I guess. Did I miss something saying that we have time (no longer on a timetable to rescue Donovaan) and a place to do it?


No you did not miss that -- no discussion on having the extra time we need nor any discussion on where we are going to do these repairs/upgrades.

The closet I heard was somewhere on the planet that we left behind, but no discussion how we would get by the ship guarding it that we decided was not something we could beat while currently damaged and unupgraded.

So yeah, those two questions are, as far as I know, still solidly on the table as a pair of large pink elephants ;-)

My understanding is that location in hyperspace travel does mean much, the roll is what determines how long a location takes to arrive at.


Well on my galatic map we are at about M-26 which is fairly close to where we had come from which if I remember correctly was Polis Massa or at least very near there.

Which is in the Outer Rim along the Hydian Way very near the end of that space route. I mean if that helps any.

I’m here, I’m just a brand new character that walked into…this, and is useless for repairing a starship or navigating. Nothing to do besides wait. I’m still not clear enough on what happened earlier in the campaign to try and offer alternative solutions. This whole thing seems like a dead end to me.

Terminus - Busy spaceport with travelers from both Hydian Way and Corellian trade routes including pilots from Wild Space and the Unkonwn Regions.

Rutan - No significant information about any spaceport is included on the Wookiepedia entry. Part of the Galactic Empire but not as heavily involved in the day to day affairs of the Empire as Mustafar is. (Senali Moon orbiting it is pretty large as well).

Mustafar - Empire Controlled.

@Prox, given our finances, the best bet for getting you the starfighter that you clearly want so badly is probably to steal one from one of our enemies, if we can get lucky.

Otherwise, we could get you something like a used Z-95 in a level or two.


Wow thanks but we still need some way to attach it to the main ship I would think or it really is not going to work all that well as it would be rather difficult when we make hyperspace jumps and so on.

Or maybe we can get our hands on an old Eta-2 Actis-Class Light Interceptor as it has pretty good fire power while perhaps being one of smallest starfighters as it is only Huge. So perhaps it could fit in a bay or attached to the exterior as it would be I think 2 sizes smaller than your ship.

Even used the Eta-2 Actis is pretty pricey! We could get a used Z-95 and install a Class 8 hyperdrive (really slow) or do an outside mod and throw in a Class 3 hyperdrive (somewhat better) at a lower price. If you wanna wait for the Eta-2 Actis though, we could do that in a few levels down the road, if we don't manage to find something in the meantime.

Also, if we can only get a fighter that doesn't have hyperdrive, we can get you a hyperdrive ring, and you can detach from it when we go into combat. It's slightly more trouble, and it means you can't land without leaving the ring behind, but at least you could have full hyper capability on a fighter craft, and it's not THAT expensive to replace if it gets lost/destroyed/left behind.

Of note, the sale price for systems that you remove (instead of upgrading) is ¼ value. So if I had bought a medium laser cannon whole cloth and used that to replace the light laser cannon and sold the old cannon, it would've cost 20kcr for the medium laser cannon, and I would've only gotten back 1,875cr for selling the light laser cannon to a junk dealer or reseller.


Okay I think you are missing my point, I do not really need a starfighter with a hyperdrive, except for in an emergency situation, where we have to bug out fast and do not have time to dock or come aboard.

That being said what if we get a "Vulture" Droid Starfighter and convert it into a humanoid piloted starfighter its Huge and I cannot think the conversion would be too expensive. Aka just grab a cockpit unit from some other disabled ship and plug it in and make it play. Be an interesting twist.

I will list the other Huge Starfighters, in my next post, just in case any of those become a viable ship (aka the GM lets us find a derelict in space or on a planet) in our journeys.

Or maybe we can hodge-podge a ship together from other ships, kind of like Artee is a mix of several R2 type droids.

It's been a while since I looked at the construction rules, but I'm pretty sure that refitting a fighter designed to be run by a droid brain to house an entire cockpit would require a pretty major redesign.


Perhaps and perhaps not, I mean you get a Tie-Fighter Cockpit which is pretty dang small and put in place of the Droid Cockpit and you are pretty much done. They even have examples of this kind of retrofit.

That being said here are all the ships that are of Huge Size that could be viable starting points for us to either fix-up or retro-fit heck some of those with prices are better than some of those without prices which just means you cannot buy them legally but you can either find them or get them via a junkyard -- I mean really some of them are not even worth putting on the black market compared to other starfighters you can simply buy.
