Because I couldn't think of another way to just randomly throw out what I want.

I want a Heritage for Leshy's that gives them Thorns. Essentially built in armor spikes. Not so much for any combat build, but because I really want to make a character that is a sentient Blackberry Bush with a Shrike as a Familiar.

Also, I would gladly pay ~$30 for an official book that mods Starfinder classes to PF2 rules.

2/3 casters back.

Clear as day errata/f.a.q. on all the argued issues: Battle medicine, witch MC familiar (2 abilities? 1? 2+x for leveling? I think 2, but maybe 1, probably not 2+x), shifting rune staves, free hands needed for tool abilities generally (I think it's clear, but maybe only 2 people agree with me), slots allowed for use in spell blending (school? MC? MC other tradition?), what happens on a successful (but not crit success) basic save against a spell that does persistent damage, clear rules on what familiars can do outside of combat, how many 10th level slots does a wizard or cleric get (upwards of 4+bond for wiz, 8 for cleric?). I'm sure there's more. Just look for 100+ post discussions in the rules subforum.

Settlement levels/details in books where it makes sense (world guide, APs). AoA book 4 has a good example.

Fancier other armors (wood armor, tower shields, anything neglected).

Higher level chase cards? I dunno, just started using them, and it seems fun, but they go up to 8. Maybe it should get easier though.

I would like them to fix the alchemist class and mutagens.

Now that the oracle is back, switch demonic and diabolic sorcerer bloodlines back to arcane casters. While we are at it, also like to see some prestige/archetypes for those bloodlines akin to dragon disciple. Dedications that make the character more fiendish.

Why not go ranger so you can have an abominable snowm-I mean, so you can have an ape companion?

Doubt it's going to happen, considering both demons and devils cast divine spells and are divine creatures.

Some small things that I personally want (some of which get some people really riled up if you mention you want them, but I'm going to say them anyway); some more options to stop aging like a wizard and alchemist capstone feat, some workarounds for item runes similar to how polymorphing usually adds extra damage dice without the need for striking runes (something like weapon summoning or spell to create a ice dagger, etc), some metamagic applicable only to cantrips to give them different effects similar to how kineticist infusions work... That's all I have for now.

i have but a single wish for a wizard class feat that gives

IMMORTALITY

in the sense of non-aging that and nothing else if you give me that my life is fulfilled

I'd like to swap the core Sorcerer's spell components with something that is not dependent of an artificial vocal language scheme nor a specifically shaped appendage. Best for explaining in-physics how some beings with not so convenient vocalizations or no flexible hands are at ease with casting innate spells that function like non-innate ones.

And some functionally practical(widely applicable) cantrip(s) per school per tradition (if not already extant). Like because Sigil is admittedly too situational even for non-Transmuters...

----

While I might have other wishes to come true (like separating Space-Time spells from Conj and Trans as a separate school, or the return of elaborate aging effect rules to make Timeless Body/Nature and Immortality elixirs more valuable), these two seem to be on the forefront of my mind now.

aerial combat/chase rules. GM: "Your alchemist is doing what at what altitude?" Player: "they called them bombs for a reason..." starts playing "Firestorm" from Sabaton

spell guns/ arcane riflemen

magic focus. a magical item to raise your spell attack/spell dc by +1 - +3 (there are runes that do this for weapon attack but not spells)

I want Gnoll PC race and Summoner Class with a strong pet. Caster + Pet is one Archtype I love. Like the FFXIV summoner, or the Demonology Warlock in WoW, or the Necromancer in GW 2.

I don't think I can create my fearsome canine warrior concept when I'm stuck with a small statured anthropomorphic pug.

And, seriously, if the art is accurate to the concept, the ancestry should take a penalty to stealth because they constantly snuffle when they breath.

Controversial opinion, but, a "proper" canine ancestry

Pugs are highly divisive and a very odd choice for a canine ancestry. Some people (clearly some at Paizo) absolutely love them. Other can't stand them. I told my group about the "Pug people" and there was an incredibly loud groan followed by "why pugs of all breeds?"

Same. We absolutely HATE pugs at our table, for many of the same reasons. I feel so sorry for pugs in general, and I don't know why people like the look of them.

If one of my players decided to go shoony but look like a canine that isn't...horribly deformed, I'd let them, but I'd like a playable race like gnoll or something like that.

