Sorek |
Sorek never got any round 4 actions. My last combat post was an addendum to round 3 adding the additional haste attack. I was waiting for Mojo to post his round 3 action. But now I see that Lom has posted. And the Worgs as well... Sorek acts ahead of the Worgs. So I will post Soreks round 4 actions and hopefully kill off at least one Worg..
ROUND 4
Sorek finds himself once again in his back and stands up move action provoking AOO
and then attacks the worgs with a

The attacks in my round 4 post above should take effect before the worgs round 4 actions

Sorry Sorek, just consider that its AOO then. You killed that one.
brvheart |
Aggy will take a 5' step towards Myrick and cast Cure moderate wounds.
healing: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (8, 7) + 5 = 20
Mojo Sniffagem |
Let you choose DM, but Mojo is looking to work round onto a flank, eventually.
The goblin hurries over to stab at a worg. his blade isn't large enough to trouble the beast and perhaps no more than a pinprick, until Mojo finds a nice juicy artery or tendon.
short sword: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17, damage: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

short sword: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26, damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
The following round
The roguish goblin dodges in and around the worg until he can find a nice flank and then stabs again. AC21+4(mobility)+1(haste)=26
short sword: 1d20 + 11 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 11 + 2 + 1 = 24, damage: 1d4 + 1 + 3d6 ⇒ (3) + 1 + (5, 6, 1) = 16
Not sure if I mentioned before my kids arrive this week for the holiday. My eye will be off the boards for about ten days until Jan 4th-ish.
brvheart |
Mojo, there is one next to you that is almost dead after your attack and has the flaming sphere on it so I put your attack there. One more hit and it is gone. The only other ones are on Myrick and the one in the pit. Then I moved you. 2 AOO's
bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24 damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9 damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
brvheart |
I edited that Mojo and since you had not taken your last turn, the first attack will be that one. You killed the one on Myrick!
Yes, with the holidays things will be even slower than normal.
Myrick of Muir |
Okay, so I can stand up with out causing an AoO? I think they are all dead near me right?
"Oh, blessed be! Thank you deliverance!"
Sorek |
looking at Roll20 it appears that there is only one Worg left. And that one is trapped in the pit. IF that is the case...
Sorek with the rest of the Worgs dead, Sorek calmly moves over to the edge of the pit and shoots a bolt of ki at the trapped worg
standard action:
Psychokinetic Discharge: Psychokinetic Discharge "A deadly fist of 1st level learns how to take the energy he has charged into his unarmed strikes and release it as a blast of energy at an opponent. As a ranged attack, the deadly fist can make an unarmed attack at an opponent. The attack deals damage as normal for the deadly fist's unarmed attacks.
The range increment of the attack is 10', but is considered to be a projectile instead of a thrown weapon, so the attack has a maximum range of 10 increments instead of 5. Whether or not the attack hits, the deadly fist's unarmed attacks are no longer empowered and he must take the normal time to empower them.
ki bolt: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30
damage: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (6, 2) + 7 = 15
crit confirmation: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
damage: 1d6 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
and when the Ki Bolt hits the Worg Sorek will take a brief moment (swift action) to revel in the healing power of his celestial patrons
Discipline: Silver Crane (Boost) [good]; Level: 3
Prerequisite(s): One Silver Crane Maneuver
Initiation Action: 1 swift action
Range: Personal or 30-ft
Target: You or ally
Duration: Instant
DESCRIPTION
By invoking the powers of his celestial patrons upon successfully smiting an enemy of the heavens, the holy power of the Silver Crane disciple's patron flows through him to restore the health of the vessel or the ally of the vessel. Upon a successful attack, the character may initiate this boost to heal himself or an ally within 30-ft of 2d6 points of damage plus his initiation modifier.
healing: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 2) + 6 = 14
Lomyldyr Dweo-Mercraeft |
Lom takes a 5' step and then directs the flaming sphere to attack the remaining worg. Lom will also hit the worg with a magic missile.
flaming sphere: 3d6 + 2 ⇒ (5, 5, 1) + 2 = 13
magic missile: 3d4 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (3, 3, 4) + 3 + 2 = 15
brvheart |
Well, there was one under the flaming sphere also, but they are both dead now. I will give a little extra XP on this one. Give you credit for 9 instead of 7 due to the increased difficulty. 900 each.
Sorek |
lol yes that was more difficult than expected. that would've been horrible...killed by Worgs before ever stepping foot in RA. Welcome back Aggy
after finishing off the trapped Worg in the pit with grim satisfaction Sorek turns to survey the condition of the group "everyone ok? I swear this place is EVIL. Waking us up to centipede bites one night and Worg bites the next. Unacceptable!
brvheart |
That was actually night four. You did have a couple of restful nights sleep in between.
Lomyldyr Dweo-Mercraeft |
Lomyldyr smiles grimly at the smell of burning worg. "Let us make haste - these woods are not safe. The prince of undead sends his minions to wear us down before we reach Rappan Athuk."
Sorek |
healing would be good. But Sorek is only down 15, I'd rather not use clw charges while traveling through random encounters. If we are about to step into ra then I would vote for resting til everyone has recovered all their spells loh fervor etc. However I'm not sure how badly Myrick or Lars are hurt they may need some healing. I don't think Aggrammar has any channels left.....
. The worgs attacked us during the last watch. To make it easy we could say it happened right at the end of the watch shortly before we were all going to wake up and prepare for the day..
. Btw I believe Aggrammar is 5xp away from his next level... Good to have a high level cleric in the party.

