What's a good name for a +X evil outsider bane keen nodachi?

Liberty's Edge

Blade of the Celestial Guardian

Sword of the Seven Heavens

Grand Chrysanthemum Temple Sword

Be poetic assuming it is a sword with an "Oriental" flair.

Grasscutter

Bad ass butter knife?

Blade of Light's Honor

Vera

Edit: On a serious note, any history to the blade? I tend to think towards naming things based on their histories instead of their current properties.

Sovereign Court

Kunoichi, its the term for a female ninja.

Bane of the Nine Hells

Lost Blade of the Archon

Devil's Deathwish

Heaven's Judgement

Devil's Deathwish

I like this one.

Kamsa hamnida

Sovereign Court

Since it's Keen, I like the idea that it cuts through evil outsiders as though they weren't even there. To that effect:

-The Devil Dispeller
-The Demon Dismisser
-The Wind of Wickedness' End

Swift Justice (Emphasis on the Keen)

Consecrated Saber (Adamantine is considered to be from the heavens; fitting for the material of this sword)

Saint's Sai of Spirit Banishing (Sai is actually a japanese term for Edge, and Saints are generally those who are opposed to evil demons and spirits)

Demon's Exile (probably make it Silver/Cold Iron-based material for this one)

Just off the top of my head...

Zantetsuken

Irving!

Charrend.

It comes from The Door Within trilogy of books, and means "The Blade that Cleaves Darkness". Pretty badass name for a demon slaying sword.

Holy Spoon!

Then sit back and watch as any good-aligned divinations that get answers as language end up utterly confusing your enemies.

Dark Archive

Oni supuritta - Oni Splitter
Aku supuritta - Evil Splitter
Ten no ikari- Heavens wrath
Inochitori akuma - Banes Demon
Sendan abisu - Shearing Abyss

Liberty's Edge

Serenity

A faded elven inscription is set upside-down into the blade with soft, curling letters. when translated, it reads:
"If you can read this, you are likely dead."

"Knife" is also a good name.

.

if you wanna go fancy, then try something like a translation of "sword of purity".

inscribed on the blade would be something like "If a demon crosses your path, you shall cut him down. If a god crosses your path, you shall cut him down."

I forgot to add that it is made of cold iron, and will be used to slay demons and cultists throughout the Wrath of the Righteous adventure path. There is not much history too it yet, since it was recently forged, but it was in my hands when our party became infused with mythic power.

Angel's Envy
Bitter Bite
Glitter Cut
The Demon Renderer
Death's Wish
Cold Truth
Devil's Cut

oh, it's newly formed? then why even have a name for it--go FIND a name for it in-game! swords names come from their deeds in battle.

Primarily because "+1 evil outsider bane cold iron nodachi" is kind of a mouthful, and I'd rather write something on the character sheet that isn't going to take up two whole attack lines.

Also, because it's cooler.

EDIT: So far, I'm thinking I like "cold truth" the best. Anyone got any others?

Caelus Ultio

Calus- latin for heaven
Ultio- latin for vengeance

Resolve.
Judgment.
Heaven's Scorn
Mortality's Answer.
Verdict.

You have a choice between naming it as if it were Intelligent, and naming it as if it were an object. One word names tend to imply the sword has a will of it's own. Two word names tend to be descriptive and keep it as an object.

"See the Answer of Mortality!"
"See Resolve!"

etc.

Thanks for the advice, Aelryinth. I've never quite thought of it that way, but it seems to ring true.

How about Dark Reaver then it is almost named after your self.
Also what is your characters name. I currently have a PC called Horst Dragsætt Vallstena. (Dragsætt meens dragon kin) and his sword is Ormstunge ( wyrms tongue)
So if your PC is called pehaps sir. Cumsized his blade would be Mark of the faithfull.

Edit: ok pehaps the last bit was a bit unsofisticatet.

And no, not the Hobbit's Sting, but the musical singer.

My character's name is Anna Grey, a female half-elf paladin.

Pale Moon over Grey Mist.

Two-Handed Deathknife of Stabbity Doom!.

The exclamation point is part of the name. Just one, though. Any more than that would be stupid.

Innocents' Retribution

Shadow Lodge

Final Judgement.

Dagger.

look at hakumen's speech from blazblue. some good terms there.

A no-dachi is not a precise instrument. It's what you use when you need to be over THERE, but there happens to be a lot of unfriendly, armoured people in the way. The two documented methods of using it were called "reaping" and "making way". This one is dedicated to doing this against unnatural things. Thus, Devil reaper.

It is also a question of who made it. An ogre master smith could call it Sword of Big Ouch or Bad Stuff Smasher.

Kusanagi

Cold Cutter

Eobcin or Keobcin if it is Keen.
