Yea. Not that it matters, Lily Cannot Hit with the mace.
Until I get directional bombs, it'll be a good idea to keep positioning in mind, so I can throw without hitting allies... and/or allies saying when they're ok with being hit ^^
Aurica does have resist 5 fire...but she's unlikely to be adjacent to our enemies.

Good to know regardless!
At second level I'll get precise bombs and it'll be a non-factor anyway.

A Healing check will tell you that, but suffice to say, one more hit will probably down it...

There is another apothecary in town, just have to do a little research. That and some investigation for the over arching story. Plus (!) There will be more for you specifically, we just haven't gotten there yet..

3d6 remember Zev, also in the gameplay thread I expect.
Leads to investigate that I remember are the dead guy's associates, the possibility that Ilsoar might know something about that strange robe, and whatever it is that got the redhead watching us. I didn't make Maerra as a face or an expert urban investigator though, anyone else want to try?

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

I'll roll your downtime stuff tonight if you want, otherwise you can roll it. Remember it's also 3d6... let's get on to meeting with Ilsoar..

Aurica has chimed in, but no one else. I'll push ahead tomorrow if necessary.

Sorry, I thought that I had made it clear; Milah was all for doing so. Yes, please, let's move ahead.
EDIT: Ah, and now I see that the post I wrote was apparently eaten. Well, that explains that, I suppose. :-P

Reposting to all my games: I will be out of town sans computer from Thursday to Monday. I will attempt to use Wayfinder to keep up with my games, but where necessary, please bot for me.

So I found something I can do if I get into the Alteration sphere at level 2 that I think is pretty cool. I can give people low light vision, darkvision 60 ft, a 40 ft land speed, scent, and/or a few varieties of natural attacks (least attractive option, I think, because you all like your manufactured weapons just fine). I can only give two of those traits at a time. You would get these traits while retaining your basic form. I can also turn any of you into a land animal/beast (quadruped) which has some of those traits. You would stay the same size (medium). What do you all think? Useful? I feel like scent would be cool for Maerra to use when tracking. And I know she would love that 40 ft speed instead of 20. =)
Closer to level 10 I can be giving people fly speeds, as well.
Also just to be clear, these effects will last 1 minute per caster level when I spend a spell point (I will still be caster level 1 even at 2nd character level, and will start going up after that). So you don't get them all day long or anything. But for something like using scent to track, if we're out of combat I can use an action every round to concentrate as long as needed (for 1 target only).

With a couple more levels I could get talents that improve natural weapons (powerful limbs to increase the damage by a die size, powerful charge for another die size and 1.5 STR on a charge...), and I can get this morphic weapon talent to allow you to graft a manufactured weapon to your arm and treat it as a natural weapon.

I am currently dealing with a death in the family. I will endeavor to get back into regular posting mode within the next week or so, but please feel free to bot Milah if need be in the meantime.

Side note: do you all think we're good as-is, or could we use an additional character since we lost two of our original party?
I've been feeling pretty sorely tempted to get more wizard-like abilities for Aurica (the Alteration stuff I was talking about, or enhancements I can put on the party's weapons, etc.) which would probably need multiclassing to do reasonably well (incanter, most likely), but it's really not the direction I had in mind for Aurica, as I would be losing out on some of her skills.
If we had another character to take on some of that other stuff, it would be nice.
We still have a 4-person party, so it's not like we're too small--but our party is basically 3 martials and a bard. It would be nice to have either a wizard type or cleric type, and Aurica can lean a little more in the other direction without much trouble as we progress.
So I guess I would actually like to recruit an additional player. Or I guess I'd be fine with building a 2nd character and playing both, but I don't know how you all would feel about that.

Milah Ashkenazi |

I'm back, all; thanks for the kind words.
As to the question at-hand, I agree it would be nice to have more of a healing and/or arcane presence in the group, though I leave it to our illustrious GM to confirm whether he would like to deal with the recruitment effort and larger party.
I would personally not have an issue with anyone that wanted to playing a second character, and would volunteer to do it as well if everyone agreed.

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

I'm just excited the boards are finally back! I can certainly see a need for a dedicated healer, though you guys have been doing well so far... that may change depending on circumstances. Even with the bell curves, you've been doing a good job with tactics and stuff. That said, you guys seem to have built a good rapport and with that, I can open the recruitment up again, but either a) have one of you nominate another player or b) simply play 2 characters. I'll leave that up to a table vote.

If I was to create this additional character, I think he would be an incanter with channel positive energy and spending his initial magic talents on the Alteration, Enhancement, Divination, and Telekinesis spheres. He'd be good on several Knowledge skills along with Spellcraft.
A normal cleric would be nice, too, though.

Milah Ashkenazi |

I'm not at all familiar with the spheres of power rules, so I don't know if there are any balance or other issues associated with them. I'm not clear on what spells they use, either, so couldn't personally say whether they would fill a primary healer role well or not, but I would assume that it wouldn't have been proposed if it couldn't.
Also, I have seen enough healers reduced to solely being hit point batteries that I wouldn't trust myself playing one as a second character; I would find it entirely too easy to fall into that rut. If someone else can do it successfully, though, more power to 'em.