Pugs really are a cruel reminder of how many humans don't care about the animals they breed, as long as they think said animal "look nice".

agreed you were granted the power to breed animal due to your high int score what will you do?

a) will you make your companion larger?

b) more powerful?

c) or make his face ugly with eyes that split on different directions because the facial structure is horrible

i love animals but this is one of those breeds i just want to euthanize out of mercy so no dog will have to go through this again

My campaigns took a really magitech and Mievillen turn as I loved later PF1 rules and bestiary ancestries. Trying to continue with that flavor as my campaigns converted to PF2

I'd like to see

Fetchling Ancestry
Shabti Heritage?
Rougarou and/or Gnoll Ancestry
Deep One Hybrids Heritage
Yaddithian Ancestry
Munavri Ancestry
Naiad Ancestry
Lycanthrope heritage
Ghorun or medium plant ancestry
Grippili!
some kind of sentient undead heritage.

whatever Occult classes make sense to bring to PF2

Numeria Tech
Firearms
Clockwork crafting devices/creations/augments
Shory, Jitska, Azlant flavored items

Starfinder Starship rules for ocean going or land vehicles and skyships. I took Starfinders rules as best I could for PF1 and then PF2 as my high level campaign features magical airships and the other is ocean/coastal that heavily features ocean going/aquatic themes. Vehicle combat, exploration and travel rules for PF2 would be great

Planar related material. Trying to do different and exotic campaigns that I never got around to

Both extremely good points XD

But also don't tell Eddy Webb I said that or he might delay my copy of Pirates of Pugmire... [joke]

I'd like a Canine ancestry that's like the version of Kobolds that show up in a lot of Fantasy setting Anime.

An Adept class.

The usual 5 cantrips.

Only 1 spell per level.

Will is it's primary attribute.

Can only access common spells.

Meditates for spells.

Has 4 traditions: Arcane, Divine, Occult, Primal.

Selects 1 tradition at 1st level; irrevocable choice.

No access to 10th level spells; there's no feat. (So, short of a wish or Celestial/Infernal intervention, Adept's do without.)

I think of it as an class for NPCs.

Just off the top of my head.

Why would we need a class for NPCs? Aren't they made using entirely different rulesets than player characters?

As far as wishlist things tho, I'd like playable strix back. I love them very much.

Related but not exactly an NPC class, I'd like an updated version of the Simple Monster Creation rules from Unchained. I know NPCs aren't exactly difficult to design, but I think an "on rails" set of sample powers and templates would make it easier. And more "class" templates than just PC classes; I'd like them to have some of the basic NPC roles also be a "class", like a Diplomat, Bandit, or Cult leader "class".

More useful would be guidelines on scaling a monster up or down multiple levels. They have an in office-spreadsheet that will modify the numbers of a creature so that they can be recalculated to any level you'd like, but complexity is still an issue. So advice making adjustments on that would be helpful.

I want Paizo not to go the WotC route where weak and poor gameplay elements are left to rot.

Instead of just publishing new new new content, actually use the feedback to shore up and improve the feats, abilities and items players avoid using.

Good news, kayal were already confirmed for the Ancestry Guide in February! I'm so excited.

I'd also like to see shabti, but have absolutely no idea how that'd go in 2E.

On the GM side: I'd like guidelines on what a custom spell can and can't do in terms of parameters (we are almost definitely gonna get this in Secrets of Magic).

Player side: Harrow Medium, even though Mark Seifter indicated on the Discord that it's 100% dead in the water.

Fortunately I could totally just reflavor summoner to be Quintessentialist.

I'd like to see:

  • More things that play with the action economy, especially for casters. See: Quickened Casting, Eldritch Nail.
  • Gish-style variants for each major tradition, particularly if they have particularly interesting/unique class features
  • Class archetypes
  • Continued support for Alchemist and Warpriest, as they need a lot of feat power to overcome their inherent proficiency issues (max expert attacks)
  • Maybe eventually a 20+ system that isn't as bonkers as Mythic.

  • Dark Archive

A feat to draw two weapons.

Class archetypes (not the multiclass ones)

An adventure path set in Kyonin

An adventure path that completes the starstone trial

A lore book describing warfare in a magical world as well as how humanoids have survived in a world with literal dragons

A book with random charts for creatures in different ecosystems

God, yes. It would probably have to be a ancestry/class combo, but being able to play a powerful monster and have it be balanced would be fantastic.

