...Jakoby, just before Ro visits her, lights up a well-deserved pipe, puffing away with it cocked sideways out of her mouth while she soothes her beast.
But "quiet", it seems, is not within the cards, for suddenly out of nowhere:
"Ohmygosh you were fantastic. That big scary dragon came down and took a huge bite out of Miss Astrid and then you shot at it pew, pew and it dodged and then it puked out all that black sludge and then pew, pew, pew you shot again so fast and then it flew down and bit that man and then pew, pew, pew you shot it soooooo many times. That was fantastic." She animatedly acts out the tale as she tells it.
Reeling back from the burst of extroversion, our ulfen hero nearly drops the pipe straight from her mouth "My own Amma (grandmother) used to say "The more times you takes your shot the more times you may shoot what you shoot at"" she raises her eyebrows a few times in quick succession, to add emphasis, trying hard to meet the young ranger's energy level despite wanting to wind herself down "That ol' Knab around?" she squint in the opposite direction, and lo, he is among the healers patching up the team "Here" she hands Meadow her bow, Regicide, and yells for him...

..."Put those down - I'm going to call in that favor" smoke trails out from her nose here, curling with mischievous intent...

...with some reluctance, he wraps the bandages around the wounded pathfinder's arm, and heads over.
They have a brief chat, and he seems to protest, but she to insist, and there is some more back and forth, and at it's conclusion, he seems to droop his head low, clearly winning for himself the short stick - nay - the stout apple. Yes. a Bruorsivi Apple! Red and smokey. Jakoby points to where he is to stand, and Knab walks over to the indicated area, his facial expression somewhere between dejected and dutiful, and upon arriving...
...places the Apple on his head!
Ro & Jakoby

Meanwhile, Ro, now feeling a little better from being tended to, with equal mischief, begins flying back and forth between Necali and Silence, "tagging" them with a tiny beak prick before flying quickly away and "hiding" amid the trees, and switching into "hunting" the other, stirring the three birds, potentially (if they be game) into a wild-go-aroud, arching a wider radius from their three respective masters than usual, and leaving three different colors of plumage in their wake...
| Necalli the Hawk-Owl |
The hawk-owl is busy preening the blood from her heavily bandaged wings when Ro tags her, drawing a derisive glare from the hawk owl. Seeing his companion agitated, Amada takes a break from preparing his magical wards to speak up with a smirk. “I see someone’s feeling defensive about a lack of contribution to today’s battles. Go socialize, lazy girl;, maybe a little exercise will get you in gear for the next fight.”
Necalli ignores the elf’s suggestion, instead choosing to brood alone…
| KLATZU'S Mount, Siva |
”WRUUUUF!”
Or at least, until she is startled by a massive beast, covered in a mixture of mud, armor, viscera and debris from the storm. Before Necalli has a chance to react, the large beast begins to vigorously shake itself, causing muck to be launched onto Necalli and undoing much of her preening, followed by a sloppy lick to the back of the soiled bird. As Necalli pauses in confused shock, the four-legged beast catches sight of Ro and Silence’s game, and runs out to playfully chase the two birds, managing to keep pace surprisingly well in spite of its barding.
Freshly riled up, Necalli gives chase to the massive wolf. It doesn’t take long before the two are integrated into the game, albeit with the companions having to work around Necalli’s inability to grasp the concept of hiding as she maintains a constant role of aggressor towards the wolf.

Hearing the commotion, the elf breaks his focus to watch the playing animals for a scant few moments. Oh, it’s Siva. Wonder where her rider is? Taking a moment to scan the surrounding fight, it doesn’t take long for the elf to spot a contingent of Pathfinders outfitted in suits of kitbashed armor being led against a contingent of beaked, black-winged demons. Suddenly, a loud shout can be heard from the ranks, as a massive slab of scrap cascades upwards in the vague shape of a huge sword, before crashing down and cleaving the largest of the demons in twain. He seems to be doing fine; probably doesn’t even realize he’s missing someone. I’ll have to get a Pathfinder to lead Siva back to him once we move on.
Once we’re ready to move on, Amada will cast Invisibility from his Cloak of Elvenkind, False Life from his Wand (forgot to do it earlier, whups) and Perseis’s Precautions, all of which last 10+ minutes under the assumption we’re going right back into the heat of it. Trident and Staff of Divination will be drawn.

Heal spell won't be needed. Quinoline can repair, and outside of that, lots of spells being cast/elixirs to get everyone to full
Eliza is surprised by the sudden addition of more agents to join in the break, though she looks at the surrounding area and sees that, momentarily, the ranks have things under control. With larger shapes of monstrosities looming in the distance all around Eliza shouts, "If you're here, then make yourself useful!"
One of the original agents that came with Eliza sees Quinoline moving around with her repair kit, and sees the witch doll in ill-shape, "Over here!" he shouts. "Looks like something you can help with. I'll get you fixed up while you work". Taking no delay, the agent begins casting a combination of heal spells and handing over elixirs of life until Quinoline is in tip-top shape. the agent could also cast heal but Quinoline repaired it to full, looks like
Eliza looks over the rest of the group, then to Astrid's wounds and then to Amada's chest and arm , "Thank you all for your monumental effort and bravery so far. You've got some pretty nasty wounds there and I'm glad you were able to handle the ravener but the hardest is yet to come. We'll get you patched up and then we'll be heading further into the eye of the storm-- Scouts confirmed a ritual circle just beyond this clearing."
In the opposite direction, one of the monstrous shapes looming in the distance draws closer. The ground almost shakes with each step. Eliza turns to look, "This can't be good." she says, and distantly you can hear Eando's voice shouting "REGROUP!! WE MUST PROTECT THE PRIMARY TEAM"
Eliza continues, "Jung Mei, Knab, the rest of you. We're heading back to assist Eando. Finish up what you're doing. There's little time to delay!" Eliza looks back to the group, "We'll have your back and keep the area clear of threats. You focus on disrupting the ritual. Before you go... this should help..." she then casts a 3rd level anticipate peril on each of you.
Everyone is at full HP, and you've had 10 minutes since combat has ended. You have reason to believe you're heading into another combat in short order. If you're taking any final preparations before setting off then now is the time to make them. (and if it is anything that takes time, then retroactively that could be done during the 10 minute break)

