You feel as if you are in a dream.

In a place that is no place (you can't seem to concentrate enough to see where you are), a scarred but beautiful woman dressed in plate armor visits you.
She thanks you for your kindness and service, then apologizes for the fact that she cannot help you in the future.
Yet, she can grant you a token of her gratitude, and kisses you on the brow.
Startled, you feel a wet tongue...

You awaken to a badger nuzzling you.

Each of you lose the temporary template.
Each of you gain:
*A permanent +2 devotional bonus to a skill of your choice.
*Five permanent hit points.
*A permanent bonus feat of your choice (you must qualify as normal for the feat’s
prerequisites).
*A permanent +2 increase to an ability score of your choice.
*Character Level 6!
*Mythic Tier One!

As you sit up and look around, you see nothing left of your enemies but their clothing, equipment and a little blackened outline on the floor.

Poking through the clothing, you find:
A scroll of dispel magic (x3), CL7
A +1 scythe
An amulet of natural armor +1
A cloak of resistance +2
keys to locked areas of the Citadel
350 gp in onyx gems for animate dead,
32 gold sovereigns (320gp)

You each also find small fragments of the exploded wardstone shard embedded in the walls. A thin fingernail sized flake of bright smooth stone, you can feel the holy energies still infused in it.
If you feel the need, you as a one time effect can rub it onto a weapon or armor to infuse it with holy energy. (Details in the Campaign Info tab.)

As the last of her foes fell Danua felt the light within her fade, along with all her strength and in that moment of weakness she muttered. "Have I found redemption..." Then came a burning that started at the center of her being, she sagged back. Too exhausted to fight and when the vision came it sparked a long forgotten memory. A woman she had met on the road, one who saved her by chance when she had been stumbling through the wound.

When Danua awoke she was changed, the vision she had seen, the woman whohad thanked her and the past with the woman she met. But never knew her name. So much she didn't know, so much she needed to change. When she stood though she realized she was changed, her skin was no longer pitch black but pale like snow. Her dark scales and raptor like feet were more silvery-white in color now as well. With a start she realized that Mi Sutoresu was still in her hand as she was standing there. As her new found allies started to recover she sheathed her blade and took on a more relaxed posture. "So... This is the part where you chain me right? " Her voice was different as well, less savage and more... refined. She even felt sharper too, a pity the inquisition would more then likely end her this time successfully. Despite her dismal thoughts she spotted something interesting and as she spoke her tail gathered up one of the broken wardstone shard fragments and tucked it into her pouch. Best keep this for later...

Voren feels the power fading. He simply collapses into unconsciousness, Ayne coming out of his robes to try and wake him up. When he comes to, he's in some kind of white void. He stands looking around. When he faces forward again, a beautiful yet scarred woman appears. Before he can ask any questions, the woman explains. When she kisses his forehead, Voren turns red (well, redder than normal). He then feels the wet sensation of a tongue licking him. That's when he begins to become conscious. Seeing Tentak standing there licking his forehead, he stands up quickly in embarrassment. He looks himself over. He doesn't appear different. His eyes now glow with golden light. He does, however, feel much stronger. Like something that was long dormant is now stirring. He looks at Ayne and asks, "Ayne. What is this? This power?" Ayne simply replies, "I am unsure, boy. It may have something to do with that Wardstone. I suggest you do some more research into this." Voren nods and looks around. Seeing some wardstone fragments, the tiefling quickly rushes to them and pulls one out, examining it. "Fascinating." When Danua asks about being chained, Voren looks at her, brow raised. "And why would we do that?" His posture is much more confident and he isn't stuttering or unsure. Whatever the power of the Wardstone was, it seemed to make Voren more confident in himself, like he isn't afraid anymore.

She looks at Voren this new found confidence he had was a thrill for her to see. She held back a quip and answered truthfully to his question. "Though I bear the scale I was once an enemy of Mendev, so long as those outside the Grey do not learn of me. Then my past will once more fall into obscurity and I can walk the road to redeeming myself, this is a choice of yours to make. Though..." She looks to her hands and in that brief instances those watching her see her several actions in the span of a few seconds. Though she appeared unsteady momentarily afterwards...

Foresight Alacrity allows her to use two immediate actions and two swift actions with penalties. Going to go great with Mythic as Magus + Mythic is a Immediate/Swift Action eating monster!

