Shouldn’t Kael’s LOH be 2d6+4?
The ever wise and generous Darkvision compensates for mutant-ninja-undead spiders by having granted Kael a phylactery of positive channeling.

Unfortunately for Kael, phylactery of channeling works for channeling only, not LOH. You would need Bracers of Merciful Knight (+4 Pally levels for LOH) or the feat Greater Mercy (+1d6) or both to boost LOH.

Hello Taeserle, my name is Kael Cullen, servant of Iomedae and Captain of the Gates at Riverwatch. It is a pleasure to finally meet you.

What else can you tell us of the situation nearby and this necromancer; he doesn't happen to go by the name of Gorloth does he?

“Well met Kael, O wish it were under more pleasant circumstances. I don’t know his name but I believe there is some connection with the Spire, there town has taken on a eerie green glow.”

Dialogue post compression questions:

@Taeserle-What is the situation here? Are there other survivors or refugees? Is the winery and or its buildings clear of undead?

Are there any still living within Inevitable? Has the necromancer indicated what he plans to do? Are there any surviving Hellknights or active resistance to the necromancer?

What do you plan to do next?

The situation is dire. There must be refugees, the smart ones will have already fled the area. There are no undead residing here but they wander about the area. I believe there very well could be townsfolk within Inevitable. The necromancer has not kept me well informed concerning his future plans. Some of the hell knights must have escaped but whether they have fled or have stayed to resist I don’t know. I only came back to see if I could find my father but I have pretty much given up hope, so I will likely leave soon.

More bulk dialogue:

I am sorry for your losses Taeserle. Can you tell me what your father looks like or anyone else dear to you? I will do my best to look for them while we work to overthrow this necromancer.

In the meantime, if you are leaving I ask you this boon: Wherever your final destination, please go to Riverwatch first and inform my people of the danger here. They do not have the strength to muster and aid what we will try to do here, but your warning may save many lives and help prevent that bastion of good from falling into darkness.

If you agree, I will give you my signet ring and a note of introduction.
Is there anything else we can do for you? Otherwise it will be good to rest here before we push on to Inevitable and see what can be done.
