Kyndril Mieren |
Before Arriving:
Kyndril arches a brow at Essar. "Well, given that it defeated the imps, with me only minorly wounded, I'm quite happy with it. Of course, if you're willing to let your precious Karrnathi secrets get into Thrane hands, I shall be quite delighted to learn them. Maybe I'll open a school, then." He smirks, arching a brow. "Remind me why you're so proud of your country? If you all hand out state secrets like candy, surely you must find that there are very few state secrets left?"
After Arriving:
Kyndril first seeks the local Cathedral of the Silver Flame, where he will report to the highest-ranking priest about the attack in Crossroads and the Dark Flame. After reporting, he'll join a service if there is one, then he'll make his way to the House Sivis messengers' guild, to send the letter he's written to his mother.

Ah Thranian did they ever teach you history? As the style's of Karnathi swordsmenship were created during time of Karn the Conquerer himself. And since for the majority of Galifar's history Karn's have made up one fifth to one third of the army our styles of combat have seen much use outside of Karnath. They are no secret, it's simply that most Thranian's and other the of five nations are unwilling to admit to the superority of Karnathi swordsmen.

The train reaches Sharn, and sparks it's way into the Sharn depot. It's been a week and 3 days after the incident with the imps and their summoner, which stole a Khyber shard. Sharn. City of Towers, City of Opportunities. Also known as the City of Suckers in some circles. It was a huge city, covering the bluffs that overlooked the mouth of the dagger river.
The train came to a stop and everyone left the train, eager to begin a new life. For our heroes however, being sent to Sharn was probably best. However, the group can get easily separated and lost here. The town is at least, as big as New York City.
GM Elton |
You find the nearby Temple of the Blood of Vol and the people who attend it is a small congregation. The Blood of Vol isn't honored in Sharn -- you might gather -- like it is in Rekkenmark or in Korth. Still, the temple here has many more resources and are happy to see a visiting brother.
The abbot says, "Welcome brother, we are humbled by your presence. What brings you to Sharn?"
Ebran Asur |
Ebran looks for signs indicating where people might go to look for work, and his dragonmark is partially visible. He will go to the employment office part and ask about a job, and when he speaks with someone will make note that he worked for the house some years ago and was captured and recently released.

There was a mage that playfully and mischeivously threw fire and sparks. Another had a habit of stripping down to his underwear unconsciously. When someone tells him he's out of his clothes, he would yell and put his clothes back on. There was a rogue who loved drink beer, and held her liquor with such skill that she often drank whole kegs. The fighters were equally colorful.
One would wear nothing but harness straps and a loin cloth and had long blond hair. He was also muscled. If people asked, he say he was a paladin of the Sovereign Host. Although on his chest was a distinctive cross. Another fighter was decked out in shining plate armor, and was business all the time. Finally, there were many colorful kooks. One being a mysterious wizard with seven eyes. Another was a fighter woman who dressed in a very skimpy outfit with flame red hair and a personality to boot.
Yes.
The jobs on the board seem to take place inside and outside Sharn.
GM Elton |
What happened with talking to the House Orien Representative?
Once the train pulls into Sharn and Danir disembarks with his possessions, he hails a Skycoach and requests it to take him to the House Cannith enclave in Dragon Towers.
5 GP should cover the fair right? Its 1 sp per mile according to the Sharn book so that should be more than enough I would think
Upon reaching the enclave, Danir will presnt himself and request an audience with whoever in the house leadership is currently available at the enclave.
The giant tower looked like it had a bull's head on the front. It rose from the ground, with eyes that arced electricity and what seemed like molten slag pouring out from vents around the tower. Smoke also vented from the bull's horns. The tower was made of a black substance: marble or iron, you can't tell until you had a closer look. You land in the open mouth, as if it was someone's idea of a sick joke to put the taxi landing surface in the mouth.
You see a dozen people here. Most dressed in NeoClassical revival fashion. You wonder why, until you see the big painting of Merrix. Merrix wore a toga in that painting, with a bright red sash. The lower part of his face had a beard and mustache around the mouth. He was painted in a regal pose.
The secretary at the front desk seemed to be more sensibly dressed.
Danir |
"Hello, I am Danir, son of Jaasir and Dinara d'Cannith, late of Whitehearth. I have come to present myself to the house leadership. This has been my first opportunity to do so since being released as a Prisoner of War by Breland, after a petition from House Cannith. I have come to thank them and inquire as to my status within the house. If you could please check if they would be willing to see me?"
Xov |
"Indeed. It concerns a rather difficult ally I have been made to work with, a Karn. I have been given strict instructions to obtain a way for the Tower of Eyes to keep watch over him...
here"
Xov pulls out the piece of cloth from Essar's shirt
"This should allow for scrying. Make sure it gets to Lady Gwen in the Tower, soon, please."
After that is dealt with and Xov is alone, he considers his next move:
That should make it easier to find out when the mad cleric betrays us...still, that cloth won't make it back to Fairhold for several days, and even when it does, they likely won't be able to scry on him constantly, so I still need to watch him. Hmm...I could try to get in to the blood temple, it should be easy to lie my way in, but...I'll have a hard time getting to hear anything from Essar. Well, there is still this mysterious business with the people who are spying on Kyndril, claiming to be from the Eyes...
well, I do need to get the half-elf to trust me a bit more, maybe I'll figure this out.
With that matter resolved, Xov will attempt to meet Kyndril at the temple of the flame.

