Additionally, I can be reached on Discord if any of you are inclined. I find it can help combat the natural lulls that PbPs find occur on occasion, and I can relay details more readily as needed for individual questions. PM me if there is an interest.

Sooooooo true, and I really appreciate it. For me it is also helpful to have a way of contact where I get notifications.

The main issue I see at present is deciding if we can win a fight with the Downside Kings with just our solarian weapons. If not, then we need to figure out a way to smuggle additional weapons into the place or use other weapons to force our way past the guardians at the door.
Since we are low on cash, if we need additional items, perhaps we can spend a week of downtime and make some rolls to make additional money with various skills.
Zephyr Starrr
I'm goping to be honest, I am so confused on the cash thing; to me it seems like there is some kind of disconnect, like starting pathfinder characters all having more caltrops than they have common sense. I couldn't find anything to spend credits on in character gen, so Zeph just spent his stipend so that everyone could have an address for the next 7 days. Is there something we need? I am really confused. Everyone got 200cr that they (except for Zephyr) haven't spent. Do we need to loan each other money? I bought Zeph a skipshot pistol specifically only for subterfuge; aren't solarian weapons meant to give solarians a starting point that's equal to or better than normal armament?

I have doubts as to starting a combat inside the club. If we can somehow make it into the back then perhaps we could ol' school hobo folks we run into....

To me this is one of those "take me to your leader" moments; somewhere in the club there is an office, and if we're pushy enough, we'll get taken there, probably unguarded since they won't know that we're a viable threat
The Lost Voice
All of you raise some good points. You've seen the inside, and have a general ideal of the layout... There are several ways to accomplish your goal.
Dirk Gently.
At thought at one point during our meet with the Level 21 folks that they offered to smuggle in small arms and such?
Can we arrange that?
The Lost Voice
Less "smuggling", than "providing". They can get you a couple of pieces of weapons or equipment, but they cannot get it into the Kings' home base.
Dirk Gently.
Alright then.
So our strategy is to re-enter the club, sneak into the back and search for clues, connections, evidence, foreshadowing and, perhaps, beat Solarian style some unobtrusive gangsters without totally alerting the actual front of house as it were...
Ok!

Ok!
or do exactly what we did on Level 21 ... attract a little attention, ask some irritating questions, get taken to the Downside Kinds leadership, rough them up if we need to ... done

I think we should just return and try to get into that store room and back room and see what happens.
Fair enough - we are solarians, it's practically like being Spartan!
The Lost Voice
So what does everyone think?
- Transition post from checkout to the new accommodations?
What's the plan for the Fusion Queen? When is the return?
Dirk Gently.
Sounds good. Dirk has already checked out....
Say we return to Club that evening?

Sparks wants to force a confrontation, as he believes it will be the only way to get the information they need. His plan is to attend the club again, watch for when the door to the store room opens and determine, if possible whether it is locked. Then have everyone migrate to the door and enter the storeroom. If the door is locked, then wait for someone to enter or leave. If not locked, then just enter and deal with whatever muscle they bring to bear, hoping to win and then intimidate the leader, assuming his or her presence, to give up evidence they committed the attack on Duravor.

Zeph totally endorses this plan.

Dirk is decent at picking locks, boxes, trap doors, and anything else that he can try. His determination is only matched by his carefulness....

GM: Let us know if we need to make rolls to get in the club again, or do they recognize us as returning customers and wave us in without requiring a roll or bribe.
The Lost Voice
The bouncers are still on edge.
Please roll Diplomacy(20) or Intimidation(19) to get in without incident.
The Lost Voice
Zephyr's attempt will fall on deaf ears and violence will ensue. Do you want to treat the bouncers' first actions as a surprise round?
Dirk Gently.
Sounds fair.
@The Lost Voice would it be more efficient if you rolled our Initiatives while rolling the opponents?
Looks like we are taking in the entire gang; one bouncer at a time...errr...looks like 3..lol!
The Lost Voice
Block initiative tends to work better unless everyone is trying to resolve the fight in a day and constantly refreshing, since life happens. Considering they bracketed the initiative, they'll both go, and then it's the party's turn.
Sparks Goforth
This is going to take teamwork, since without weapons, only those who took the weapon option (vs. Armor) will have a weapon to use. Sparks chose armor, so he can only do damage when he gets 3 energy attunement points. Assuming we take out the bouncer(s), Sparks will try to snag a weapon from the help if he can.
Looks like we do this the hard way.
Sparks Goforth
Pathfinder has an action that can be performed in combat to aid an ally who is engaged in combat, either giving an ally a bonus against a certain opponent or help an allies AC. I thought this might be an option in Starfinder, but I cannot find anything in the core rules that corresponds to this.
Did Starfinder just not include this or am I missing something?
Without any weapons and since he took the Solarian Armor option rather than the weapon, he is without anything effective to do until his attunement gets to 3 when he can make an attack. Otherwise, he must just stand by and let his attunement build.
Do the bouncers have weapons that could be picked up once we take them down?
The Lost Voice
The bouncers bouncer* is armed, they are using clubs currently. You can attack using an unarmed strike, as the (nonlethal)damage will count to the total damage taken. If you can get them to drop their weapons, you can take them.
Dirk's Jolting Surge drops the bouncer Zemfira had the shield angled against. It would be an action to search them for any weapons on the body aside from the club that was dropped.
The Lost Voice
Zemfira, regarding your shield:
"...You can make unarmed attacks with your solar shield; these attacks are not archaic, and you threaten squares within your reach while it is formed. You can add solarian weapon crystals to your solar shield as if it were a solar weapon, in which case their benefits apply to unarmed attacks you make with the shield...

What's the point of having a shield as your Solarian mode if you can't whap people with it? In the words of a legendary hero: "Shield to the Face!"
Dirk: While the doors of the club are closed, the club itself is Open. The two rude individuals that are stationed outside are just curating the clientele.
Dirk Gently.
By the way, @ The Lost Voice are the Club doors currently open? I think that a former post mentioned seeing the bright lights and disorienting thumping of music?

If I may ret-con, I forgot I wanted Sparks to also check the fallen bouncer for a key card or other device(s) that might be helpful in entering the storeroom and the room beyond. If need be, he will pop back out claiming he forgot to tip the doorman and procure any such 'keys.'
No keys, but you do find an Azimuth Laser Pistol with 20 charges.

Apologies on the delay, out of town until Monday, but I'll get sometime smaller up in the interim.
Dirk Gently.
We also just returned from vacation. Hope you had a good time!
Dirk Gently.
That does sound like a good vacation.
We went South to visit family. It was a good week off work...lol.
Zephyr Starrr
In other reall life news, today was Day 3 of my return to work ... after almost a year and a half unemployed. If I'm a little spotty, discord me a heads-up? Thanks everyone.
The Lost Voice
I sent a private message with my username.
I'll advance the round today. Was holding on Zem.
The Lost Voice
Edit! He has Breach and Clear so he can move after opening the door if that helps?
That works. I'll get their responses on the next pass, since they were due to enter initiative then, anyway. Nice work on potentially preempting their action.

Hello?
It's been 2 weeks since folks posted. I get that life happens but unfortunately this game has not really gotten going.
I really wanted this game to work out. I thought the premise was fun and I really enjoy playing Dirk, but ...
The Lost Voice
Do we know if the door is locked?
The door is not locked, but it does take a {Move Action} to open or close it
