With the fight concluded, and an inventory being taken, is anyone keeping any items?

Dirk Gently. |

Holoskin
Autotarget Rifle
- (5)Magazines of (10)rounds per
(2) Incindiary grenades I
(2) Mk. 1 serum of healing
Armor Upgrade: Quick-release sheath
(500) UPBs
(12) Credsticks, (100) credits on each
Definitely any and all Healing items.
Otherwise Dirk wants cash money money money for his hot tub time machine endeavor....

Sparks Goforth |

Sparks does not have the proficiencies to use the rifle or the grenades (I suspect none of us do, given we are all solarians). The quick release sheath armor upgrade certainly should go to someone who has armor with an upgrade slot. Sparks' armor has 1 upgrade slot. We should also keep the UPBs for when someone can make use of them.
As Dirk said, healing items should be taken.
We could have each person who wants any non credits item to roll a d20 and let highest roll take first pick.

Totally agree on this and the split mechanics. Not sure there is going to be any competition, and we could allocate a portion of the cash to just buying healing stuff if that seemed helpful to people

Sparks Goforth |

It will be good if we all can purchase a healing serum or two to supplement the two found in the club. Did any of the downed gang members have a small arms weapon?

The Lost Voice |

Presuming a cursory inventory, each downed gang member has:
- Azimuth laser pistol
- Club
- Flight Suit stationwear
- 150c Credstick
Ferani Nadaz had:
- Estex Suit I
- Club
- Tactical Semi-auto pistol w/30 rounds
- Datapad
- Key Card
- 500c Credstick
The Vesk has:
- Troop Ceremonial Plate
- Assault Hammer
- Azimuth artillery Laser w/2 batteries
- 200c Credstick

Can we get a summary of income after all the wheeling and dealing is done? Once I know what amount of credits Sparks has to work with, I'll consider some purchases to begin to fill out his equipment to be better ready for future encounters.
Thanks to the other players for working out the details. I read the discussion on Discord but would appreciate a post here as it will make the information easier to find.

Sparks Goforth |

Repeat of the above request for income summary.
Also, I will be away from home for the weekend, so 'bot me if needed. I have access to hotel WiFi but I've tended to have trouble logging into the Paizo site to try to post with a tablet or phone.

The Lost Voice |

Apologies. Yes. the information on the spreadsheet was correct after the clarification for the 1200c. It is good to distribute.
That value will be arriving eventually.

We started this game over a year ago and we are just now getting through the first section of the AP book. I fear if we don't pick up the pace, we will not even complete the first book before the inevitable player or GM attrition begins to show.
I'm not judging anyone as being unnecessarily slow to post, but if we could do what we can to post every day and if the GM could move things along to the next action point, with less time for side quests and flavorful role play, it might help.
If we were a group that met in person or on line and played for four hours once a week we could afford to take things slow and still make good progress. But PBP is inherently slow. I've played this AP book before and I know there is a lot of fun stuff to come. I find spending a week or two on what we do with our time off to be frustrating when I want to get to the good stuff.
I hope this doesn't offend anyone. I know RL can make it hard to post every day but even then, a quick post to inform others when you cannot post can allow the GM or one of the players to 'bot the one who can't post and things can move more quickly.
I also know from experience that when people are slow to post, I tend to be check for progress less often because there is so often nothing new to act on. If everyone is posting every day, however, I am better at doing the same because I don't want to be the one holding things up.

It's pretty fair commentary Cleb, no worries. I think PbP is great for what it's great for, but I set my calendar for my VTT games. I know you meant in person and 4hrs FtF, but the reality is, even with PbP, if any of us were giving 4 hours a week total, the party would be on Castrovel by now. I share that opinion as a guilty party NOT in any way blameless.
Was a really hard transition back to work, only to have that be 60 days for my position to be eliminated. Kinda sucked (kinda), but I do have time now to recommmitt.
That said, I'm also going to say that I kinda of revile coming to these boards at this point. I get that I might be the only one who likes Discord, but I'm not going to use Paizo's neolithic technology to get notifications about games. I'm just not. Sit here scratching flint and steel to use RSS feeds. LOL no thanks.
But if people want to post here, and then say something in Discord, so that I do actually get a notification, on my phone where my life happens, I would be glad to put it down and come over here and post.
I came here tonight specifically to go look for the reference to the place where the characters were told Starfinders get a discount, to rent Zeph a suite for a week or so, and move things at least a little forward. Give the guy an address so that his new employer can send him stuff. Now I've typed 5 paragraphs that aren't related to that but I'm glad to have typed them. Gonna take my own advice too ... sorry if it's late whereever you all might be.

