From what I've seen before, there is almost an unending demand for the main (only?) Starfinder evergreen. As a result, I'll be running another table of [SFS 1-01] The Commencement, a Tier 1-2 scenario particularly appropriate for fledgling Starfinders taking their first steps.

All Starfinders complete their training by conferring with Guidance—a network of uploaded personalities embodying paragons from the Starfinder Society's history. Before receiving the blessing of Guidance, the PCs must meet with and assist critical missions on behalf of key leaders of the Society's leading factions. With the events of the Scoured Stars Incident still fresh in everyone's memory, there's plenty that needs doing to set the Society back on track.

Lol. Not really. I've got 2 main characters - one which just started The Commencement yesterday. I've just started a 3rd character to play The Commencement on my home forum (RPGG). So Twik is my last remaining character yet to play it.

Well, we'll start mustering up and if it doesn't look like you'll be out of that game any time soon, we'll get another person to pitch in.

Hey guys, we have something exciting starting up soon.

Chris Wasko, the author of SFS scenario 1-13, On the Trail of History, is going to be running two tables on the forums.

Now possessing key information about the mysteries of the Scoured Stars, the Starfinder Society sends the PCs to a distant star system in the Vast. The idea that the non-spacefaring natives of this system have any connection with the distant Scoured Stars seems unlikely, but it's up to the PCs to confirm if a connection does exist. Other factions complicate the situation by having their own unique agendas relating to the distant world and its peaceful inhabitants.

Content in On the Trail of History also contributes to the ongoing goals of the Second Seekers (Luwazi Elsebo) faction. Content in this scenario also contributes to the ongoing year of the Scoured Stars storyline.

Because we expect this to be very popular, selection is going to be by lottery, except for up to one reserved seat per table. This is a tier 3-6 game, so we realize that not everyone has an in tier character yet. Players with actual characters at that tier will be given preference in the lottery, with any remaining seats chosen by lottery among players wanting to bring pregenerated characters.

(We have a folder of SFS Pregens here.)

• Characters In Tier: If you have a character in tier who will be available, please fill out one line on the first sheet completely. Incomplete entries or those that do not list a specific character will be removed and not considered.

If anyone is taking requests. I would like to play a 3-4 table of 1-05: First Mandate. For the record this would be a nova replay for me, but I wanted to play it with my actual Second Seeker character and hopefully do the rest of the SS arch.

(yes this is kind of my own creation because I hate "playing down" though the character I did play was enjoyable.)

Are there nova's replays?

I know there are Pathfinder star replays, but I missed that there are replays for Starfinder.

GM Star Replay: As a GM earns GM stars, she gains a limited ability to replay adventures (see Chapter 3: GM Basics). Note on the Chronicle sheet that you are using one of these limited replay opportunities (for example, “GM Star Replay #3”).

They earn the ability to replay one scenario once (see Replaying Adventures on page 8) per nova earned.

I'm eager to play in in the new evergreen, Ashes of Discovery, now that it is out. Hoping to get in a couple runs of it actually between now and mid-June to apply to a couple of Alien Archive Boons.

Still only three signups for drowned delights. I'll give it another day and then delay that game for a month and maybe run that new evergreen to help get a few more characters up to level 3.

Oh, wow, when I signed up with Huckle, I wasn't expecting you to start it for another week to two weeks, yeah, he ain't going to be level 3 if you started within 48 hours. I think a lot of others are in the same situation.

Well, another of the signups was with an iconic. That says to me "hold up and give folk a chance to level up"

So I'll put Drowned Delights on hold, and see if there is any appetite for the new evergreen scenario "Ashes of Discovery". And as part of the reason for doing this is to try to get a few more level 3 characters out there, I'll put a preference in for level 2 characters and top up with level 1s.

I am so glad you are running it! I am trying to limit Medrick to Second Seeker and untagged adventures and Ashes of Discovery and Fugitive on the Red Planet are the only 2 that he can play that are tier 1-2. This would be the adventure to finally get him to level 3!

I'd be happy to run this, but I am still about 2-ish weeks out from completion of any of the tables I am currently running. I'm also planning a week-long trip at the end of May. All in all, it may be early June before I can run this. Given the posts above, it may take a few more weeks to get a 3-4 table of anything going anyways. If that time table works for you, I can get a recruitment thread going.

Wow! I didn't expect such a strong response (only 3 1/2 hours to fill up. It took a week to get a group together last time I tried to get a Paizo PbP up and running!)

Give me a few days to wrap up my current PbP and get everything all squared away there. I'll start the game as soon as that one ends (which it should any day now assuming people post regularly.)

In the meantime, if any who signed up want to dot into the gameplay thread Here You can post a brief description of yourself as well as how you enter the room. Also you may want to take the time to update your character sheets if need be and include base statistics in your description bar thingie.

Hi Boys, Girls and Hosts, I'll be running a table of SFS 1-12 Ashes of Discovery. This is a tier 1-4 repeatable!

When a major Pact Worlds organization approaches the Starfinder Society about investigating an abandoned outpost in Near Space, the PCs get assigned to the case. Travelling to a distant world, surmounting dangerous threats in the void of space, and meeting new alien cultures—this mission is about everything the Starfinder Society embodies.

Ashes of Discovery is a replayable scenario designed to help introduce players to what it's like to be a member of the Starfinder Society. With randomized mechanical and story elements, when you play this scenario, you'll never play the same scenario twice.

Since I assume there are still quite a few people interested in playing through this one, I'll open a signup list from now until Wednesday, and then pick players via lottery (starting play on Thursday). Please sign up only if you can commit to 1+ posts per day, every day.

As Aerondor pointed out upthread, there's Starship Combat in this one, though to my eye its a pretty interesting one. :>

For the Alien Archive boon, you have to complete it by June 14th of this year. If a game starts by that time, does it count? Or do you have to finish by that time?

I'm looking to get two more games in by June 14th to complete this boon, and for RL reasons these games really have to be online.

I have one character free now and a reasonably quick PbP scenario should be complete in that time. Likewise, another character of mine is almost ready; he could be finished Into the Unknown within a week or so.

I have already done:
SFS 1-00 Claim to Salvation
SFS 1-01 The Commencement
SFS 0-01 Into the Unknown
SFS 1-03 Yesteryear's Truth

The character I have available now is level 1, and the one that will be ready soon will be level 2.

What is out there?

@ Peet- I believe the games must be completed by June 14 for the AA boon.

I proposed a GM trade about a month ago, which was fruitful to help complete one boon. I am about 1 week out from completing my part of the trade and could run another scenario after that.

If you were willing to run any one of the SFS evergreens at a pace for June 14 completion, I would be happy to run a scenario of your choice for completion by then in exchange.

1-02 is a fun one with no starship combat that could be done fairly quickly.

Let me know if we can work something out.

Can someone explain the Alien Archive boon? I have heard some some people talk about it but I don't know what they mean.

I'm sure it is out there somewhere, but GMing a game counts for the boon doesn't it?

@Medrick it is a boon to encourage play early on. You get access to an uncommon race after playing six scenarios, and a rare one after 12.

AP volumes count for three scenarios.

Unfortunately, I believe GMing does not count for the boon, only playing scenarios does. I'd be happy to be shown that I am wrong, however.

Since when has GMing not been playing a game?

There are some key things to note about this boon. First, it is entirely based on games played, so GMing does not count towards completion;

I'm sure that it's been specifically clarified somewhere by Paizo that GM'ing does not count towards the Alien Archive boon. You need to play. I'll try and hunt it down.
