Dropping in to do a weekly status check. Did we lose our GM?
Not sure, don't have time to check if he posted elsewhere and just has not posted here.
Prox Simmoss
Well my offer still stands to pick things up and sub-in for our GM until they can return if they chime in and give it an okay -- or -- spin this off into a recap game starting at the point where we left off in case we have completely lost the GM -- or -- picking up this game but I would rather not take a game from a GM without their blessing
Dreamchaser Plainstalker
I for one, don't have an issue with you subbing in.
But I agree, that you should send a PM to the GM to see if he is going to continue this, or not.
That should give the final word as to whether you can poach the game or not.

In full agreement with this post.

Sounds good to me.

Let me get you all an update. I was offered a new job last week for the upcoming school year. I am still at the school I am at until the first week of June when the academic year ends. more and more crap as we lose more faculty and ancillary staff and student behaviors continue to spiral out of control due to no discipline. I come home, play with the cats and give one his medicine, eat, try to add to the PbP games I am playing in and go to bed. Also found out that my tabby has State 2 kidney disease and am trying to make sure he is okay.
If you guys want to continue please do, I just cannot run a game until at least the date that I mentioned above. I do not have the bandwith,.
On the good news though, that new job is a great career advancement and opportunity. I interviewed on Friday afternoon and was offered it the following Wed,

Quen Pah, you are suffering from what most would call burnout.
So yes, take what time you need, and I am glad that you advised us of what is going on.
But let me congratulate you on the new job, hopefully it turns out better than the one you are currently in.

Congratulations on the new job!

Phineas is there any difference in being a Human(Clone) rather than just being Human as a species other than the obvious aesthetics?
In some builds there can be, but my build did not utilize any of those options so there are no special bells and whistles for Phineas, he's essentially just a human (who's aging rapidly).
Storyteller Shadow
Okay Phineashow does this aging rapidly play into things as I did not see any of this in you character's profile.
No, it's the "storyline" rapid aging all Clones face, shouldn't impact the game in any meaningful way.
Private Phineas - Piston
But it would affect the character -- yes no ??
Just trying better to understand the character you created and how that might affect the story going forward.
Totally understand the line of questioning :-)
From a storyline motivation perspective, yes. Phineas believes he's on borrowed time, he's here to give the Empire as many black eyes as he can before his time is up.
From a game mechanics, short-term perspective, no. This campaign from a timeline perspective should be over (or he will have died fighting the good fight) before the effects of aging have an impact on his physical or mental faculties.
Storyteller Shadow
First thanks for that information.
So what might happen if someone said they had a solution to his aging problem. How would this affect Phineas?
Again just mostly curious about his motivations and such -- not saying this would occur.
He would want to see it to believe it.
Prox Simmoss
Hmmm... okay so how does one see something that cannot be seen ?
And if he believed it to be real how much would he be willing to do in order to extend his life?
Basically is there a point where they might be tempted and then a point where the cost is too high.
Aka perhaps setting things up for a heroic decision of sacrifice to be made.
Storyteller Shadow
Proof of another clone de aging perhaps.
He might be tempted but if it interfered with his sense of vengeance or score settling with the Imps.
Waylon Stanmore
Waylon should be up to date.
Prox Simmoss
Okay then as a heads up since everyone has checked in I will try to be up to full speed by at least this next weekend if not sooner. I just have to digest all the players and the module so that I can make sure I am delivering a quality rendition of things.
Question are there anythings you various players would like to see that might not have occurred thus far or anything your characters would specifically be interested in going forward.

