After looking over my option, I don't think I can create a statistically likely situation where I can kill the Pink Shadow Demon myself, so next best thing is to remove the threat from the combat so that you can focus on the remaining combatants.

Strengthening his temporary control of his body, the elf shouts, "Necalli, assist Astrid! Take out those creatures at the vanguard, I'll back you up shortly!"

After the bird rounds the pillar as per his orders, Amada turns to his own allies. "If I go unconscious, I trust you'll be able to get me back up; help the others and then deal with me after." Giving them a brief nod, the elf rushes past them onto the ledge.

As Amada balances on the cliff, the elf dons a shaky grin. If you like my body so much, how about we go for a ride, fellow traveler? Then, with somewhat shaky step, the elf falls off of the walkway, arms outstretched in freefall. Fall, 48'. 24 Bludgeoning Damage reduces me to 1HP and Prone, 12 damage to the Shadow Demon.

Landing with a loud crunching of bone, the elf coughs up a bit of blood before wiping his smiling mouth. Now we're both stuck down here. Your move, wretch; have fun using this cripple's body.

"Is that an Epic Poem you got there, Captain Astrid?" noting the rolled parchment.

"Maybe you could read it to us so we may draw from it some inspiration!" her red eyes giving away perhaps the playing of such lyrics in her own imagination as the party prepares to cross the threshold into the next room...

Quinoline carefully picks apart a path through the caltrops.

    Thievery (Disable Device), Infiltrator Tools: 1d20 + 15 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 15 + 1 = 30

Arriving at the broken masonry, Quinoline mumbles something about disposable culture and how people don't repair things any more.

"And NO SAXOPHONE IMPRESSIONS!" she yells at Astrid, seemingly randomly.

    Crafting, Eyepiece: 1d20 + 19 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 19 + 1 = 38

Without any flapping arms, Quinoline makes quick work of the repairs.
