Heya Dreamer, hope all is well! I know your life gets crazy busy periodically, I'm not worried about the combat, just hope things aren't too terrible for ya.

I apologize, having to move and toss a lot of stuff from the house.

Youngest kids friend brought in bedbugs, and never let us know.
Will be spending the next few days after work cleaning and moving stuff for the exterminator.

just a reminder that folks need to be mindful of throwing Syl's name around. paralyzed doesn't mean Rickety can't hear things. at this point, any violent, stabby reaction from Syl over it would be very justified.

Challenge rating too low. Bedbugs are resistant to everything.

They are not resistant to flamethrowers, but then that has the issue of a wooden framed house. :(

Hey guys. I have some bad news.

I'm stepping away from doing PBP stuff on Paizo. Personal reasons. I don't want to leave my games in a lurch, two of them have been rescues I picked up from other DMs who quit, because I know it sucks for a game to end prematurely. I feel awful ruining things for you guys. So I am hoping, perhaps, some of you might be willing to pick one or more of my games up. If anyone is, I can hook you up with all the pdfs, any notes I've made, plans I was brewing, whatever.

I'm with Atia. I am going to step aside as well. No DM will come close to what Fern does. Plus, Joran without Atia - "You know I'll always love ya, darlin'!" ;) - is just not the same.

Not only that, work is keeping me busier due to RL reasons and I'm getting home later and that's not going to be ending any time soon. Probably not this year and so having fewer games to post in are probably best for me at this time in my life. I just never thought it would be Fern's games.

Fern, it's been a blast. Thank you for everything. You are a superb DM and I'm sorry you have to step aside. Absolutely, positively, fantastic games(I'm in Fern's Age of Ashes game as well). Thank you again. :)

You've done a wonderful job as the DM as far as I'm concerned. It sucks that it will end this way, but you do your own thing. It will be hard finding someone on your level. I'm willing to continue if we find someone capable.

Yes, I thought (briefly) about offering to pick up one of her games for her, and then remembered how far short of her style I would fall. The set-up she helped create between Mateo and Syl would never have occurred to me, for instance.

You have a talent for this. Thing is, that talent can serve you in the classroom just as well, and work for the real-life advantage of a larger group.

I'll miss seeing your spark on the board, but I am confident you will be doing things that matter more.

This one is the rough one of the games ending. I absolutely adore Mateo but I have no idea if any DM that I've seen on this site could replicate the relationship he has built with Syl or have my trust enough to let me indulge and play the personality he is without falling into the temptation to just f&@& him over entirely.

I don't think Mateo exists outside of Fern's storytelling the way he is now, so I am going to step away from this game. It has been a pleasure playing with you all. <3