Her blade glowed with new found power and her mind reeled at the sudden speed she had, though the unsteadiness that accompanied was a bit of a shock too. None of her movements were threatening more an attempt at testing her new limits. Afterwards she spoke again, though a bit unsteadily. "... I'd rather continue to accompany you all further and test this new strength as well." She smiles then, truly smiles for the first time in a long time.

Voren shrugs. "I think that we shouldn't hide your past. Since you have aided us and bear a scale, the silver dragon had chosen you to help in this fight. If we hide your past and it gets revealed, it could do more damage in the long run. However, if you want to keep it a secret, then I won't argue it. Just remember that whoever you were doesn't matter. All that matters is the here and now." When Dauna asks to join them, Voren smiles back. "Of course. You don't have to ask. You've been a good friend. The five of us are in this together." He then rests a hand on his head and groans. His eyes cycle through different colors; green, black, white, and more. Eventually, the eyes settle back to a warm golden glow. He closes his eyes and breathes for a moment. He then opens his eyes and looks at his friends. "Sorry. A slight headache. It feels that my mind has expanded a bit. I also feel like my hexes have gotten more powerful. Whether it's from the Wardstone or thr dream I had when I went unconscious." Ayne skitters on his shoulder. "My guess is on the former, boy." He turns to his familiar. "You're probably right, Ayne. The Wardstone was filled with powerful magic from Iomedae's herald."

Jokum collapses, strength spent and features transforming back into their regular cast, as the last demon falls. The dream perplexes him. He knows who the lady is, well enough, but she was never his goddess...

When he wakes up, Tentak is sitting on his chest, rough tongue slobbering over his face. "Fat lot of good you did, idiotic badger," Jokum half-groans, half-mutters, shoving the black-and-silver animal off of him. Tentak makes a gagging sound and coughs up what appears to be a demon's fang, then sets about grooming himself. Smugly.

As Danua and Voren talk, Jokum gets back on his feet, flexing his hands and working out the kinks in his muscles. He stares at his claws. Even now, minutes after the strange light of the wardstone has vanished, they shimmer like steel. Although he's always been tall and trim, his body feels different now too--more lean, harder, as though it's been refined by some sort of mighty forge or trainer.

Aloud, he says to Voren and Danua, "Voren's right. What you were is not as important...as perhaps I once thought." Turning to Danua, he spreads his hands. "Look upon me. When I was young a man I'd wronged tried to sacrifice me to a demon. I don't know what happened that night--I'd always assumed that the demon had taken residence inside me, and that that was why I've passed the last five decades without aging or slowing even as my childhood friends died. But now...now I'm not so sure." He grins and clenches his hand--for the first time, the claws seem to nestle easily in his palm, not piercing or even marking his skin. "Whatever I am...demon or no...I know what I'm here to do. And the demons that have taken my homeland won't like it." His grin turns feral and exuberant.

Voren looks at Jokum. "Interesting. Do you mind if I were to look you over and do some research? It could give you some answers." Despite the answer, Voren puts his hand on Jokum's shoulder. "That is a good mindset. I feel that, due to whatever happened just now, we might be the best chance of saving Sarkoris and ending the demon hordes."

By the way, no one can understand the verbal communication between Voren and Ayne without the use of magic.

"Feel free, Voren," Jokum says with a dry chuckle. "None have been able to figure it out yet."

He glances away, sniffing the air slightly. "We'd best move--this place remains a stronghold for the demoniacs, and we were not meant to live through this task. We should return to the crusader stronghold and regroup."

Voren does a quick look over of Jokum.

Knowledge (planes): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16
Knowledge (local); can't go past 10 due to untrained: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14

When Jokum makes his suggestion, Voren nods. "Agreed. We also need to take all of the supplies we have found and bury the bodies. Maybe the weapons could help the crusaders in some way."

You hear the pounding of footsteps up the stairway, and you see Commander Irabeth charge into the Wardstone Chamber, followed by a dozen soldiers.
"Are you all..." She starts out, then spots Danua.
"HALT CREATURE!!" She barked out, and a half dozen spears are leveled in Danua's direction.

"They are right, to an extent. You are no prisoner but you'll need to stand trial" says Karthak to Danua.
"You fought fiercely and helped us foil Arelu Voresh plans and I will vouch for you, but for yours and their sake the people of Kenabres need to know you redeemed yourself and helped save the city as much as any of us"

Then Karthak turns to the others:"Seems like on this day Torag smiled upon us! The enemy is defeated and the city saved. Now we just need to cleanse what's left of the demon's infestation... and find a way to reactivate the wardstones. So reporting back seems like a very good idea. I'm sure the others will be overjoyed to hear the news..."

