Agreed, Dragon78. Also I am not happy that Starfall, Capital of Numeria wasn't included. Instead as GM, I have to purchase Pathfinder Adventure Path #89: Palace of Fallen Stars, which is frustratingly inconvenient. It should have been in the Campaign setting much like Whitethrone was included in Irrisen and Kalsgard in Lands of the Linnorm Kings or Sothis in Osirion Campaign Setting. Yeah, frustrating to say the least.

Yeah, Paizo does this with a lot of their major cities. Kalsgard only got a small paragraph in Lands of the Linnorm king. The major write up was in the Jade Regent series. If I remember correctly, Caliphas was also very small in Rule of Fear, with most of the info in the Carrion Crown AP.
I suppose in the long run it allows more words to be written for the setting, since the capitals can get articles in the adventures, leaving room for more fluff in the campaign books.

Nope, Caliphas got a significant write-up in Rule of Fear that includes a map plus statblock. I am not sure if there is more in Carrion Crown. Kalsgard as well as Whitethorne and Sothis got maps with a brief write-up. The Worldwound gave us a Map of Iz as well. No, I stand by my complaint that Starfall should at least got a map.
Edit: But I am focusing on one small issue. The rest of the book is awesome and cannot wait for its sister book the Technology Guide.

Huh? I was just about to buy this pdf when it mysteriously vanished from my shopping cart and is not available right now.
What happened?
Normally, the PDFs don't go on sale for each month's new products until the street date - which is after they've had time to ship all the subscriptions. I believe the street date this month will be June 25th.
Someone pointed out in the customer service forum earlier that this month's products seemed to be available for PDF sale when they shouldn't be, so I'm guessing someone at Paizo noticed and went ahead and fixed that oversight.

PDF: Unavailable
Is this only this book, or do the future bestiaries and other books also suffer the same fate?
I can't buy the books, only the PDF's because the books get stolen by the mailmen around here, so my world would be in constant stress if I had to wait for the books to show up the entire time...
I didn't want this book, i'm just afraid this will happen to more books...

Your mailman steals your books? Does he play or is he 'saving you from demonic influences'?

It's a server issue I believe. The unavailable is just a place holder while they sort it out.

Maybe she's not actually wayward.

The mailmen in the Netherlands aren't really to be trusted... at least the ones in Rotterdam aren't...
I ordered a lot of stuff from Bol.Com, games, boardgames, books and other stuff like that, only half of it came at my address, the rest just disappeared and Bol.com couldn't find it anywhere.
I just wouldn't like the stress every month of hoping the books arrive in time or if they arrive at all... PostNL would be good to stay true to their NL name...
Also I don't need the books that much, I like the PDF's more so I can use the pictures and read it.

You mean all your fiends aren't already doing that lol?
But yeah in all seriousness I'm with you it's nice to begin to feel some of the true power some of these outsiders have by showing how far they can reach. They allude to some of that in Wrath in reference to Baphomet as well if that helps you out.

Would it be possible to change the note from "unavailable" to "PDF will be released on June 25th (or whatever)"? I was wondering what "unavailable" meant earlier myself, and I see this question pop up frequently.
It would also be awesome to have a pre-purchase option for PDFs, but that's a different kettle of fish.

It is not currently possible to do so in an efficient manner at this time (otherwise, I would have done it already). The method that was being used previously to display that information is no longer valid with a recent code update, and I don't have an ETA on when that information will be displayed again.

It is, but there are some technological hurdles to overcome, as well as a few legal/financial considerations to keep in mind.

You might want to place a Message on the front page with the info on the "PDF:Unavailable" message. Many folks I know went into a panic thinking that Paizo was no longer going to sell PDFs for their books. Folks like myself & many others rely on PDFs for gaming (since I don't have a book-mobile to haul my collection to each game). Just a thought.

My crystal ball says check back at 12:01 am...Pacific Time. :D
Thanks for this! I have a fairly long flight happening later today and now I can spend it reading the Emerald Spire rather than, preparing my lecture or getting any work done. =D
...I probably shouldn't be so happy about that. D=

Does anyone else hope that we'll be seeing a module involving a diabolic cult opening a Hellmouth in Numeria thus enabling an invasion of cybernetic enhanced Devils (led by a particularly ambitious Pit Fiend with a rocket launcher for a arm)? ^_^
The Chapel of Rent Flesh is pretty darn close. :)
Feel free to suggest it as a module, after you read about it.

Wow, I thought I was the only one who remembered Torg...
Wonderful concept for a game, that was.

I just bought this at my FLGS today. I have yet to read it thoroughly but I want to thank everyone at Paizo for this wonderful addition to my collection. Let me make something crystal ball clear: When the first HC for Golarion came out for D&D 3E I took one look at Numeria and said "More info please"so I have been waiting a long time for this to come. I still want more but this is something my mind can really sink its teeth into. Thank all of you oh so much!

Love the art of the book, especially for Urgo Axebiter. I love the fact that Paizo made him much more threatening than the standard imbecilic look of hill giants. He looks much more hardcore badass.
Now I'm all intrigued... That Ogre in plate armor on ARG p. 229 made me smile with how seriously threatening he looked.
| Major_Blackhart |
Think of an incredibly powerfully built man wearing beautiful red armor, arms and legs exposed, with a beard, long hair, no body fat to speak of, and a monstrous greatsword. That does not look like any of the Hill Giants I've seen Paizo do before. Must be the harsh climate or something. Friggin badass.
Whereas in Giants Revisited it goes on how Hill Giants are filthy, vile, unhygienic things, this dude looks more like a powerful, proud warlord would rather than some slathering idiot giant.

I'll chime in that I agree that Urgo looks like a muscular badass as opposed to a hulking oaf. It's probably in part due to his unique undead condition (which I'm calling as being responsible for the icy-pale skin, long, forked tongue, fangs, solid-white eyes, and claws), but he still has a generally more menacing build and bearing than a standard hill giant would. I'm not seeing the beard, and I'd describe the armor more as 'battle-worn studded leather with fur trim', but I'm entirely in agreement with his being the best-looking hill giant I can think of.
