Tiny Handy Haversack!

So I'm having a rough patch. Just had one of my personal cats unexpectedly pass away due to neurological issues. He was not yet a year old. It was a swift onset, from Thursday afternoon to Saturday afternoon when I put him to sleep. He was one of my favorites, and it has left me in an odd head space where I just need a couple of days. Please bot me if needed.

Sorry for my slight absence, was in a bit of a fender bender sunday, and the concusion I acquired then has made things like looking at a computer screen difficult at best, Should have a post up tonight. Again sorry if I was a delay.

Just went trough Blood of Shadows: can I have everything that's in the book? *Excited puppy eyes*
There's even an alternate racial trait for humans to get Darkvision! I'll finally be able to see what the hell happens after I cast my spells!
Zsestrian Raven
The thing that caught my eye the most was the Dimdweller trait.
I could switch it when Zses gets back his memory or something like that.
There's mostly a ton of cool spells, like ShadowForm.
There's a super cool pic of Ezren using the spell, too. *.*

That's disgusting. /racism

Work is way past not fun at the moment, new mandates along with changes to the pay structure have increased my stress levels to two packs a day plus.
I'll have a good update tomorrow or Saturday.
Nothing like only having three options at work.
1. Success
2. Quit
3. Get fired
As you all are also in my other game , I'll not repeat it there.
Percy Silvershaper
Sorry to hear that. :(
Hobbes 'Rat Trap' Bitterleaf
Yea that sucks.. :(
Well I hope for option 1.

To lighten things up, I see some parallels here...

Every thing else.
I am trying to update soon, but wanted to pop in and let you know I'm still here!

Ready when your are, Cap'n.
Hobbes 'Rat Trap' Bitterleaf
Yep!
Zsestrian Raven
Ready, too!

This group is one of the few that inspires me to participate in random RP. I'm extremely lucky to have two such groups.
Thasks for being awesome everyone!

Looks like the Zses Door Ban is still in effect. :(

I wasn't that involved in the Playtest so I'm curious as to how the Vigilante traumatized you so :3
Plus, there's a LOT more in the book than just the class.
Your Benevolent Dictator
The playtest version made the Core Rogue look OP'd. I exaggerate slightly, perhaps, but it was quite traumatic. ;-)
I haven't heard much about the rest of the book, but I know there's a spell that forces people to commit random crimes as determined by a die roll. I'll likely end up allowing a good portion of the book eventually, but I feel the need to go through it with a fine-toothed comb first.
Lyosha Neverhome
The spell your thinking of is Confusion :3
And yeah, they at least severely overhauled the Vigilante.
Zsestrian Raven
From what I've heard, the Vigilante has still some of the problems that he had during the playtest, like the change from one identity to the other taking a lot of time. I still can't understand what niche the class is supposed to fill, either. :/
In any case, I doubt that we will use a lot of things from UI here: we aren't intriguing much (if I'm not mistaken, isn't one of the next books mostly a Dungeon Crawl or something?)
PS: Apparently, Fencing Grace got nerfed: it was obviously too OP. <.<
EDIT: Ninja'ed. From what I've heard, the Magical Girl archetype isn't all that strong either: the biggest thing it does is give you a familiar with extra goodies and a "quick" (5 rounds) identity change. It also lets you cast like a Summoner, but I don't know if it's like the USummoner or the Original summoner (Guessing the former).
I mean, I'll still probably play one and cheese it from hell and back to make it viable, but it sounds like it'll take some work.
Lyosha Neverhome
There's the Feyspeaker archetype for Druids (gains 6+INT skill points and CHA based spontaneous casting.)
Lyosha Neverhome
Ooo, it also has poison lip paint in it...
Zsestrian Raven
...I may actually need that for another character, actually.
Is that a specific new poison or something that can be applied to existing ones?

The Vigilante still has the 1minute to switch between personas, but they've freed up the talents so that most can be used in any form, you'd really only need to be in Social Persona for specific situations.
The Talents are actually nice too.
Close the Gap (Ex): Each round, at the start of his turn, the vigilante can designate one foe within 20 feet that isn’t adjacent to him. When he moves, he doesn’t provoke attacks of opportunity from that foe as long as he ends his move adjacent to that foe. If he charges that foe, he does not take the –2 penalty to his AC on any attacks made by the designated foe.
Shield of Blades (Ex): The vigilante’s wild attacks allow him to block his foes’ counterattacks. He gains Power Attack as a bonus feat. If he already has the Power Attack feat, he can immediately swap it for another feat for which he qualified at the level he chose Power Attack. When he takes an attack or full attack action, if he uses Power Attack on every attack to make melee attacks that use his Strength bonus on attack rolls, he gains a shield bonus to his AC until his next turn equal to his penalty on attack rolls from Power Attack. This bonus applies only if he actually takes that penalty on at least one of the attack rolls.
Vital Punishment (Ex): The vigilante gains Vital Strike as a bonus feat, though he does not have to meet the prerequisites for this feat. Once per round, before he makes an attack of opportunity, he can declare it to be a vital punishment. If the attack hits, the vigilante can apply the Vital Strike feat. The vigilante can apply the Improved Vital Strike or Greater Vital Strike feat as his vital punishment instead if he later gains those feats. A vigilante must be at least 6th level to select this talent.
Also, Avenger is badass.
Unkillable (Ex): The vigilante gains Diehard as a bonus feat, though he does not have to meet the prerequisites for this feat. At 6th level, he doesn’t lose hit points when he takes a standard action while disabled. At 12th level, when he would die from hit point damage, he remains alive for 1 round before dying (and if his hit points rise above a negative amount equal to his Constitution score before that round is over, he doesn’t die). At 18th level, he is no longer disabled at negative hit points and can take a full round’s worth of actions. Only an avenger vigilante can select this talent.
Mad Rush (Ex): Whenever the vigilante charges, he can make a full attack. Whenever he uses this ability, he takes a –4 penalty to his AC until the start of his next turn (in addition to the AC penalty for charging). Only an avenger vigilante of at least 12th level can select this talent.
Nothing Can Stop Me (Ex): Once per round, while the vigilante is moving, he can make one attack as a free action against an unattended object in the way of his path, such as a door or table. If his attack deals enough damage to destroy the object, he can continue to move. If he doesn’t destroy the object, his move ends. This attack is made as part of his move action and doesn’t count against his attacks this round. If his attack inadvertently targets a creature (such as a mimic), it automatically misses and his move ends (although he can still attack the creature as normal at the end of his movement). Only an avenger vigilante can select this talent.

You use it in conjunction with others.

Awww yusss poisoned acts of passion.
And I concede that some of those looks cool: a talent to pick up a better Power Attack looks great, and bad Pounce is still Pounce.
Neat that now the class is less "I need to change to be combat effective" to "I need to change to be social effective", also.

And just think what you can do with some reflavoring, Mmm edible body paint...
The more I read of it it's pretty much just "I need to change to be more socially effective", the combat stuff is always on. Which is awesome.

Already have credit for this book so I can't.

@YBD: Got it! Have fun!
Will post exploration of the hut later today.

Enjoy the ship, the booze and the cruize!
The boss and I talked about taking one, but have decided that buying property in the middle of Maine is a better investment.
Yes, we are just cray cray enough to homestead and build a compound.