Before he can finish his speech Irabeth enters the chamber and Karthak salutes her, ignoring her outburst:"Well met Irabeth. As you might have surmised by the trail of dead cultists and demons, we just prevented Areelu Vorlesh from blowing up the crusader forces along the mendevian border. Good job distracting the foul bastards by the way, the plan went as smoothly as possile"

Only then Karthak adresses the object of Irabeth's ire: Danua:"As for the tiefling... mind your manners. This is Danua, she was help prisoner by the demons and her help proved crucial in defeating them. She's as much an hero as we all are. Torag teaches that the only way to know what someone is made of is to witness their actions. Let me say Danua's proved she has true gold in her soul. There might be need for a trial but until then I expect you and the others to show her the respect she's due, and that I vouch for her"

Jokum just snorts at Karthak's words, and he rolls his eyes when Irabeth bursts into the chamber with her crusaders.

"Also, if you try to hurt her I will break those spears over your heads," he adds in a rumble to the end of Karthak's speech. "A trial will show nothing that we do not already know better. Come, let us leave this place...unless you've more for us to do?"

Going with the Eldritch Archer build so her weapon is changed, sorry for the wait, internet dropped out across the field. :/

She nods, somewhat dumbfounded at the warmth she receiving. It had been a long time since anyone had praised her and a part of her trembled under such praise. Facing her sins was better than hiding them, these men were right and what Karthak suggested was not only sound but was the right path. At the coming of the crusaders Danua nearly took a step back, her hands didn't fall to her weapons but the wish to run and run hard shot through her like lightning.

At Karthuks and Jokum's words she instead detached her weapons slowly. "Please don't fight amongst yourselves. Your words have... given me the courage to do whats right. Again. You have my deepest thanks." She looks to the one called Irabeth and holds her disarmed weapons steady as she tries to hand them over. Her scared arms and hands fully visible as she does so. "Irabeth was it? As Karthak said, I am Danua of Dyinglight and I surrender willingly." Her sword and bow were close together and appeared to be the only weapons she had.

Did I learn anything about Jokum?

Voren watches and listens to the events being unfolded. At Irabeth calling Danua, Voren grumbles. "Danua and I are the same race. Wouldn't that make me a creature as well?" He looks at Irabeth. "I stand by her as well. She poses no threat to us or our cause. She has been a great help to us and is a valuable ally and friend. However, if a trial is needed, then I will not oppose it."[/smaller] He watches as she turns her weapons over. He looks at Irabeth. "We have discovered numerous weapons and supplies here. It would be wise to collect them. There are also numerous dead to be buried."

Arthas raises a hand to still the armed men.

"She has already been tried. She is proven innocent by trial by ordeal. She fought by our sides against demons beyond imagining, granted power on loan form the Lords of the Heavens themselves."

"I bear witness that Iommade's own herald gave her his blessing as seen by our own eyes and she bears a scale of the great silver martyr in her hand."

Raising the now even more powerful blade to display it divinity the paladin continues.

"Behold, Radiance continues to wake in my hand, as real and as true as the hearts of these two blessed children of Ragathiel who bear resemblance to his holy being."

He appeals to Irabeth with passionate belief in his words.

"I declare that Danua should wear no shackles, know no shame or nor suffer injury by any faithful of this city. If you choose to place her in irons then I too shall be shackled and walk beside her."

Arthas gestures at the ruin of the room

"Rejoice! For today we have saved the city. We must send word beyond its walls of our survival and tell the wounded and widowed the sacrifice was not in vain!"

"Lament, that we must reveal expose traitors whom walked among us we once held incorruptible."

"But for now let us give thanks for our deliverance and celebrate our victor and by Torags beard I believe we all could use a drink!"

Really up to GM Striker how much you know, but just to explain what's up with Jokum...

Voren:
Jokum does not realize he is an aasimar--he thinks that his "unnatural" longevity is the result of demonic possession.

Jokum watches Arthas's speechifying, lips quirked. "I know I could use one," he comments. "And no shackles for anyone, say I. Not if the shacklers want to keep their arms..."

Made in his divine image, indeed. A curse is a curse, and they deserve credit for overcoming it.

Danua stood still, not quite sure how to act after Arthas speech and with Irabeth and her soldiers seeming to be awfully on-guard with her as well, It made her a little nervous as to how things would play out.