brvheart |
As far as I know Aggy only used one of his three channels for the day and has his regular spells also. Well, most of them. You also have Myrick.
The other party wants to get out of RA to rest cus they think it will be safer, lol. I know RA has the reputation of being a big dungeon crawl but a part of it is the wilderness area around RA which are several adventures themselves. The more they have expanded RA, the more the places around it.
Sorek |
with the hp in everyone status bars not being up to date I can't tell if Sorek is the only one that needs healing. I think Myrick and Mojo are down some hp. Maybe Aggy could do one channel and then we continue on our way...If Aggy does that Lars could delay laying his hands on himself for later when he has had more to drink and some more privacy
if Sorek is the only one in need of healing, one CLW from Aggy or the wand would be appreciated
After we all gather together for a little group healing we continue toward the Grandaddy of Dungeons but ready to accept whatever sidetrek we should come upon in the surrounding area
Mojo Sniffagem |
The goblin rogue slumps at the end of the fight. He is breathing in a slightly panicked fashion and tries to bring his heart back to normal.
"I didna die!"
Then he moves to stand with the others for some healing. Just to be part of the gang. Individuality is frowned upon in goblin tribes.
brvheart |
I updated the total hp of everyone's status bars, the hp was being tracked. I show 3 people being down
Sorek 15
Myrick 26
Mojo 9
Please correct if you show something different. Lars, my house rule would put you at full rolling all 1's for healing entitled to a reroll.

sorry... I didn't think to look on roll20

"I have been given a new power. Behold this blessing of healing."
Paladin channels positive energy. Heals the living, harms the undead.: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 6) = 13

Sorek stares in bewilderment as Myrick turns into an Elf wizard and then flickers back into his original form. :p

You are traveling along on day 6 and Mojo you spot something in the trees up ahead to the right. It is late in the afternoon.

"I have been given a new power. Behold this blessing of healing."
[dice=Paladin channels positive energy. Heals the living, harms the undead.]3d6
"Thanks Myrick. That feels much better." in response to Myricks channel
and smiling down at Mojo "No Mojo...No nasty Worgs gonna eat us. Our meat's too tough and we bite back. They're not used to that"Sorek |
Sorek examines the encampment that the sharp-eyed goblin pointed out...hoping to pick up on any available details to determine if there is danger lurking there.
perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27
perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (15) + 14 = 29
looking for signs of what type of encampment (logging, trapping etc.)
what size are the structures man-sized, goblin-sized?
how big is the encampment? how many people might be living there?
brvheart |
There are about ten tents here as well as a small paddock for horses. They are all man-sized and could accommodate a couple of dozen people.
Sorek |
"what do you think? . Should we be friendly and say Hello.? Or should we stay hidden waiting to see who these people are? Or just bypass the camp altogether? If they are unfriendly we could be outnumbered but if they're unfriendly I'd like to know. Thoughts? "

Sorek |
" if only we knew someone small and sneaky"
-Posted with Wayfinder
Lomyldyr Dweo-Mercraeft |
Lomyldyr scowls, "Why should we risk infiltrating the encampment? We should bypass the camp and head directly to Rappan Athuk. We must remain focused on our mission."
Sorek |
"I understand your logic Lomyldyr...However, don't you think it would be wise for us to identify them as friend or foe so we know whether we need to avoid them now and in the future? Rappan is dangerous and the last thing I'd want is to be shepherding some wounded members of our group back to the Ferry only to encounter unknown foes on our way back. Or it could be that there are friends here and they could provide us with valuable information. I think it worth the risk."
brvheart |
The more you observe the camp, you notice there is no movement from within it.
Sorek |
"That's kind of odd. Normally there should be some signs of life from a camp this large. It could be that something happened here. I can't see this being an elaborate trap for passersby. Let's investigate."
hope this is ok with everyone...
Let's approach the camp and see what we can learn