The Abbot says, "I don't see why not." He leads you into his office where he does have the Karrnathi wine -- a bottle of Karnnathi Riesling. He pours some for himself and some for you.
"Well, what do you want to talk about?" he asked.
She then rolls up the piece of cloth, puts it into a carrier pigeon's box, and sets it free to fly to Fairhaven. "Is there anything I can do for you, Mr. Xov?" she says, getting on the couch and laying out, oozing charm from every pore.

This is thinking that Danir is being played as Bi
There are several attractive people of both sexes wandering the tower. you are directed to a dark skinned woman who will say that you will be treated as a hireling for being in a PoW camp for so long. The simple job she has is to have you retrieve a schema in a forgotten dungeon.

Danir |
"So, this mission to retrieve the schema- would I be able to select my own team? I was able to meet a group of fellow war prisoners that would be very useful in a mission such as this one. Where is this dungeon located and what information can I be provided about it?"
Xov |
As he walked away, Xov thought Hmm, maybe I should have tried to get Dev to help weasel information out of the others...
nah, it wouldn't have worked. Essar probably wouldn't reveal anything to a stranger, regardless of any magical disguises...
Kyndril might, if Dev shapeshifted to look like a Silver Flame priest, but he had information worth sending two members of the Eyes after, it would likely have been done before. Besides, the only thing we need from the half-elf is information about his past, and I will have plenty of time to get that myself. Oh well...
Hmm, I guess I could still try following Kyndril now, although...
maybe there will be something worthwhile at the mage's guild. I can probably find stuff there with fewer questions than the Aundarian embassy. Eh, I should probably try finding the others now.
EDIT:also, if possible, Xov attempts to find liquid ice (40 gp) to use as a focus to power Ray of Frost
After that, Xov goes to place we agreed to meet up (house cannith).

"It's held by a Halfling and his guards," he said. "The halfling's name is Robin Nimblefingers. We suspect it isn't his real name, but . . ."
he is a parish priest, the Bishop isn't anywhere in sight.
"First thing's first, brother."
Xov |
Xov calmly approaches the House Cannith enclave where the group had agreed to meet. Upon seeing the shifter, he nodded.
"Hello, Othan...were you successful in acquiring knowledge of a potential adventure for our group?"
the vulkoori looked around, before saying
"Have you seen any of our other companions?"