Quinoline will offer her 4.2 ± 1.1 HP/ml [some non-alchemists may refer to it colloquially as "greater"] elixir of life to Astrid - and if Astrid declines, Greezgux, then descending order of melee-itude.
She also has a few left over from crafting when she was younger and less adept at crafting. They're 1.7 ± 0.7 HP/ml ["lesser"], but they're very useful for emergencies.
She doesn't need to carry any premade ones with her - she can always craft a few on the fly, although the ones she can make usually titrate at 3.0 ± 0.9 HP/ml ["moderate"].

Jakoby points to where he is to stand, and Knab walks over to the indicated area, his facial expression somewhere between dejected and dutiful, and upon arriving...

Meadow looks at the bow in her hand, then to the apple upon Knab's head and back again before realization strikes her and she turns to gape at the ulfen ranger. "Waitaminute! You want me to shoot the apple off of his head? What if I miss? I'm pretty good but I dunno..." She ponders for a moment before grinning and stepping up to take the shot.
The arrow flies and though it isn't a clear direct hit it does manage to inflict a glancing blow. The apple wobbles for a moment before slowly falling off of Knab's head.
Meadow literally jumps for joy. "I did it! I did it!"
She hands the bow back to Jakoby with a huge grin on her face.

Eliza quickly departs to rendezvous with Eando Kline. The party then ventures further into the eye of the storm until a short while later the group enters a clearing consumed by flame and surrounded by ablaze trees.
A fiery ritual circle, almost eighty feet in diameter, rises two feet from the ground. Small sigils inside the circle further illuminate its interior. An inky black pit at the center of the circle leads into the bowels of the earth. Even looking at the pit invokes a sense of wrongness and vertigo. Outside the circle, five blazing rune are visible, each with trolls bound by iron chains to stand above them. Tendrils of lightning-filled smoke tie the five sigils to a spectral figure hovering in the air above the rift in the earth.
The spirit speaks, its voice booming above the blaze. “You lesser creatures have hounded me at every turn, but you’re too late! The great Urxehl shall rise and restore us to our rightful place as rulers of this world. You will rue the day you dared to defy me! Now die, and let your souls feed my ritual!”
Eando, Eliza, and Nelket can be seen grouping behind you as they prepare to fight off massive demons closing in....

Jakoby would know that these are obviously some sort of trolls and likely would have the usual regeneration unless damaged by fire. Visually they are also chained by the legs to the ground but their claws are free-moving.
@Amada, Got the invis, thanks. And going to say no on the Hunt Prey on the way up - this area is surrounded by trees and before that the Spirit wasn't visible or trackable. Acting before the Spirit narratively would be while the spirit is talking. So winning initiative here is essentially just walking in on this and immediately getting to business.

Quinoline, did, in fact, read all about Urxehl's rumblings back in Arodus 4719. Or at least she thinks she did....It was a while ago that she read it but there was one source book that described demoniac spirits devoted to Urxehl that had incredible defenses -- not only resistant to all damage but also had some kind of negative energy barrier that would lash out against attackers. Of course, being incorporeal their usual resistance is not effective against ghost touch, force, or positive dmg.
Quinoline's acid bomb hits the Green troll and coats it in acid that burns its flesh--preventing any kind of regeneration for the time being Hit, 6 acid+2d6 persist acid
The green troll then begins to thrash against its chains and strike at Zac. The first claw swipe misses but the 2nd slices into Zac's armor. The third attempt is less successful miss, then hit Zac for 22. Then miss. The acid still clings to the trolls skin, burning it further with no sign of wearing off failed recovery vs persist acid; 4 acid dmg
The other trolls also thrash against their chains but seem firmly in place. It is fairly clear though that the runes can be disabled with the trolls guarding them.

1 action to activate bracelet and 2 more actions to doublemove. Actually I don't want to provoke from the troll, so I stop 10 feet short of it. Next round I plan to step which doesn't provoke, and then attack.

3d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 3) = 8

When Amada fails to disable the rune, he's wracked with mental anguish as some sort of baclkash from the rune 9 mental damage
Astrid's attempt to disable the rune's is almost successful-- if only she understood the cyclopean language in which they are written! The rune backlashes against Astrid 8 mental damage. Her shield boss bashes into the green troll with with a great deal of force and leaving it bloodied. Crit for 18, "bloodied"
The Spirit continues to float in the center of the circle and abyssal energy begins to attack the minds of Amada, Astrid, and Greezgux. It seems the spirit in intimately aware of where Amaada is. DC 30 basic will save or take mental damage (Amada 15 dmg, Astrid 13 dmg, Greezgux 30 dmg). Each time someone is focused by this mental attack, the electrically charged connection between the Southern (white) rune and the Spirit surges with intensity.

One of her arrows seems to fly true - she watches carefully to observe it's impact, if any, on her ghostly prey...
