Adventures around Fort Inevitable
The party makes it under the portcullis without incident.
There were some rocks back down the passage but no wood.
AC-22; HP 70 INIT +1; PERCEPTION +13
Rest or move on Pnin? Your call, but this seems like a pretty secure area with the portcullis behind and only one door ahead.
Are you leaving portcullis up or returning to down position?
AC 21; HP 84 INIT +2; PERCEPTION +16
i would feel better with portcullis up
AC-22; HP 70 INIT +1; PERCEPTION +13
Better to have it down. Less likely to alert anyone that comes and checks that they have uninvited guests. As well, maybe it will help keep out beetles or other tunnel menaces.

DM: What time of day is it? I think that would affect the rest decision.
Party: Is it better to move about during the day or night? I'm not sure which we'd prefer when dealing with the undead.

Either way, I 'd still like to rest soon, that door trap took a lot out of me. I think you have the right of this being a safe place Kael.
You believe it is around 3:00pm.
Sounds like you are lowering portcullis and closing the other door to the room?

Dazed by the sudden attack, Pnin fires his arrows wildly into the wall. Kael rushing to his side doesn't do any better stumbling a bit before his second attack and tweaking his back (-2 to your attacks next round). Sanrael slashes into his centipede twice opening sizable wounds in its armored flesh. Curral's attack is turned aside by the creature's natural armor.
The two centipedes continue their attacks, striking viciously at Pnin and Sanrael!
