FYI, I was in an accident this PM, a school bus clipped my car when I was trying to turn into a parking lot.

Thanks!
The car is driveeable. I am a little banged up but I would be better if the driver hadnt taken off.

The good thing is that I found out yesterday that the district has a copy of the dashboard tape. The schmuck didnt report it though.

GM, I am a little concerned that my knowledge rolls and queries are not being addressed or resolved.

GM, I am a little concerned that my knowledge rolls and queries are not being addressed or resolved.
Thank you for saying so. With a PbP it is hard to tell if someone has a confused look on their face. Please accept my apologies.
At the table you would have gotten eye contact from me with a 'just a minute' gesture. I meant to give that to you in a post, but forgot it both times. I needed to know what the situation was with the undiscovered trap, then with Abram's 'distance' from the rest of the party, as well as a second (third) trap between the party and the bones. I addressed this in gameplay, but not in as much detail.
Eventually: Many of the bones are animals typical for an underground setting: badgers, bears, trolls. Many more are creatures from the darklands: a cave giant, spiders the size of cats. Still others are humanoid or creatures unrecognizable. Some are recent, with tiny bits of flesh or dried skin still stuck to parts. Most are long dead, decaying past the point where only a single broken jawbone or cracked rib remain. The strangest thing about them is their pattern. It is not natural for so many creatures to drop in a single place when the rest of the floor is clear. In fact it almost looks as if all the bones have been swept to the cliff's edge. but we are not there yet.

Yes, samsaran racial ability, how cool is that? :)
A high Kn check has given you a rare opportunity. One that a group of wizards, who tend to avoid the front line (apologies to the magus :) should excel at. One that will be lost if everyone delays. ;)
Seriously though, PbP has a high degree of delay built into it. I understand not wanting to waste resources, but keep in mind that it can be as much as 23 hours per person. Using an if/then action will help.
Please note I have two rounds of elementals and waiting for them means losing up to 2 rounds.

This past Saturday my right right started giving me some issues. I thought it would be getting better but today I went to the Urgent Care and the Doctor has made an emergency appointment for this afternoon at NM Eye Associates. The Urgent Care doctor thinks that my retina may be detached but wants the specialists to take a look at it.
I will keep you apprised of the situation.

Eyes were tired yesterday and numb on Wed:
Good and bad news. Good news, no retinal detachment. Bad news build up of blood that will necessitate surgery on Nov 1.

Venture Teller Play b'Post |

Ack!
Is blood in the eye? Or around it? (Is that too nosy? :)
Good luck with that!

It sounds like behind it, I guess diabetes can make the capillaries begin to grow and bleed.

I could move things along more often if you'd like, but I was deferring to ya'll as my job is just meat shield. This scenario is about ya'll.

Venture Teller Play b'Post |

Abram, you are still a part of the team. The focus is on trading spells after the scenario, not just on the wizardly wizards arcane adventure. If you (or anyone) move the party along and someone else (or you) wanted to make a Spellcraft or Knowledge check, or write their name in the wall with flaming sphere, in a place the party just left, we can retcon that in.
Spikey ooze-pits of scything death aside of course. :)

![]() |

That's fair GM but, as you know, I am who often plays spallcasters, and I am often put into the shadows by melee monsters (like Abram). This is often because they can "swing their sword" without running out of resource, whereas spell casters, until level 7-9ish, must be careful of their resource expenditure. I just want to make sure that the other players feel contented with their character's actions/contributions. I want yawl to feel cool as it were.

Is the blood-eye issue related to the accident earlier?
No. I am diabetic.

I think that seeing all of this magic going off would be neat

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
Surgury went well. Dr. is happy. Can't see too well out of the right eye yet but Dr. said that is to be expected as the eye heals.

![]() |

I have been in bed most of today and yesterday trying to sleep to help the eye heal.

![]() |

I dont think so, I just anted to know when I should start looking at the other people's spellbooks,

Almost Agalych, almost.
Congratulations Ylania.
I have your numbers, names factions and such from the top of the discussion page, but you can add dayjob checks if you have them.
I like to have a dayjob with Wizards as it basically pays for a scroll which can then be added to your spellbook. If you have any purchases please list them and of course the spell trading.
There is also a fair amount of story missed due to the high DC on knowledge checks. The magic in each room was tied to something only the highest DC checks about the city itself revealed. I will add that to a spoiler, later on. In my story-telling it is something you could research about the place after finding all the clues you did. I am not sure it is a good idea, especially on a repeatable scenario, hence the spoiler. So you can ignore it if you want to.
:)

Ylania listed hers earlier in this thread.
And Sigias linked his near the beginning of the scenario thread.
That being said, With a take 10, Carina has a 25 to learn new spells, would make the check on all rolls(included opposition schools). Likewise, because I took Curaigh's advice and bought a Blessed Book, scribing spells is free. As such, Carina adds the following spells to her book(Listed by level and who she learned them from):
1 Gaius - Feather Fall, Liberating Command, Monkey Fish, Secluded Grimoire, Summon Monster 1, Unseen Servant
Albert - Cause Fear, Charm Person, Crafter's Fortune, Ear-Piercing Scream, Protection from Evil, Touch of the Sea
Agalych - Chill Touch, Hydraulic Push, Mirror Strike, Ray of Enfeeblement
Sigias - Adhesive Spittle, Air Bubble, Hypnotism, Mount, Reduce Person, Touch of Gracelessness
Ylania - Flare Burst, Gravity Bow, Mage Armor, Moment of Greatness, Unprepared Combatant
2 Gaius - Investigative Mind, Pilfering Hand, Summon Monster 2
Albert - Blindness/Deafness, False Life, Ghoul Touch, Gust of Wind
Agalych - Frigid Touch, Pyrotechnics
Sigias - Air Step, Alter Self, Brow Gasher, Cat's Grace, Create Pit, Cushioning Bands, Flaming Sphere, Fox's Cunning, Hypnotic Pattern, Rope Trick, Spectral Hand, Spontaneous Immolation, Stone Discus, Summon Swarm, Touch of Idiocy, Warding Weapon
Ylania - Fiery Shuriken
3 Gaius - Aqueous Orb, Summon Monster 3
Albert - Fly, Good Hope, Halt Undead, Heroism, Lightning Bolt, Magic Circle Against Evil
Ylania - Cloak of Winds
4
Albert - Bestow Curse, Dimension Door, Fear
Finally, for my day job check, (Craft(Calligraphy)): 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (9) + 15 = 24