Another Game Mastery Guide but this time with more focus on game advice than sub systems: Learning how to use downtime effectively, how to deal with time in general, tactical combat and map design, how to switch from exploration to combat, more interesting environment rules, how to run familiars, additional hexploration rules, how to use lore skills, how to prepare and run NPCs well and prepare the session. You have to figure out a lot of that stuff on your own atm.

Buffs for the Witch and Alchemist.

A way to quickly look up monster abilities like Ferocity.

A bit more crafting depth to really make crafting shine.

1E AP conversions for Rise of the Rune Lords, Curse of the Crimson Throne and maybe others as well. At least give me a way to purchase them as 1e Pocket Editions.

Right, so the question they asked was "Why would we need a class for NPCs?"

I would like the core rulebook edited for clarity, in particular to break out crucial details from being buried deep in long paragraphs, to being highlighted as well as the sidebar stuff at the beginning each class description.

A focus based class ( refocusing x2 by lvl 6 and x3 by 12 ) would be interesting.

No spell casting involved, and just the normal combatant progression.

I'd also love to see a class meant to work with the rune of shifting, which would give some unique gameplay ( I did something months ago, but then dropped and forgot about it https://paizo.com/threads/rzs42vks?Engineer-Class-The-Shifter ).

I know the shifter in p1 was something totally different, but the name simply came up because or the rune.

Right, so the question they asked was "Why would we need a class for NPCs?"

    Yeah, that.

NPCs are made in a different way than PCs are, as far as I'm aware, you don't need a whole class for NPCs. No more Paizo iconic Rogue/Cleric cultists, they're just cultists built using the NPC making rules.

1 person marked this as a favorite.
    Pathfinder Lost Omens, Rulebook Subscriber

I wouldn't mind an NPC class for niche cases, like a hireling that you want to stick around but never be the star of the show. Would make it easier to advance, or let the party advance, without pulling back the curtains on the regulae npc and monster building rules.

It could also serve as a low power campaign option, or a lower powered option for dual classing.

I wouldn't dismiss NPC classes out of hand, but they're certainly not high priority.

There really are really just too many things...

As far as classes go Kineticist, Shifter, Summoner and Magus are my favorites.

What I would really like them to do is treat it more like an "online" game and update things. I know it probably isn't worth it since it really doesn't make any more money but here are some examples...

Alchemists: Sounds like pretty much everyone agrees it is weak/missing something so I think it should be buffed.

Archetype: 90% of the APG Archetypes are amazing and am very happy with them and future ones. It would be nice if all the previous ones could get this treatment.

Ancestries: I just did a quick count of feats for Dwarves 33 feats vs the Hobgoblin 15 feats... that just doesn't seem right to me.

Dedications: I think it would be nice if they removed the requirement for advanced feats from dedications like Advanced Dogma. I just find it very awkard that if you take a dedication at 2 and spellcasting at 4 you then at 6 would have to take a level 1-2 feat to be able to get 4+ feats.

Overall though I am very happy with 2e and feel it really keeps the character options great while reducing power discrepancies while keeping them unique and fun. I really have no idea how anyone can like martials in 1e or D&D 5e. 2e martials actually seem very very interesting.

Off topic... but I would love a purely online TTRPG where the game could just change at the owner/company's discretion. You wouldn't have things like level 1 monks with 25 ac...

I'd like the skinwalker ancestry to be updated, maybe as a versatile heritage like the aasimar. Something to let me make a character with therianthrope theming that doesn't require an archetype or specific class.

The rules for owning and upgrading a castle that where in one of the APs fleshed out into a general rule system for castle ownership, and maybe tie it into the rules for running an organisation?

Genasi, Kanabo, Anadi, Caligni and Vishkanya ancestries.

More underappreciated/monstrous species from PF1 getting the ancestry treatment.

I'd like to see Paizo get more adventurous with class and feat design. The Swashbuckler and the Investigator are pretty cool, but the Witch and Oracle don't feel all that different from every other spellcaster.

I'd like to see Paizo get a little more experimental with what classes can do and a little more 'out there' with feat design. Part of PF2's initial pitch was having robust, cool, powerful feats instead of just math fixers and I'd really like to see Paizo leaning into that by creating crazy, flavorful, powerful things (even at low and mid levels tbh), now that the APG has covered a lot of basics.
