In his haste to get his bow working again, Pnin didn't properly secure the bowstring so he will have to do it again. Unused to the weight and balance of his new hammer, Sanrael let's it slip from his hands. Kael chops down another zombie. Curral finishes off the zombie he wounded.

Well done everyone! That's one fewer group of nasties that someone else might have to deal with. Plus, I won't be quite as worried going back across the bridge now.
Let's have a look about the bottom of the chasm and see if anything of value abides there.

Yes, Pnin wants to go look at the room to make sure it is clear:

What kind of a streak is this? I hope these will be balanced out in the other campaign . . . Knock on wood
Kael Cullen |
Kael looks around and the charnel crevasse and thinks-What and evil miserable place. How many poor souls died here alone and without hope? Inheritor, bring your light to this dark valley and guide those that have fallen here to your grace.
Assuming Curral finds no hidden magic or other treasure Kael asks Pnin to lead the party back to the surface. If the ghost-thing is still active, just quickly move through the area until it falls behind. If the spirit is no longer tied specifically to the area stand and fight until it's destroyed or driven off. Then go to Drax at the Goldenfire tower and tell him all about the dungeon and its inhabitants.

Speed things along, lol, you should have passed on the zombies!
"There is no word concerning your friend, in fact there has been no word from Fort Inevitable. Apparently, no one who has headed that way in the last week or so has returned, many are overdue."
The zombie clear was Kael being role-played as a paladin that didn't want to leave an evil behind that he could dispatch. Boring and tedious I know, but one must be true to one's self.
Kael frowns at Drax's news-I'll tidings indeed. If you have nothing else for us good gnome, I bid you Inheritor's blessings and good day.
As the party leaves the area of the tower-I think we should supply and set out on the road towards Inevitable to discern what fate is befalling travelers going there. None of us have love for Hellknights or their ilk, but the roads should be kept safe as well as possible and the citizens of Inevitable are not all evil and thus deserving of our attention. Plus, any evil that stalks the roads and Inevitable will eventually threaten all, including those of Riverwatch and other bastions of good and order.

Basic goods are available in the market but at 120% of book prices. If you want something of a magical variety it is going to be a case by case basis to see if it is available and the price will be based on interactions with the seller.

You are in a lawless town with supply chain problems.

My apologies noble dwarf, I know your time is precious. If it's not too much trouble, I'm looking to buy a pair of boots of the cat, a cloak of resistance +1, and a traveler’s any-tool.
diplomacy: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33
DM Darkvision |
The dwarf perks up at Kael's courtesy.
"Boots of the cat ya say? You gonna be running around on roofs or something, keep yer feet on the ground is what I say. Cloak and traveler's tool are simple enough, have'm right here, let me check my wagon for the boots, one moment."
The dwarf climbs into the adjacent wagon and starts rooting through boxes and bags and after several moments pulls out a pair of dusty boots, blowing them off with a couple of deep breaths.
"Here they are, can't say as why I have'm they've been taking up space for years. You can have the lot for 2000 gold."
Kael Cullen |
With a kind and greatful smile Kael hands over the gold and gems to complete the transaction-Inhertior's blessings upon you son of stone. The boots might seem like an odd request, but when you are carrying an ironworks on your back like I do, a fall from any height is a dangerous proposition. Landing on my feet while not turning into a puddle of blood and gore seems like a good alternative.
Kael nods again in thanks towards the dwarf.