The soldiers surge forward, but Irabeth flung her arms out at the gleam still shining from Radiance, blocking their way.
"Wait! Look at her. Look at her truly!" She said, and they all turned their Paladin's eyes upon her. Danua felt like they were doing a body cavity search on her soul.
Then the scales of Terendelev started shaking wherever you have them stashed. Without thinking, you all draw them forth. They all shine in your hands; a tough looking dragon scale, jagged and irregular, but still shining brilliantly. They all look at the one in Danua's hand.
Irabeth nodded slowly.
"The token of Terendelev!
"Very well then, consider yourself on Parole at Artha's word of honor. You may speak to the queen on this when she arrives."

She bursts into a terrifying smile.
"But come! See what your efforts have gained!" She shouted, then led you all downstairs and out the entranceway.
"We have retaken the city!" She enthused. "That burst of energy, it stunned and confused the demons, making them easy prey for us! The ones who could, either flew or teleported away! The lesser ones and the cultists who remained, we have routed them!
"KENABRES IS OURS AGAIN!"
She shouted, and all the troops within earshot also cheered.

Arthas holds Radiance aloft to those assembled bathing them in it brilliant holy light.

"Behold! Behold, you who remained strong in your faith, firm in your resolve and loyal to our Gods in Heaven!"

"This day was wrought upon us by those who had lost faith! Those who believed they would be rewarded for their betrayal and their lives spared for their treachery. Know that they were rewarded for their cowardice in the only currency evil possess, by corruption of their bodies and the consumption of their very souls by demonic powers. They traded their very immortal essence for paltry worldly possessions and for the fear of mortal discomfort . . . "

"But you my friends, you who stood strong, back to back, fighting resolute against seemingly impossible odds. You defended the weak, sacrificed yourselves for the cause and above all . . . you remained loyal in your faith."

"Let it be known, the gods never abandoned us in our time of need, those who embraced the demons brought this down upon us. Despair, fear, men of weak character and morality brought this woe. But you who remained pious and righteous became a conduit for the heavens so that their holy work could be done through your hands."

"In the darkest moment The Herald stood with me and you. I saw this with my own eyes. Ragathiel handed down this blade to me so that I might wield it as The General wields me, but without sacrifice from you and yours my efforts would have been for naught."

"Look upon your fellow champions who are by my side. A stout dwarf follower of Torag, a nomadic Wildman, and these two that many of you might call half-fiends. These two, who have the hearts of angels, but bodies created in Ragathiel's image. Voren the Healer, who was brought to us from the time of the opening of the wound and Danua the Redeemed Warrior of the Light."

"You have secured a mortal victory for ourselves, but immortal release and salvation for the souls of the blessed dead."

"Now we shall rebuild to give thanks and glory to the Great Martyred Dragon Terendelv and our fallen brothers and sisters. Let us weep in both sorrow and joy, but let none of you hold your heads low."

Jokum watches Arthas, amused. He does like his words...bah, hells take it, they do no harm. I'll not deny these crusaders their celebration of victory, much though I may reject their gods. He scratches Tentak idly behind the ear, then readies himself to follow the others back to their headquarters as soon as possible.

Danua is wide eyed for the better part of the day, unsure of how to act with all this excitement and trying her best not to just back out of it completely.

Her bow chimed in in a somewhat serious but amused fashion. "Right mess you've got yourself in now. Best just enjoy the journey o' Redeemed Warrior of Light. Though, I must admit, that one has the abilities of a skilled Orator for sure."

What have I gotten myself into... Danua's last thought before a whirlwind of a week slammed into her like a boulder. Shattering her once narrow view of the world around her forever...

A couple of slots have opened up in this Wrath of the Righteous game; we're looking to recruit!

Our current team is made up of:

Ce-Eshna Lightfoot
Female Sylph (Native: Outsider) Fighter 2/Sorcerer(Arcane) 1

Jokum of the Breakbones
Male Aasimar Ranger (Shapeshifter)/3;

Karthak Ironbreaker
Male Dwarf Inquisitor 3

Pollux Wardroxan
Male Human Cleric 3

The characters are currently resting up in the old stone travelers inn, Defenders Heart, where the Kenabres resistance has its headquarters.

Build is the twenty point buy, two traits, one of them campaign.
Character Level three, 3000 gp to outfit yourself.
Just a brief paragraph as to your personality, appearance and how you would fit into the combat team. A detailed background can wait until you're selected.

