least two other tricks he can know.

It still takes a Handle Animal check to get them to do the known trick, but the DC is only 10 and it should be a free action. AND you get a +4 on this check with Lil’Fella, even with no ranks in HA. But I don’t think HA is a class skill for you unless you have a trait or something, so it may be hard to get that modifier up easily.

If Lil’Fella dies though, it is a pain in the butt (in society play) to teach a replacement animal those six tricks.

That all sounds good. I think the suggestions above are great. I will update Li'le Fella to have six more tricks. Plus, I will roll to see if he follows the command from now on. Thanks for the help. Looks like I need a 6 or better to get him to do his stuff with the +4 bonus.

I thank you whole heartedly for running this. I am just sad we were kind of rushed through it. But all in all, this was a blast. Hope to see you all around on the boards. Thanks, everyone.

Keep watch for my other games I will be GMing in the future. I'm considering running some of the 2 or 3 part arcs. I'm also looking into running some of the faction specific scenarios that my PCs need before they level out of tier.

Feel free to PM me suggestions if your looking to play something. ;)

I am definitely interested! :-D
Will you be running also scenarios in the Standard Campaign or 'just' in the CORE Campaign?
