The cloak and some pearls of power will be the next few investments for old Ered, if we can ever find more magical items again. The cloak makes it definitely tougher to hit him, and the more things between Ered and losing a spell, the better. I know that & Blade Tutor's Spirit (the spell) will really assist him.

Way to swing the edge in battle Zses.

Blinded

The creature cannot see. It takes a –2 penalty to Armor Class, loses its Dexterity bonus to AC (if any), and takes a –4 penalty on most Strength- and Dexterity-based skill checks and on opposed Perception skill checks. All checks and activities that rely on vision (such as reading and Perception checks based on sight) automatically fail. All opponents are considered to have total concealment (50% miss chance) against the blinded character. Blind creatures must make a DC 10 Acrobatics skill check to move faster than half speed. Creatures that fail this check fall prone. Characters who remain blinded for a long time grow accustomed to these drawbacks and can overcome some of them.

Their overall AC is taking a nosedive and a 50% chance of missing.


The Superstition bonus didn't help either of them. Unfortunately for me. :-( Still got a boatload of HP left, though. ;-)

@Ered: You're using two standard actions next round: one to activate the wand, the other to attack. You don't have the arcana that lets you Spell Combat with a wand.

Stardust expired naturally. For the rest, she's a prepared caster who's been observing the party off-and-on ever since the soulbound doll fight in Book One. She also has the Familiar Spell feat and was able to do a little prebuffing before the party arrived. You still eliminated her from the fight for a significant amount of time, though. ;-)