I agree with Sparks on every point, although he may be a bit more judicial.
This game has been extremely frustrating. I absolutely enjoy playing Dirk, and I definitely enjoy everyone's characters, but I am desiring a bit more progress. Especially after a year of Game Play and we are still only 2nd level. This is certainly a posting rate issue. If everyone only posted twice a week this game would move at a much smoother pace. I agree every day is unrealistic for most folks. (Besides I would be in big trouble if all my games posted daily!).
Every game has its rollercoaster ride of progress. Unfortunately this particular game has been more lateral than progressive.

I hear you.
Daily posts are not sustainable. Definitely not any satisfactory posts for me, at least.
On progression, I am generally responding to forward motion, but I'm not against dawdling and exploring if a character ventures out. I'm exploring Absalom Station with you, since the blurbs are... the seeds of an idea, but seeing the Puddles, and the Temple district was a memorable experience.
So, we can incorporate scene skip messages in the posts, or here in discussion, just a basic {Ready to move Forward}, or even simpler (>>) tag at the end of a post. A majority says progress, the next post wraps the scene and advances.
I do want to give everyone a chance to post, so two or three days is enough to usually allow for that. A month passes with no word, I'll generally count the character out and withdraw them, potentially replacing them at the next section of the AP or story beat, if it makes sense. Extenuating circumstances apply, but non-communication is non-communication.
In combats, a similar "auto action" system could be set if it comes up.
...Have I missed anything?

Has anyone looked at the SF 2E material? I've created a few SFS characters but haven't looked at the solarian closely yet. So far, I like what I see. It has eliminated the dual armor class of Kinetic and energy, which makes things simpler. So far, no starship battle material. Sounds like they intend to reduce starship battles to something much simpler, more like the concept of a chase.

Dorian 'Grey' |

My home group just completed the Starfinder Society 2e play test materials. It is awesome!
My Starfinder GM and I just launched (hehe) a live game offering two Tables for the new SFS2e season just last Saturday. We had both Tables filled and we have sign ups for the next 3 games that we posted on Warhorn.
I've been waiting for 2nd Ed since 1st ed hit...lol. I absolutely enjoy the Fluff of Starfinder, but the mechanics of 1e....
Yuck.

Hey Mem ... if there's no wild objection, I would also like to say that I really love the campaign and all of its detail and nuance. I was about to post something, fell into the rabbit hole of looking for the lodging ChimChim referred us to, and then kinda got lost in the history.
Do you know it took us FIVE PAGES to get to even meeting with the Starfinders? 5 pages. 250 posts. Roughly half of our total actually. I LOVED EVERY MINUTE.
That said, those 250 posts happened by the end of last October, and in the next 10 months, we've only managed about 275 more. That, to be honest, made me a little sad. Zeph accepted his job offer, along with you & I discussing cool stuff he would get, 6 months ago.
Added to all that, I'm not opposed to a conversion now that it's all online either. I may take a stab at Zephyrr 2E later today.

Aside from the impetus of moving the MacGuffin to the next story point, I believe those five pages were all made up on the fly. It was fun to put more color into Absalom Station, dictated by the characters' wanderings. It definitely does a lot see just a sample of the span of things that are encompassed in the station.
Now, we're sorta back on the rails, and not much room to stretch in for a fair amount of time.

I have enjoyed our tour of Absolam Station. There really isn't enough on Wikipedia, so your descriptions were great.

For those with a company contract:
Account for nearly a day getting the standard PR package set up: Influencer account, pre-recorded voice promos, holo-measurements, the basics of your virtual model, and a standard public "intro" set up. Not necessarily grueling, but involved and occasionally tedious. On the upside, you do get your choice of color for the drone cam, and VI personality for your calendar!
Roll a D20 to see if there are any "Early Bird" Fans.

Anyone who knows Zeph knows his passion for Castrovel ... but that doesn't make him an "influencer" yet by any stretch. Yeah, sure, he had the obligitory fake holo-blurs of the elven homelands in his posts & posdcasts, but reach, no, reach he hasn't really tried to create yet.
He will though.

We've had some bad news at home that's making it a bit of a struggle to get in the right frame of mind to post. (Our 12 year old tom cat has cancer; he's not suffering bad effects yet, but we don't want to put him through chemotherapy or surgery, so we're going to give him a steroid that may help slow the progression and make the most of the time we have left with him.)
So if you need to 'bot me, go ahead. Combat and other trait dicebots are under spoilers on the profile page.

Having two 13 years old boy cats myself, I completely understand and hope your time left is as wonderful as the initial 12.
