STR Check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
"Boy, this thing is heavier than I was expecting . . . "

Sorek |

it's gonna be real embarrassing if we need our mage to make a STR check

Beneath is a ladder leading downward, set in the wall of a circular shaft which leads to a small hallway.

Aggrammar Deepdelver |

"Ale of course. I guess that is rather like watery porridge. "
"C'mon lad, be respectful - ale is nothing like porridge. Ye daft?" - Aggrammar smiles, then turns to the ladder - "Mojo is first" - and throws a wink at the goblin.

Sorek |

While Aggy and Lars debate the finer details of Ale and porridge (which sounds like an absolutely horrible combination) Sorek stares down the ladder Detect Evil
if no immediate danger is detected Sorek descends with Mojo the keen-eyed trapspotter.
same marching order as usual with Mojo and Sorek up front

brvheart |

Just about the time Sorek and Mojo have descended the ladder, the door to the mausoleum slams shut and the floor starts to rise!
Sorek, you detect a general background evil to the place, but nothing specific in the area. You come down to a rough hewn end of a passageway.
I will get the new map up shortly

Sorek |

"hey.. there's a door down here." and when the noise begins.."What's going on up there?"
The scout team then proceeds down the corridor checking for traps on the door while waiting for word from everyone else "Mojo let's check this door quick...we may need an escape route"
perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22
perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (20) + 14 = 34

Lomyldyr Dweo-Mercraeft |

Lom descends down after Sorek. He casts a light spell on the tip of his wand. "Sounds like we got out of there just in time."

Mojo Sniffagem |

The goblin works quickly to open the door. Checking traps as second nature.
Perception (+2 secret doors/+4 traps): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31
Disable Device: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (8) + 18 = 26
He is a blur with the hooking awl twisting in the mechanism.

brvheart |

You find no traps and the door is not locked. Opening the door you find a passageway straight ahead with a side passage to the left.

brvheart |

Mojo can see 60' to somewhat of a T. There is also another side passage almost immediately to the right.

Aggrammar Deepdelver |

Aggrammar stays back to see what happens up top.
brvheart the floor goes all the way up, or does it stop somewhere? If it goes all the way up, doesn't it crush everything into rubble?
Also, he waits for the scouts to report back to the rest of the group before proceeding.

Mojo Sniffagem |

The goblin silently signals back making a serious T with his hands and then also mimicking a closer passage on the right. Then he slips forwards to take a peek round each corner.
The goblin carries on through through to the T junction stealthily so he can get a good look around in semi-darkness.

brvheart |

What one of you finally probably saw while hurriedly scurrying down the ladder is that there is an impression in the ceiling just the size of the sarcophagus!

brvheart |

The worked passage opens into a small room. On the far end, near an archway leading to a passage beyond, rests a coffin without a lid.

Lomyldyr Dweo-Mercraeft |

Lomyldyr will move up and will study the room from the safety of the hall. He will also detect magic on the room.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

brvheart |

Lom does not detect magic in the room and sees nothing within the room beyond the open coffin.

Sorek |

What one of you finally probably saw while hurriedly scurrying down the ladder is that there is an impression in the ceiling just the size of the sarcophagus!
I wonder how much the maids get paid for cleaning up the trash compactor room after a party gets squished.

brvheart |

Food for the rats. Did I neglect to mention the graves with your names on them outside?
The coffin is empty.

Myrick of Muir |

"Huh? Is this the actual entrance? Somehow I pictured something . . . I don't know . . . More traditional. With like a gate or something."

brvheart |

The passage to the room beyond has collapsed. It will take a lot of digging to go past it.

Lomyldyr Dweo-Mercraeft |

Lom will look down the two other passages exiting the room to see if they go anywhere. If they don't, he will turn to Mojo and the others. "We need to backtrack. Let's explore those other two passages."

brvheart |

Those directions lead to rat holes.
Down to the first right
The room is strewn with bits of bones and loose dirt. A cool breeze blows by, and whispering can be heard off in the darkness. This room has
several small piles of bones looted from the graveyard above. The air is drafty and rather fresh.

Myrick of Muir |

"I suppose so Lars, but the information I was given was that this place used to be a place created by those dedicated to the light and was later corrupted and over come by evil. . . Then again, maybe that was just to complex we had to clear first. To be honest I was younger and the world seemed more black and white when I swore that I would quest to this place."
"I am glad I found a place among you. We will need all of our skills, strengths and powers here."
"Ha! Ha! This time we brought ranged weapons too."
Myrick nods to Lomyldr.
"Yes, let's not leave opponents behind us if it can be helped."
The paladin sniffs the air.
"Locating a way out would be advantageous."

brvheart |

Well, speaking of loot: Hidden in the pile of bones are 22 cp, ignored by previous adventuring parties.

brvheart |

Hey now you did not expect to get rich on level on did ya? There is a door leading out.

Mojo Sniffagem |

The goblin is shocked by the sacrilegious Crusader, and scoops up the treasure like its gold.
Then he tests the door for danger, before opening it.
Perception(normal/secret doors+4/traps+6): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
Disable Device (if needed): 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (15) + 18 = 33

brvheart |

The goblin starts to scream as he scoops up the coins, "It burns!"
Take CON: 1d6 ⇒ 4 Mojo
Then he notices some green goo on the bones.
