"If I was having second thoughts about breaking and entering, I don't anymore. This has gotta be the lair of something or someone evil. Too bad we can't use it for real shelter, eh."

Bradan comes to the door, bow in hand and scanning the swamp behind them for any additional threats.

Male Dwarf Druid 5 (Wolf Shaman) HP 56/56, AC19/T12/F17, Saves F+8/R+3/W+6, Perc +10, Init +6

Beorn sighs. Very well, let us try to get through this as quickly as possible

No the vegetation is different from the tangleweeds that are outside.

Evil GM

What are you going to do in this first room? How are you proceeding? Feel free to chime in.

Aggrahs a bit embarrassed...this place screams BAD witch. She just doesn't want to reinforce prejudicial stereotypes by saying so out loud.

Aggrah begins to scan for magic and alerts the group if she finds anything.

She very wary of the bubbling pool perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

Someone check that door (in the north wall) while I scan the room for magic

Evil GM

If anyone has appraise they can make a check on the paintings.

Aggrah's Detect Magic:
The mirror has faint divination and transmutation magic, a broken aura. There is remnant magic auras through out the room. Nothing specific, or recent, just lingering from another time. You get the feeling that this room was once a "main" experimental room used by witch. Perhaps where the spellcaster brewed or practiced her craft.

You are uncertain about the pond it is odd, it looks like swamp water and it does not look deep.

Evil GM

There is good quality wooden door on the North wall. It has an unusual looking handle and key hole mechanism.

Male Goblin unchained rogue (knife master, scout) 5 Init 5 AC20/T17/F14, Perc +7, Stelth +21 Saves F+3/R+9/W+0, HP 47/47

Evil GM

Dr Tes:
You know the artwork is valuable but it will needs some real professional restoration or magic to restore it. You are not familiar with the art itself.

Poke you are confident that there is nothing sinful in this room. The door itself looks simple to open for goblin of your skills and talents.

Male Goblin unchained rogue (knife master, scout) 5 Init 5 AC20/T17/F14, Perc +7, Stelth +21 Saves F+3/R+9/W+0, HP 47/47

Poke Poke trys to quitely open the door.
stealth: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (1) + 18 = 19

If locked and not a tiggered trap

Poke Poke pulls out a couple small picks and sets to the task of unlocking the door.

1/2O Bard2HP18/18,Init+2,Per+4,F3R6W4(6Fear),AC16T12FF14

Beorn keeps ready with his blade.

Evil GM

The door is locked but the deft-handed goblin is able to jiggle his tools until it releases. Feeling confident he tests the handle...

What are you doing?

Male Dwarf Druid 5 (Wolf Shaman) HP 56/56, AC19/T12/F17, Saves F+8/R+3/W+6, Perc +10, Init +6

Perc: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Evil GM

Bradan:
You not completely certain but you thought you saw some movement in the foul water that you crossed.

Dr Tes:
You look at the door and the lock that the goblin picked and you are confident that the door is not trapped, or if it was the goblin safely bypassed it. You also hear sobs coming from inside the room.

Beorn and Calain:
the pool of water inside the room seems to be coming up from under the ground and house foundation. It's only 10 inches deep.

Favored Enemy (human) +4 (animals) +2; Second Wind 2/2 HP 43/43, AC 18 / T 14 / FF 14 // Fort +6 / Ref +8 / Will +2 Initiative +4, Perception +9 Longbow +9 (1d8+3), Glaive-guisarme +7 (1d10+3)

"Dunno, but we might not be alone out here. Keep your guards up, folks."

Bradan moves to the doorway providing rear security with his bow.

M Elf Rogue (Discretion Specialist) 3

"Crying! Time to investigate!" He opens the door.

1/2O Bard2HP18/18,Init+2,Per+4,F3R6W4(6Fear),AC16T12FF14

The water seems to be only a foot deep.

as the entry team pops the door Aggrah keeps her eye on the pond, guarding (not sure how effectively) the rear
perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

Evil GM

Inside the house:

Desperate sobs emanate from an iron cage confining a ragged Mrs. Turner, while an emaciated middle-aged man in another iron cage remains silent. The flames from two hearths in the near corners illuminate and heat the room. An iron cauldron filled with a simmering black, viscous goo roils over each fire. A cracked stone statue of a beautiful female warrior stands next to one of the hearths, and light reflects off the tarnished surface of a mirror, cracked and missing many shards, attached to the near wall. A group of vials rest atop a large, flat-topped table, while more than a dozen tattered books sit upon a crude shelf built into it. Four wooden posts driven into the earthen floor against the far wall support a rudimentary bed stitched together from flayed skin and leather.

Meanwhile back in the swamp Bradan, Ulfrec, and Aggrah:
As you wait your turn to enter the house you observe two reptilian humanoids emerge from the water. They have green scales, a short and toothy snouts, and a thick alligator-like tail. They do not appear to be phased by the tumbleweed swarms.

Male Human Invulnerable Rager HP: 50/50 AC18/12/16, F6/R3/W2, Perception: +6, Survival +6, Init:+2; CMD:18; CMB+6

Calain stops himself from rushing in blindly, but cannot help but try to consol Mrs Turner and find out more about the threats within.

His weapon in hand he takes on hand off the haft to gesture to the woman, Mrs Turner, be still, we're here. Where are your captors so we can free you of this place?

Calain will give the sneaks space to scan for traps on the cages, he steps into the room and scans the corners for any lurkers in the room.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

Favored Enemy (human) +4 (animals) +2; Second Wind 2/2 HP 43/43, AC 18 / T 14 / FF 14 // Fort +6 / Ref +8 / Will +2 Initiative +4, Perception +9 Longbow +9 (1d8+3), Glaive-guisarme +7 (1d10+3)

Bradan looks at the newcomers and holds his bow loosely at the ready.

"Uh...hi?"

Not yet seeing a threat and remembering the repeated chastising from the little goblin, the fighter DELAYS waiting for a threat to present itself

No one has told Calain about the lizardfolk

damn.... I posted about the lizard folk yesterday... Guess that one got eaten by the internet gremlins

Aggrah speaks loud enough for everyone to hear (including Calain) yelling if needed
Lizardfolk coming out of the swamp... Probably not friends

and whoever Grizzelda is in the Init order....that's definitely a witchy name... Bad witch style house... Witchy name... Hate to give in to stereotypes but yup definitely lots of children's bones somewhere around here

Init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22

Calain moves out the door to stand in -b7 maintaining a gap to use his Reach weapon against the two Lizard men in A7 and A6.

They look like adjacent squares but the spacing might be off, hopefully not as this is the first chance I have had to CLEAVE

He enters his RAGE and chops down beautifully and powerfully, cutting a wide arc and attempting to hit them both with a Single powerful blow.

Die you BEASTS!
RAGE Cleave, 2hand Power Attack,Reckless Rage on Lizard in A7: 1d20 + 9 - 1 - 1 ⇒ (16) + 9 - 1 - 1 = 23
2 HAND Reckless Rage PA Damge: 1d12 + 7 + 3 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 7 + 3 + 3 = 25

RAGE Cleave, 2hand Power Attack,Reckless Rage on Lizard in A6: 1d20 + 9 - 1 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 9 - 1 - 1 = 18
2 HAND Reckless Rage PA Damge: 1d12 + 7 + 3 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 7 + 3 + 3 = 24

Because Calian is using Rage AND Cleave his AC is 15 this round. His Raging HP are 29/29. Hopefully these are Standard PFSRD lizardfolk cause that would mean Calain hits both their AC's, one shotting the Pair of them and looks super awesome right now!!!!! But somehow I don't think I am that lucky....