I'm looking for a fast turnaround, so decision by Friday (hopefully).

If I may ask.
Druid. Lion Shaman. But instead a tiger?
Would that be okay?

As long as there is no mechanical advantage over the Lion, should be alright.

Any restrictions on race?

Both lion and tiger fall under same catagory cat, large

No restrictions on race; but really, the more complicated the race the less likely to get in. And you can't build your own either.

Its a shame to have a WotR party without a Paladin, which I'm happy to play unless someone else had already expressed interest in that particularly class.

If thats the case I would potentially play a sorcerer, since you seem pretty solid on martial and divine casting, and it might be nice to have a full caster.

I have Teleran Zultrar available for play. A Transmutation specialist, raised on a farm, and now walks the earth wanting to expand on his craft. And finds himself giving aid against the Worldwound, able to enlarge the soldiers, or make them harder to kill, or somewhat shape the battlefield against the enemy.

This is Raziel. His info is in the alias.

Currently he's level 1 but I can easily adjust that. He started as a ninja, but will become a paladin.

I will update if chosen. :)

DM, my game died a couple of months ago. Elena is a typical paladin, who had just gotten her hands on the magical long sword, and was ready to exit the tunnels into Kenabres.

I'd love to dust her off and have her rejoin a party. If interested, I'd get her leveled ASAP.

She was originally a bit of a haughty racist versus the tiefling in her party, but she's learned to look past her original bias, due to his usefulness and dedication to the cause. She still has her moments, but is improving.

Her profile has her detailed history. I was considering having her head toward Dragon Disciple, but if the party would prefer a "regular" paladin, I'd be happy with that as well.

Please let me know if there are questions or concerns. Thanks for the consideration.

Lantern Lodge

Dotting interest. Have a paladin that I have been working on, that I would love to play with this group. At work so wont be able to do a crunch or anything else till after.

Silver Crusade

Hello, my game also ended a while ago. We had just started and I would realy like to continue.

Description:

A huge, imposing figure covered in armor from head to foot, he carries a polished shield bearing a black rose. He speaks seldom in a deep, chilling voice that sends shivers up the spine of even the boldest knights.

Beneath the armor:
Height: 6'7"
Weight: 245#
Eyes: Red
Skin: Black
Hair: None
Once he takes off the helmet, you see a horrific black-scaled monster. Gleaming white fangs, small horns, glowing red eyes and pointed, serrated ears make him seem almost a full demon.

History:

His mother Kale caused the cracking of the Kenabres Wardstone.

At least, that is the way she tells it. Before the first attacks, she was merely one of a squad of soldiers assigned to routine duty in the city. With nothing much to do most of them spent a lot of time in the local tavern, which is where she met Arvoris. A fairly good-looking young blacksmith come to trade from a neighboring village, she started spending a lot of time with him. He asked her endless questions about her and the exciting life of a soldier, and she enjoyed the attention.

Until the attack began.

With the cracking of the Wardstone, Demons began the assault , a screaming horde ready to claim all Golarian as their own. The crusaders fought bravely but were barely holding the line. After a disasterous battle on the front where she had seen almost her whole squad killed, she and a ragged group retreated back through the city. She rushed to find her lover. When she told him he had to flee, he laughed.

And then he changed.

He was not a simple craftsman but an advance scout for the Demonic Horde. And she had provided so much valuable information! Tears in her eyes, she could not believe it. She had used her Sight on him, seen no sign of evil! He grinned and raised an amulet with strange markings on it, taunting her. She rushed him, sword raised, but he teleported away, his laughter still ringing in her ears. She changed after that. Before, she had been a devotee of Shelyn, finding beauty in everything and a firm believer that anyone could find redemption. Now, she rushed into battle, fiercely battling the enemy with no regard for her own life. Slowly, they managed to turn the tide and reclaim the city. The Wardstone held, and she joined the new crusade to push the demons further back.

Until she discovered she was pregnant.

She knew once the child was born, everyone would know of her shame and betrayal, so she fled. She settled in Ustalav, kept to herself and raised the demon-child for the rest of her life. She poured all her bitterness, rage, and hate for all demons into her son and trained him to kill as soon as he could hold a sword. But she also had the wisdom to try to make him understand that he was not to blame for what he was. Through his actions, he could overcome the stain of sin left on him by both his father and herself. He took to wearing full armor as often as he could, so as to hide his horrific visage. He still rarely removes it except when alone.

