I'm going to go ahead and bot Merrill in about 8 hours if we don't hear from him to try to wrap this up before time gets called.

Reaver's Roar

Kalakngkang peers into the future. First, he sees himself missing wide to the right. He adjusts his aim and once again bends time to see his fate. This time, wide to the left. Exhausted, bloodied, and surrounded by the bodies of his companions, Kalakang adjusts his aim once again and calls upon his last remaining arcane reserves. Completely spent, he looses an arrow. It flies straight and true, striking the assassin in the middle of the back. The Assassin crumples to the ground, skidding a few feet farther from her momentum. She weakly raises her arm and points at the party. She one last time curses the party, specks of blood flying from her mouth as she speaks.

For ten thousand years we have slept, awaiting this day. Think not that you shall take it from us. You and I are merely pawns in a far greater game with a far greater purpose. In the name of the mouthless mistress to whom all fates are known, I damn you and all your descendents! Lissala, take my spirit to pay for my vengeance!

After speaking, she inhales deeply, followed by several ragged coughs, and she slumps to the ground, unconscious. As she passes out, dark purple arcane energy begins crackling all around you. It appears that portals are beginning to form, summoning what, you have no idea.

Congrats! You've defeated the Assassin! You have one minute before things start coming through the portals. You are more than able to recover the Runecarved Key, and bring your companions back to consciousness / drag their unconscious bodies to safety before any baddies show up. If you want to stay and fight, I'll need 10 rounds of actions from all of you, or you can decide to just try to get to safety and avoid these encounters.

When we bring our companions back to consciousness is theirs HP at full or...? And what is with ours HP?

If we all have HP at full then I suggest that we play further and if our HP is not at full then it might be better to get to safety.

I have wand of CLW but I can't use it. If one of us can use it then we may be able to return our HP at full.

I can use Wand of Shield on all of us.

Reaver's Roar

When I say 'get them back to consciousness' I mean Merrill and Taizen working frantically to cast as many CLWs as possible. Depends on rolls how many HP anyone has. To be completely honest, there are only 24 hours left in the interactive, so you guys are unlikely to make it through the first wave before it ends.

"Quickly we must sweep our allies to safety. Whatever storm is waging on the other side of those portals we do not want to see. We grab the key and leave with our lives." Taizen says while getting up and grabbing the key from her corpse. He then directs the others to help carry away their allies.

So we can crazy them off in time d save charges right? Since we wouldn't have enough time to fight the waves anyways.

***OVERSEER POST***

A fanfare of trumpets blasts loudly, breaking through the roar of the combat and ringing of clashing blades. Leading a mounted battalion of armored warriors, Sheila Heidmarch and her husband charge through the streets, driving through the waves of summoned fiends and forcing them to retreat back through their gates to the netherworlds from which they were called. In a matter of minutes, their assault is complete and the streets fall quiet.

Sheila Heidmarch strides over to Prisim”You have the REAL Runecarved Key then holds it aloft signifying a Pathfinder victory!

“Today, every one of you has contributed to a triumphant victory for our Society, and you have cemented our place in Magnimar. “I’m deeply honored that you have granted me your services. While my lodge is small, you have made it feel like a kingdom. Yet our victory today is somewhat bittersweet. It seems dark forces have surfaced in Varisia—forces which, before today, I was unaware of. I’m sorry to have thrown you headlong into the middle of such chaos. I have already sent word to the Decemvirate of today’s events and await their response. When I know more, I shall contact you, for I fear this key has somehow placed all of us in danger. Still, we should go forth, for now is the time to celebrate!”

Thank you all so much for participating!

I would also like to express my gratitude to the fantastic set of GM’s and support crew I had working with me to make this a success, it really was a pleasure running this and that is certainly due to their fantastic efforts. Thanks also to the Online Venture Crew who always show enthusiasm and help pave the way for our events, and to Tonya for the Boons and Gift Certs.

And lastly – thanks to all the players out there (you!) who came in to this with a great attitude and really played in the spirit of it all, even when the Heidmarch family showed some total moral greyness!
