Harkening back to some PM discussion we had about Herak's mythical weaponry and items - am thinking Herak (in his world) post WW2 laid down his weapons in pursuit of post-war adventure and affairs of the heart.

Envisaged him burying said cache somewhere with personal significance to him... The Temple of Heracles, Agrigento perhaps?

He would surmise (eventually) that perhaps in this war torn reality world, such an equivalent cache may exist and remains undiscovered? As such he'd entreat Sentry to fly him there to in the hope of recovering the items and adding some extra sauce to him as a PC.

Could also ask your 'brother' Jason to fly you there ;)

'cause our brother might even be able to draw the cache across the Multiverse into the spot you think it might be, using both the spot and your divinity as realativity anchors

Just a thought ...

Kiilo, wary of what seemed to be more malice than actual evil, sends a shimmer through his wings as he prepares to sing if needed. Harming Kiilo's friends was unwise, whether they were pickle thieves or simply pickle enthusiasts wasn't relative.

That said, I have a serious question: in this campaign, I'm going to drop your characters into different universes. Some will be straight up versions of previously existing universes. Some will be strange combinations of different realities.

How is it most fun to figure out where you are and what is going on? Maggie has a useful ability to unspool some of the mysteries by knowing who literary (and comic book) characters are. So how much do you want me to obscure things and make hints until someone posts the correct answer, and how much should I tell you outright?

I love this; happy to have Jason use prayer for this too.

Jason's father answers his prayers, and Jason knows this. I mean KNOWS this. He knows that he has prayed, he knows that his prayer is like a transmission, he knows when/if his prayer makes it to Olympus, and he knows the process (he was in training with his father during a short period of every summer: he knows when a prayer is ignored).

I will work with ST to build this. Doesn't mean that Jason has a cell phone that can reach Olympus, but it would mean that he can "take the temperature" of the Olympians' status in any given universe.

Especially because he knows so very well the emptiness that comes with their deaths in his own universe.

My only other advice as a long long long term gamer is to let PF1 go; not saying there aren't instances where the system is used, but looking backwards is really only going to inhibit your progress.

Make sure the interested players for the PbP are Down With The Sickness -- either never having read the first DL novel, or can make their own PCs instead of Goldmoon, Tanis, Sturm, Raistlin, Flint, Tasslehoff and Caramon, or don't mind jumping on the old Railroad.
Yeah, I know they are railroad adventures.

Which, in itself, is in absolutely zero way a bad thing, and to be honest, probably lends itself to PbP in which sandboxes tend to collapse or implode, yet APs at least have the potential to flourish given that there's always an implicit "what's next" on the horizon

For his part, Kiilo remained as grounded as he could on the road back to Breachill, until the town was in sight that is, when he said, “Friends, I need to touch the sky. I will rejoin you soon.”

He lept up and began winging his way to the clouds.

He flew. He flew long and hard. For the rest of the afternoon into the evening when he reached Mount Sinatuk and he collapsed on its peak. He prayed. He prayed to his quiet long forgotten god Easivra, praying for the strength and the guidance he needed to carry on. He knew The Dawn Eagle would not forsake him … and he collapsed in the embrace of the sky.

When he woke, he found his power changed; he felt the divinity of Easivra within him. With a shiver that ran through the end of his wings, they then started to glow; he had never cast a spell of Light before, but this seemed to be that. Except that when he stretched out his palm, the light seemed to gather there, as though he could hurl it. This power seemed so different from his occult studies, and yet so close to his heart.

He hastened back to Breachill, delighting in the sky around him, and giving thanks. First to his patron, for bestowing this new path upon him, but also to the ever spirited Cayden, who held him up when his wings were without the sky. He needed to celebrate with his friends … and then retake the citadel.

For the record, a bodega is more like a 7-11 than a restaurant, but yeah. VERY much an east-coast NYC thing.

FROM GOOGLE
A bodega is a small corner store or market that sells groceries, wine, and other items. Bodegas are often found in Spanish-speaking neighborhoods of large cities. They are similar to convenience stores, but are more convenient than supermarkets.

Here are some characteristics of bodegas:
Size: Bodegas are usually under 300 square meters.
Cash registers: Bodegas have no more than two cash registers.
Food: Bodegas sell mostly food, but don't specialize in one item. They may sell milk, meat, eggs, and bread.
Services: Bodegas may also offer services like money transfers, lottery tickets, and prepaid phone cards.
Community centers: Bodegas can serve as community centers and supply stores.

The word "bodega" comes from Spanish and means "wine shop". It shares a root with the French word "boutique", which comes from the Greek word "apotheke", meaning "store".

Should be:

I do not remember casting Needle Darts, but I do remember refining the list when we leveled, because the progression on Phase Bolt is better.

I am "fellow player" - and my character, Konrad, is from Sandpoint.

This is possibly one of the coolest characters I have ever developed, and there have been a few, but I actually had no idea there were Prestige Class Archetypes until I started working on this. There are only TWO.

Konrad is a Thought Thief, an Arcane Trickster based on Psychic Magic.

Not a bad guy overall, any of you could have met him already. Friends with Amiko, generally fun, if a little cranky about how weird his grandfather is, and generally a little pompous about Magnimar, even if everyone knows he's a much bigger fish in a much smaller pond when he's in Sandpoint. His "specialized" skills aren't common knowledge in Sandpoint though.

Truth be told GM, this is one of the best and most satisfied groups of players I have played with it. This is some wildly solid story telling too I will add.

Why might that be? Well, because the characters are not only interacting, they are mattering; to each other. Brilliant "f*&^ing" Burnis!? Where does crap like that come from!? Only a brilliant PLAYER would have the not most smartest character and have them latch on to the alliteration of an adjective with their name: can't make that up. Kiilo would take a bullet for the guy if he knew what a bullet is.

The drunk little goblin? WTH is that!?!? Kiilo would mortgage a wing for this guy. Because he MATTERS. Not crunch, crunch isn't what matters. 1d10+4hp isn't what matters. Making sure his friend is okay matters. Being there for friends is what matters.

Kiilo is proud to have tied back his wings for this group.