But it was not all lessons about demons and training. His fondest memories are of the times when, after a long day his mother would sing to him. She had a voice that would make the goddess Shelyn herself stop and listen! She would also sometimes talk about the family she left behind, her brother Kal who as far as she knew was still fighting in Kenabres.

Last year, he returned from a trip to pick up the weapon he would need in his fight to find her dead, with a skeletal grey-skinned demon standing over her. The fiend dropped something on her body and vanished before he was able to reach them. He vowed then to destroy all demons, and to find out why she had been singled out for such misery. He still holds the strange amulet dropped by the demon, but he has not yet found someone who can tell him the meaning of the runes carved into it.

Now he has arrived in Kenabres, biding his time training in a crusader camp outside the city, ready to kill his Father and any other demon that gets in his way...

I can level him up quickly if selected. He is a front-line fighter designed to be very tough and powerful against demons.

Do you allow taking a Drawback for an extra trait? I would like to keep it because it is important to his backstory and where I plan to take the character, but I can remove it if necessary.

Camris! I'd be interested in helping fill any spots you might have open. I'm getting ready to step out for my office's Christmas party right now, but I'll have a proper submission up for you tonight or tomorrow.

The Exchange

I would love to bring this character. I can easily level him up and fill in the remaining details.

Liberty's Edge

A heavily cloaked figure walks into the room, and casually leans against the wall as his azure eyes gleam from the depths of his hood. "I hear you are in need of some assistance?" Awen casually removes the scarf covering his face to reveal a darkly shaded and weather worn face. "I would be a capable and helpful accessory to any adventure you might have planned. I am more than capable in either melee or ranged combat, and am an experienced scout. My preferred quarry is the undead, but anything that disturbs the balance of nature may end up meeting with my sword." As Awen continues to remove his hood and cloak, you can see the nubs on his forehead, reminiscent of little horns, and his tail whips out and grabs a drink from the bar and puts it in his hand. "I am a Tiefling. Born of the sickest desires of a deamon and the innocence of my mother, then cast out into the wilds when she saw the creature I was. Now, my place is wandering the world and attempting to keep the balance where I may."
Awen is a level 3.. ranger 2/ rogue 1. If selected, I would have to add in my chronicle sheets and etc.. This is my in-person character and so I havent bothered to put that stuff up here.

in a clear and high tenor a lingering voice sings from a worn down stage attempting to cheer up this otherwise dingy establishment and then after the first song says
"I am Morgrym, hat is on the stage for tips and also accepting free drinks and lovely women who wish to meet me at my room" he says with a dashing smile and tip of his hat before continuing performing.

Please consider the following character more info to follow with gear and background. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I'd like to present Stalford Fain, a dwarven hunter and his animal companion Soren for your consideration, Camris.

I was intrigued by the Primal Companion archetype for hunters, and in Soren's case I think a neat way to explain the transformation is for Soren to have been affected by the Worldwound and left a darker power which Stalford and Soren can tap into to, in a sense, fight fire with fire.

As for Stalford, I think the Child of the Crusade campaign trait fits him best - I presume you've maintained the link between the traits and their associated mythic paths?

What roles does each party member fill in an out of combat? What do you feel like you have a need for?

Gilbert is a quiet dwarf. Dressed in a spiked breastplate and buckler, he carries no melee weapon, though he does have a composite longbow on his back.

He enjoys combat, and loves to isolate the leader of any group of enemies. He runs into combat, grapples his foes, and crushes them to death.

When asked of his past, all he currently will say is that the monastery life was not for him.

Might I ask why you chose undead for his preferred quarry, which I assume to mean favored enemy?

Yes, undead is his favored enemy. When I created this character, it was for a regular game (not Wrath of the Riteous), and the undead made the most sense for the campaign we were playing in. I can rework the character.. basically create a second with his mold... and go from there if needs must.

Sylas is a jokester demon slayer that fights with two longswords. He cracks jokes and likes to taunt the demons that he fights.

Moyra is a paladin, designed to be both a front line tank and also a back up healer. She is guardian path, exposed to awefulness. She is devout and very deeply connected in some way to Iomedae, though she knows not how, and a combination of her faith and her unknown heritage (fey foundling) was the reason she survived being attacked at a very early age. The demons left scars, she is unable to rightly access magics that paladins normally can, and she is a bit physically weaker as a result of the deformities and damage taken at such a young age. Her faith is what propels her forward, and she trusts that Iomedae will keep her safe.

