”That makes sense…” Kasit mused. ”While we will lose some, we won’t die. And I, for one, can’t buy back a life. Let’s start moving while we still can.”
The leader Guards says "I and you all have been told by control to Say with this broken trucks driver, and truck. And to send the three working trucks with a wherehouse guard each to the village, it will take them 1/2 hour and we have an hour before the storm hits. Are you saying we should just all leave?"
just to be clear
I think he was saying move some of the spice out of the truck and make room for everyone. That even if they lose some spice, no one will die. Not abandon the truck. Kasit is that right?
I'll wait for anyone else to comment, before I post in game.
Edit: How much room is in the truck? If we can all fit in the truck without moving spice we should.

Borak As you settle down in your vantage point you don’t see much for 1/2 hour then you spot them 5 sand bikes Comming your way. Looks like two riders on each
Quick question, since Borak is using the binoculars about how far are the bikes from him and about how far is he from the others.
Trying to decide if he can yell a warning, or if he should hustle back before the bikes arrive.

Sister Julia |

Are the arcs sand dunes? If so Julia is going to wait behind one of them, hoping to set up an ambush.

Kasit |

Thank you…motherboard is dead. That makes me quite sad. Need to decide whether to get a new one or to just get a new computer. Either way, it’s not good.

Sister Julia |

Re Kn Nature or Survival DC14 to know where to hide.
Julia doesn't have either skill trained so maybe she can't hide (since you can only make a DC10 check untrained). She does have a sand straw though.

Sister Julia |

Another question, roughly how far away from the truck is the guy with the rifle?

First of all, Panic, the post in game is absolutely lovely. I apologize for not posting sooner or with more grace. The quality of story you're telling certainly deserves more attention to detail on my part.
I've no excuses other than Real Life is busier now, or at least needing more attention than it has in years. Fortunately, the vast majority of it is very positive; taking classes and being involved in a couple of other creative opportunities. I knew there would be more of a demand on my time, and it's the reason I've whittled down to just seven games.
I'm glad this is one of the games I decided to stay in. Even if I'm not posting like I used to, it has been great so far.

Due to computer issues can’t move on map. But for targeting, counting green enemies left to right, as 1 to 6: dagger hits 1 and then hits 2. They are the closest to Kasit.

Børak comes up being the smuggler with the long Gun
*S6 Long gun shooter AD19 TH+10 DMG2d6 / blade TH+5 DMG1d4+1 [Alive]
And dose 13 Points of DMG, S6 drops the long gun and pulls his blade
I'm confused where the 13 came from, did the sneak not count? I'm mostly curious to know if Borak got the benefit of the 'Bewildered'. Borak's attack was
attack: 1d20 + 8 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 8 - 2 = 25 damage: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 sneak: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 5) = 6
attack:confirm, crit: 1d20 + 8 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 8 - 2 = 21 damage: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
You have the damage listed at '13' that looks like the sneak damage and the crit damage, but not the initial attack damage. Just asking to make sure we didn't miss anything.

So back on Monday I posted
Then yesterday I postedBorak was moved toward the shooter 'S6', so I'm going with it :)
Using his knowledge of Sandcraft, Borak seems to blend with the dunes as he approaches the sniper on the ridge of the dune. As the marksman lays down on the crest of the dune Borak knows that he cannot permit the rifleman to fire upon his fellows. Moving to where Dune's bright sun shines down on the back of the shooter, he shifts from the shadow of the dune, attacking the shooter with his father's blade, causing the blaster to go off prematurely.
5 ft step, surprise round, Attack, crysknife, debilitating injury
attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19 damage: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 sneak: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 3) = 4
Bewildered: The target becomes bewildered, taking a –2 penalty to AC. The target takes an additional –2 penalty to AC against all attacks made by the rogue. At 10th level and 16th level, the penalty to AC against attacks made by the rogue increases by –2 (to a total maximum of –8).
"Initiative_monkey" wrote:I am going to rule that as your Mythic Fremen I will allow you a full round action V the ambush so you get an attack as well Julia so that hist this roundHmmm if aloud a full round action, can I turn Borak's 'suprise round'(5 ft step, attack) into a full attack? It would make the first attack a 17 but should still hit with them Flat footed. Second attack for Full Attack, crysknife, debilitating injury
attack: 1d20 + 8 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 8 - 2 = 25 damage: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 sneak: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 5) = 6

I hate to ask, but did we count the damage from the attack back on Monday? It's ok if we don't change it, I just started thinking. I'm happy to attack the fellow one more time before I pick up his rifle and start shooting :)

Um, that was supposed to be a capital 'I' so It's, not, well, you know...
I'd blame AI, but honestly, I just didn't spell check...

Børak |

I am sorry I rushed that one guys, needed to get the same to a place I can pose for a few weeks. My ops on the 7th, so I hope I can be back on line soon after.
No problem Panic, it was a good scene. I'll get a post up this morning, we had the grandchildren all weekend so not a lot of time online. Hope the OP goes well.

Sister Julia |

Good luck for the OP!

Børak |

to Arrakeen, but things have now changed, as now you know someone is trying to attack you. The guard has been ordered to keep you on the paylist
Yikes! I just assumed they were after the 'spice'
How many bullets did the fellow have for his rifle?
Oh and I need to get Borak updated, I'll work on that too.

Sister Julia |

For the GM boon, Sister Julia would add 4 pts to Kn: Local and one to Kn: History.

Sister Julia |

Hope it went well!

Børak |

Sister Julia pointed out softly, "This isn't a seiche, we can't reclaim his water here..."
Didn't we get a couple of the water draining things?

Sister Julia |

If we did I missed that.

Børak |

If we did I missed that.
I may take the time to read back through, if not I'll wait for Panic to answer.
Also we can leave the prisoner with the guards, it seems like we are splitting up here, unless I misunderstood that.
Edit: Also, I believe we can use a 'hero point' to narrate draining their water, with a newly manifested plot tool.

Børak |

As you talk you hear a tue truck coming, as it gets close you see your Guard on the front. Looks like your being hauled to the Village.
I think, earlier, I may have gotten ahead of the scene and confused myself. We have been interrogating the prisoner. Did the 'sergeant' or guard commander, or person we were under, have a chance to interrogate the prisoner as well?
I don't want to kill the guy if our employers haven't had a chance to speak with him.

Børak |

I have you skill points so you can put on in drive sand bike but ride is really for worm riding
Hmm totally forgot about the 5 skill points, I will try and figure out what to do with them. But you'd said specifically that Ride Sandworm was it's own separate background skill, presumably different than 'Ride.' So we add it as its own skill, or at least I did. Borak has eleven skill points in 'Ride Sandworm,' ten points in 'Ride' and 9 points in 'Drive.' I just assumed 'Ride' fit the description, or maybe 'Drive' But does he really need a separate skill for 'drive sand bike'?
