Telethal the Halfblood |

Would you prefer to use Tel's old longspear? I realize they're cheap in general (and this one has ape blood all over it) but if you want it, it's yours.
Guisarme + falchion = 84g, leaving Telethal with 66.
I could easily pick up another potion. Having a second CLW or Enlarge Person would be really handy. Two Enlarge Persons on-hand could mean that Seltyn could prep something else.
Another clutch healing pot could be useful as well.
Thoughts, anyone?

Talon Moonwalker |
If its per person then I have a number of ideas for what to do. Most of all I really want to look into upgrading my armour, or perhaps getting a rapier. Crit with a lot of hits then, plus I was thinking of taking weapon finesse anyway. I agree though that a masterwork composite longbow +1 strength would be amazing.
Still, I read it as meaning 150 for the group, and hence was happy with you using it for the bannerman and the scrolls.
Did we bring the bannerman this time?

Telethal the Halfblood |

Cool. I'll do the same. i'll toss my remaining 66g into the communal, so we can get more healing pots, or possibly some scrolls of Lesser Restoration or Delay Poison. Those could be some serious life-savers.
Seltyn, would you be willing to track the group cash? Or would you like someone else to do that?

Seltyn Sevenleaf |

Yes, Flambeaux is with us this time, with a +1 bonus like you get from a bard. We were being secretive last time, so he was too obvious. As an official delegation, we'd want him along.
I think the 150 was for each of us. That's enough to look the part of a diplomat and her protectors. I've got 25 to pitch in on a partially-charged wand.

Talon Moonwalker |
Right ok, I have updated Talon on my PC then to assume it was 150 each. Basically bought myself a rapier and chainshirt. He generally looks pretty clean as it is, but is never going to be anything like the diplomat that Elorin is, and so won't be going down that route.
Won't update it here till its confirmed one way or the other.
Btw guys, I just noticed something on my character sheet that could have been useful in that combat had I thought of it. I have a load of thunderstones in my pack. Didn't think to use them at all. Sorry.
If you want I have 57 gold left over from both character creation and from this most recent windfall. If you would like I can give it to you to charge that wand up some more.

Kalthos Pennas |

Bwah. Damnitall. Sorry i've been so absent. I'll try harder to be on every day. It just slipped my mind completely. Here now, no real needs as far as equiptment unless you'd like to pick up a masterwork thieves tools kit or some other skill kit (disguise?) Don't much think that either would be the best use of the money though!

Chainmail |

So let us see who we have. Time for a roll call.
Decisions may include and are not limited to"
Return and consult or leave directly.
Keep bow, return bow to queen, or sell bow to queen.
Ferret may still be around, Kalthos can find him again with no problem. Taking others would be a matter of conscience.
Elven intelligence seems to be concentrated on the coast. You would expect them to have limited intelligence on this depot/capital, but are not 100% sure.

Talon Moonwalker |
I vote for keeping the bow and giving it to Talon to use forever and ever :D
Other than that, we have those boats to look into, up in the frozen wastes and there is the issue of the dryad once more. I don't really know what the best option would be. I know that it would be good however to get some more epic treasure for the minute as we are lacking in items and the like. Certainly something that we could really use are potions of healing or a cleric.
I don't really know guys. I will most likely be taking Talon down the arcane archer route right now, and thus more combat and the like would be appreciated, but where the best place would be I don't know.
If we go to the human city then I get favoured enemy bonuses and the like, meaning that combat will be fantastically lethal from my point of view. However if we fail then there might be massive issues for us all, especially as in a capital city there are normally lots of humans, some of whom might have weapons.
To be honest I have forgotten what the other side missions were that we could do, might be an idea to actually get those up and posted again. If we go elsewhere then there is the chance we piss off Derrick, but also a good chance that we find other things that can be of use to us.
Personally I am torn

Chainmail |

Options are basically five.
(1) Inland to the capital. With or without human help.
(2) Up the coast to the seaport and shipyard. Really good ship is underwater, but decent ships may be found above the water. The ship you have is pretty good--significant upgrade may be an underwater adventure.
(3) Short mission down the coast to meet jungle tribes partway to Rovagug lands.
(4) Down the coast to Rovagug lands.
(5) Down the coast past Rovagug lands to see what is beyond. An exploration mission.
Note: After fighting a civil war--beating up other humans from another area doesn't seem so bad. A raid sounds less violent than a full war too.