OK.
No, I am happy to follow along with the module as is (been trying to finish this thing as a PC for like 10 years). If you want to of-road, I will follow along but Phineas has a pretty simple motivation, bloody the Empires nose!
Storyteller Shadow
Well I will have to say, that admirably the other GM was not following the module verbatim but without him telling me where they might have been going with things I will have to just try my best to follow their lead.
I presume part of that is because so many people have played through this and he wanted to keep us guessing! Also, he's been running and playing a long time so he's no GM slouch!
Prox Simmoss
Well that part is not going to be hard to follow per se, however, unless he lets me know what his plans were I will be flying blind and thus charting perhaps a different course for things. However, hopefully he will chime in here or better yet send me a Direct Message on this so we can collaborate.
Still this has been the best medium so far for me to reach out to him as he rarely answers my DMs.
Waylon Stanmore
Waylon is mainly interested in opposing the Empire and surviving. Finishing his training would be a perk, but he is not sure how much there is for a Jedi Councilor to do at the moment.
Ardan Kwinn
Ardan is growing from a dissolute wastrel to a leader and committed revolutionary, with losses along the way due to his own personal failings.
Prox Simmoss
Hey do any of you players know anything about Jedi Master Iediorum Rex.
All I have so far is that he appears to be human, was Jace Concorkill's Master at one time, and is a Jedi healer.
That is about all if have been able to scrounge up on him thus far.
Oh and still on course to moving things forward this weekend.
Waylon Stanmore
I think he was just brought in to help with training of the Dream, Waylon and the Kid. If there was more intended, we did not hit it yet.
Prox Simmoss
Hey is there somewhere that the current Banshee is outlined -- I remember the previous pilot saying that it has a Sensor Array but I do not see that in the basic description of the Banshee
Also the Banshee has seemed to have changed from a Lancer Class Pursuit Craft to a Baudo Class Star Yacht. Now it seems to be to be more appropriate to be a Baudo Class Star Yacht but just trying to ascertain where that change took place.
From what I have been able to piece together thus far the ship does not necessarily belong to Ardan as I initially thought -- is that true?
Prox Simmoss
Also I need everyone to adjust their characters to Level 6 -- also those force sensitives that have been instructed by Master Iediorum Rex may opt to take a level (if they can) in Force Stealth -- not sure if that is the official name for it yet but it will basically eventually allow a Force user to mask their Force powers with the epitomy being what the Sith Lord did in the presences of the Jedi Council for many years and fooling both Mace Windu and Yoda in face to face exchanges. (Yes, I am still working on the homebrew of this -- which was introduced by the previous GM -- and if any of you have any suggestions I am more than happy to hear them.)
Per the Module: The characters might change significantly during this down time between the "Queen of Air and Darknes" (which you completely skipped) and the "Echoes of the Jedi" which you are currently in. Therefore a character might receive a major overhaul to help them fit in better with the campaign and the rest of the group. Therefore feel free to rebuild your character somewhat if you feel there are elements you ought to have that you did not take initially, however please outline any and all changes fully so that I know and can approve the changes you are making.
It further states a player might have found new options to try or might have learned that certain Talents or Feats were not used much. If the GM chooses (and I do so choose) to let the players rebuild their character, the character keeps the ability scores the same but otherwise can rebuild the character from the ground up, choosing new Classes, Talents, and Feats. The player should not change too drastically and must remain reconizable, and the new abilities for the character should reflect a logicial evolution. For example, rebuilding a Jedi as a scoundrel and not taking Force Sensitivity is probably too big of a leap, but a noble being rebuilt with soldier leves could reflect the hero taking a larger role in the Alderaanian Resistance. The GM should work with the players to ensure that such changes make sense for the characters and provide new depth and story options for the heroes.
Also the only Jedi Master is Iediorum Rex as Jace Concorkill would not have even been a Jedi Knight as that requires one to be a minimum of 7th -Level and he was only 5th-Level thus still basically a Padawan.
Oh and just so everyone is aware Jace Concorkill is with the group. The only ones back on the ship are Prox Simmoss, Artee, and Master Iediorum Rex.
Private Phineas - Piston
OK, he's a pretty recent build so I'll keep him as is, going Scoundrel 2. That gives me a Scoundrel Bonus Feat (Skill Focus - Use Computer +5) and the standard 6th level feat (Fast Surge - Effect: On your turn, you can catch a Second Wind as a Free Action instead of a Swift Action. ).
Base Attack Bonus +1.
Damage Bonus +1.
Defense Bonus +1.
All skills +1.
HP = 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 - Take Average = 9
Force Points Refreshed 8
Storyteller Shadow
Note you can opt for average if you do not roll above average for Hit Points and average for a 1d6 is 4
That seems the better idea!
Ardan Kwinn
Ardan level 6: Noble 6
+1 BAB, all saves & skills
+5 hit points
Bonus noble feat: Skill Training (Knowledge: Tactics)
Level 6 feat: Force Training (Move Object, Negate Energy, Vital Transfer)
Waylon Stanmore
I updated the skills so I could make the rolls. I will do the rest tomorrow morning.