She is intended to be able to wade into front line combat with the others, but also will have a great number of lay on hands as well as channel energy abilities, so she is not without healing power, as well as being trained in the classical mundane healing arts.

Not quite set on going full 18 cha, may back it off to 16 to give her other stats a bit of a boost, but for now this seems good to me. More than willing to discuss distribution to best help the party if selected.

Thanks for Consideration.

How many members are you looking for? It looks like you've already filled the paladin slot, and I hesitate to build a full character just to find out that everything is already filled.

If there's a spot open, I'll likely roll up a wizard intent on becoming a Rift Warden. Mechanically, she'd be able to provide knowledge skills and crafting, as well as give the party a full arcane caster.

As far as personality, I'm thinking of an LG Rahadoumi. She views the Worldwound as a prime example of what happens when gods and other extra-planars are allowed to meddle in the affairs of the Material Plane, and seeks to aid in its closure. While her personal belief in the Laws of Man are somewhat rigid, she has come to recognize that it may be impossible to banish the demons completely without divine aid, and tries her best not to judge those who have, in their mortal weakness, sought the aid of the gods.

Dal Salpher wrote:

Yes; though i'm not married to it. If there is a good reason to uncouple the mechanics with the Mythic background, I'm willing to listen.

I am looking to select two more players.

Dark Archive

I'd like to submit Curn Blackhand (human slayer), a Sarkorian native who was rescued by crusaders after being forced into a demonic ritual as a boy. Since then, he's devoted himself to demon hunting and serving as a scout and skirmisher for the army in Kenabres. He's a big man, his arms and chest covered in traditional Sarkorian tattoos, tribal fetishes mixed in with crusader holy symbols adorning his armor and weapons.

He's a scout and front-line combatant (shortsword and shield bashing) who would work well when paired with another melee fighter. I can pick up trapfinding as a slayer talent at level 4 if that's needed for the group.

Also, I have no trouble posting reliably. I've been running one PbP on these boards for the past year and a half, and was a player in a year-long, successfully-completed Dragon's Demand campaign.

Not to bug you again, but I never got an answer to my above questions DM-Camris.

Well, I don't know how to answer you in this. I just took over the game and don't really know how the players fight. Plus, with all the recruits, the dynamic will change again.

From what I've seen of the characters, I THINK they're set for melee. Beyond that your guess is as good as mine. Why not submit something you would LIKE to play?

DM-Camris wrote:

Haha you have quite a point there, although at any given time I usually have so many character ideas floating around that I can usually fill a niche. I'll start brainstorming ideas!

Arthas sent me a pm about joining this game. Is there room and do I need to make any changes to Voren?

Voren can you show us what Voren would look like at level 3 with 3000gp of gear please.

Okay. I'll try and get that to you as soon as I can. Do I need to change my point buy? Also, a few questions:

1) Could you guys let me know where you are at? Are you out of the underground?
2) I was planning on making Voren into a Hierophant/Archmage. Is that okay?
3) Is my backstory okay with you guys?

When we fight we usually jump on the nearest opponent and beat him into submission... Nothing fancy but it gets the job done... most of the time!

As for roles, the group is short on dedicated casters (Ce-Eshna is looking to become an arcane archer if I reckon correctly), lacks good sources of healing (in theory it's Pollux, me and now Arthas but I can't heal very well, pollux can't either and I don't think a paladin's main focus is healing), also we might lack a rogue type character for stealth, chests and traps but it's probably less important than having a dedicated caster and healer.

On Moyra, one of the things I was on the fence about what which mythic path to take. I had intended her to be a healer and play the role of a damage absorber as well. If need be, I can switch her mythic path to heirophant, as there are a lot of abilities there that will augment her healing considerably. I had built her with both focuses in mind, but able to switch depending on which the group needed more.

Also, how do I determine my total hit points.

Are we gonna be long lost twins if selected Voren? :P

Not sure. Considering Voren is from the past. :P

At the start each one of us had a mythic path, Karthak is a defender and Pollux a heirophant and the others have their own different path too. I don't know if Pollux is coming back though.

Oh, I know EXACTLY who I want to bring into this game! My very first D&D character ever made, a wizard who was obsessed with the planes and outsiders. He's had roles in many of my homebrew campaigns and has several years of effort put into him. I'll get a version of him drawn up and be back tonight!