Telethal the Halfblood |

Sorry to slip off the radar, guys. Life got crazy on me, and I have become a bit stretched thin. I don't know that my posting ability will get much more than it has been lately.
As I don't want to be the reason this game grinds to a halt, I'm gonna go ahead and back out.
Sorry to do it just now, but I'm not sure what else to do.
I apologize to everyone, especially, you Chainmail. I don't like being flakey, but I gotta be honest about my online time.

Talon Moonwalker |
Thanks for advancing story again. Just out of interest, is it reasonable to assume that Talon would most likely have first dibs on the bow? Not trying to be a glory hound or anything else, literally just thinking that from an ooc perspective he can make most use of it mechanically, and in character he uses the bow almost exclusively.

Wilaml Fmelvam |

Thanks for the invite, I look forward to playing with you all! :)
So who is active players and who are Npc's? It's kinda hard to discern at this point. Talon and Sevenleaf I can tell but the rest seem npcish to me... And the character page is no help! Lol
Edit: I also saw that I messed up my stats and missed 1 point. It's fixed now and won't cause a discernable change until level 4. I had to change his armor around as my herolab had loaded up my default piecemeal armor set up. Breastplate + scalemail arms/legs is awesome! :)
+6 breastplate +1 scale ARM +1 scale leg +1 full suit bonus and a buckler gives +10 ac bam!
But my current setup works just as well and is 1 ax lower then the above. Plus its quicker to put on my armor compared to the below.
Let me know if some of this doesn't jive Boss man :)

Chainmail |

Dramatis Persona = active characters
Seltyn = Wizard
Talon = Ranger
Marlamin = Druid
Wilaml = Paladin
Nonactive to semiactive (not on this raid)
Kalthos = Rogue
Elorin = Bard
NPC bannerman - Carries an elven standard. Currently has a bless effect (can stack with an actual bless) on entire group.
He is with the group.

Chainmail |

Wilaml, feel free to read to catch up--as you will be given the full update soon anyway.
Party is light in treasure as they escaped the last encounter with their life. They do own a remarkable bow given by to them by the new human king. The grizzled mercenary captain obviously recognizes the aweseome bow that can't be unstrung and the bow can actually talk. You do not recognize the bow, but can read the description -- it is pretty good.

Wilaml Fmelvam |

@ chainmail: Wilaml plans on entering the city without a disguise, at this point he finds no reason to hide and since he has only just joined the caravan he has little fear that he will be anything more then a curiosity to the supposed spies. I just haven't had the time to insert a post yet, working long hours right now. But he will enter the city and offer healing services to those in need and eventually make his way to the tavern as well. Taking his time though so its less suspicious about all the elvenish people entering the tavern at once.
It's his poor excuse for subterfuge. :) Paladins are not sneaky sneaky types. LOL

Talon Moonwalker |
Lol, Paladins don't need to be sneaky, the evil buggers they hunt are usually trying to stay away. As it is, I was considering taking Talon down the route of a Paladin, so expect some heavy social roleplay as he tries to figure out whether it is his route or not. Healing services in the town? Awesome idea.

Wilaml Fmelvam |

I'm still rolling with the idea of Wil being a Hospitallar, just minus the archetype. ;) It also makes it easy to get along with people. Can't get mad at the guy healing and sowing your wounds shut. :) Free healing is another way to make diplomacy checks as well. ;)

Wilaml Fmelvam |

Hehe yeah I had to get something surgically removed once that was on my skin. Not a pleasant feeling when you are just numb enough to feel something cold sliding back and forth across your skin. It was wearing off as the stitch work began so yeah it was painful towards the end. It's just eerie to be awake when someone is removing part of your skin.... Blargh....
