I'm very sorry to have to do this, but effective immediately, I am pulling out of all my games. I don't want to, but to put it simply, I have been out of action for awhile anyway, primarily because I caught Covid from a guy at work and it very nearly landed me in the hospital.

I'm technically on the mend, but I have no energy, have body aches, and have trouble concentrating. As it is, even as I'm starting to recover, I also have walking pneumonia, and while I'm taking antibiotics for that as well, I am utterly exhausted all the time.

I know eventually I'll recover and will probably want to come back to this site, but for now, I'm not reliable for pretty much anything on any given day considering my physical state goes up and down so much. I know you guys are cool enough to understand, but I still feel guilty, so let me once again apologize, and say it was a blast roleplaying with you.

in all of the Star Wars games I have played in, never once has an Ithorian or a Rodian been in the group.

She was actually a pretty poweful jedi. She survived the Clone Wars and then the Empire and lived into the time of Darth Krayt and the Second Jedi Purge. IIRC she sacrified herself to save the remnants of the Jedi Order.

What a day. 10 days ago in my Latin I class, as part of the mythology unit I do (you know teaching Classics) students are tasked with creating their own pantheons, mythological stories, epic heroes and epic story.
Today, I get an email from an angry parent accussing me of spreading idolatry, which is the reason the Latin culture isn't flourishing today, and that their student would not be completing this assignment because of idolatry.
When I ask what might be appropriate, making sure that the Standards are covered, the response was an assignment on Latin American dance.

What's funny is the kid could have done a really cool monotheistic allegory. Something like 'The lion the witch and the wardrobe.' But apparently mom and dad are so overly legalistic that they really don't know what the God of the bible is all about. I'm surprised they let the child take Latin. You know, 'cause the bible was written in Greek and Hebrew.

I can see why, but I don't think that it is worth the headache, or the grief that they would cause in the long run.

I would have asked the student if they were there, if they wanted to attend the class.

A quick question, Lem has a Translator Units The Droid is equipped with a device that allows it to understand and convey information in a variety of languages, including nonverbal ones. When the Droid experiences a form of communication for the first time, it makes an Intelligence check to determine whether it can identify and understand the language. The DC is based on the Translator Unit's database, with the better units having a lower DC.

If I under right, he needs to hear the language to know if he can translate or not. Is there some method aboard ship to listen to them speak or does ne need to open the door and try to talk with them?

Gosh, I didn't mean to stop the game, is there some kind of way that Lemm may have hard them talking? Or will he need to open the door to see if he can recognize the language?