Traits
Hedge Magician: Benefit: Whenever you craft a magic item, you reduce the required gp cost to make the item by 5%.
Riftwarden Orphan: You bear a strange birthmark on your body—something you’ve learned is the Sign of the Seeker’s Spiral, a rune associated with the secret society known as the Riftwardens. You have researched this rune, and have learned that the mark sometimes appears on the children of Riftwardens who have been exposed to particularly strange planar energies. Unfortunately, you never knew your parents, for you were raised by a foster family in Kenabres. Your foster family has confirmed that both of your parents were Riftwardens, and has further confirmed that your parents went missing on a secret mission into the Worldwound less than a month after you were born. You’re not sure what happened to them, but you’re certain they’re dead—and your gut tells you that the one who murdered them yet lives! In any event, you’ve long felt magic in your blood, and casting spells comes easily to you. You gain a +2 trait bonus on all concentration checks.

Silya is a thin, angular woman with all the features typically found in the Rahadoumi: she has dark skin, sharp cheekbones, and broad shoulders. She possesses several noticeable burn marks across her face and hands, and her left hand is missing a third of her small finger. Even more prominent, however, is a birthmark that lies just below her right eye. The mark is shaped as three spirals arranged in a triangle formation, with each spiral extending outwards and meeting all at the same point.

Silya is typically dressed in long, flowing robes of red and silver. Her hair is worn in small, tight braids. She walks with an air of confidence and purpose, albeit with a light limp that favors her right leg.

--------------------

I have not yet allocated much of the 3,000 starting gold, but will do so if selected. Or if I have too much free time before a final decision is reached.

I am slightly altering her personality to fit a compromise between the First Law and growing up in Kenabres. She developed her own unique take on the role of gods and extraplanars on the Material Plane, which is essentially that they have no place in the Material Plane. This may evolve due to interactions with the other PCs, but for the moment she believes that as long as the gods and extraplanars keep themselves physically out of the Material Plane, she has no issue with them. Obviously, the Worldwound is a major violation of her personal beliefs.

I am back with my character ready to be reviewed.

Tiasar Auvrelth and his familiar Morde.

All of the character creation information (except for how he will fit into the combat team) is listed in the profiles, including the beginning of the background.

How he will fit into the combat team:
Tiasar is a conjurer, battlefield controller, and utility caster. He uses summoning spells to deliver and tank damage, buff spells to empower the party, and has some utility spells for various situations (infernal healing, feather fall, grease, obscuring mist, invisibility, etc.). He will usually have an arsenal of scrolls on him to be prepared for as much as he can. He will also serve as a translator (using magic if necessary) and walking library (5 knowledge skills maxed).

I appreciate any thoughts or feedback, and don't hesitate to ask if anything needs clarification.

Also, do you allow drawbacks? If so I would like to take the oblivous drawback to reflect Tiasar spending most of his time inside, doing research and separated from mankind.

Teleran Zultros, Elven Transmuter, reportin' for duty!

I'd like to introduce you to the new, improved Voren!

His party role would be as a healer, buffs/debuffs, and decent amounts of summoning. He'll also be a crafter of staves and potions. He's armed with tons of potions and alchemic reagents and other neat stuff. The reagents will boost the power of his spells. But, when all's said and done, he's set to be a primary healer.

Ready to go!

OK, THIS RECRUITMENT IS NOW CLOSED TO NEW APPLICANTS!

Live RP and Christmas stuff this weekend, so probably decision late Sunday.

Yes you can have an extra trait for a drawback.

20 point buy.

Hit point convention is to roll for hitpoints, but reroll if you get less than half+1.

1: We are out of the underground and safe at Defenders Heart at the moment after dropping off most of the NPC's across the remains of the city. The companions are about to be sent out to raid a suspected cult safe house.

2: I'm cool with that.
3: Yep.

Hit point convention is to roll for hitpoints, but reroll if you get less than half+1.

Okay. So start out with level 1 full hp (7 hp + 1 favored class = 8 hp). Now for the rolls:

hp level 2: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
hp level 3: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

And add two extra hp for favored class. So my total would be 20. I'll also go through my skills and make sure that's correct.

EDIT: Just went through my skills and redistributed my 15 skill points. There's not much change.

HP lv 2: 1d6 ⇒ 6
HP lv 3: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Nice! Now I'm only moderately easier to kill than every other class!

I'm really excited about the trait I found, as it goes perfectly with the drawback and is cool for the campaign too.

I believe those are the final changes I'll be making, unless selected and then I'll flesh out the background more. Can't wait for selection, best of luck everybody!
