It's pretty embarrassing.
Eadie Navhelan |
Guys, I am running out of resources, and also want to end the game on a HIGH note.
Our APL by Core RuleBook (not PFS): 10 + 11 + 10 + 10 + 10 + 11 = 62/6 + 1 = 11
Glabrezu CR 13 APL+2 Hard
2 x Hezrou CR 13 APL+2 Hard
Dragon CR 14? APL+3 Epic
I guess I’m wondering when the game is likely to finish and whether we’ve already done enough, with two hard fights and one epic fight, GM Batpony?
GM Batpony |
Eadie brought up a good point which I was going to do right after I resolve the downtime post confusion.
Woundwyrm was a CR15 and the last creature is a CR14
The scenario looks to be able to wrap up by this Friday based on the success rates. You might not have seen it, but because of the differences in end game contribution, we've been the highest contributor to securing end game conditions so far, though I think the other high tiers might be overtaking. Also your success is more prominently felt in the lower table due to the interactions between tiers. So all in all you've done a really good job!
Our captain has made it clear that if folks need to take a step back, flee, save themselves, start doing so because the war is clearly looking to be in favour of humankind and the horde will be pushed back soon.
So I will leave it to the table if you wish choose to fall back to fortify defences, or take one last push to take out one more of the mighty demon generals.
Unnvar the Solemn |
Unnvar will always choose one more fight...but won't resist if the rest of the group wants to fall back.
Torrag Grimm |
I'm good either way. I've still got resources for another encounter, but if we want to call it I'm ok with that too.
Emberwik |
If we are going in for one more fight, I will cast one last Greater Path of Glory to top everyone off if we need healing 40+.
GM Batpony |
Hey guys, we only have 2 days and it's going to be difficult to pull off a full combat. Shall we call it?
Rudzik |
To be fair, I don't know of any combat that has lasted for more than 2 rounds. I'm fine either way, but I will point out I have these three holy arrows left...
GM Batpony |
That is true! I'm happy to continue as well, but need a clear direction if the party wants to, it seems like 1 strong vote to end it on a high, and 1 not so strong let's fight, and 3 ok with anything.
Doctor Meiosa |
Meiosa is more than happy with her harvest quota, but her big buffs are active and there's always room for more specimens! Consider my vote a "sure why not" since we gotta keep up our lead!
Torrag Grimm |
Let's do one more. This is Torrag's last scenario. He'll be level 12 after this and I'm going to retire him.
Unnvar the Solemn |
Fight, Fight, Fight! :-)
Emberwik |
Lets f*** something up!
GM Batpony |
Alright! I'll get the post up as soon I get off work. Sorry bout the delay. This week is an especially busy week for me. I'm moving half way across the world to texas for work, and this week I'm wrapping up both my local groups so trying to end it on a bang!
Unnvar the Solemn |
Thanks Batpony for accommodating us!
Texas, eh. Which part are you headed to.
GM Batpony |
It's a work move. So from Malaysia heading to midland, west texas! Just a 30 hour commute. If you haven't guessed from the obscure location, I work with oil and gas.
GM Batpony |
I'm going to roll for everyones boon when this post locks. The order will be GM and then alphabetical based on PC's alias name.
GM Batpony |
GM: 1d20 ⇒ 5
Doctor Meiosa: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Eadie: 1d20 ⇒ 18
Emberwik: 1d20 ⇒ 7
Rudzik: 1d20 ⇒ 8
Torrag: 1d20 ⇒ 1
Unnvar: 1d20 ⇒ 6
No winners, sorry guys..
GM Batpony |
Unfortunately we're not even close to finishing this combat! Swarms are a tricky one since they take no weapon damage and have SR. And.... we'll be wrapping up very shortly, thanks everyone for your hard work! Sorry we could not get that last combat finished before the conclusion!
Rudzik |
Given that we have an alchemist and a wizard, we probably have enough AoE stuff to clean up the swarms eventually.
Unnvar the Solemn |
No worries that we didn't finish it off; always nice to fight the big bad on the cover! So I was glad to get a glimpse at that craziness.
Thanks Batpony for a job well done! Great job running it, and best of luck on your move to Texas! If you make it to any stateside conventions like GenCon or Origins be sure to let me know.
Fellow Pathfinders it's been a pleasure fighting beside such an awesome crew! My thanks and Cheers to All!
Rudzik |
Indeed! I know Rudzik and Eadie will be going to Hell together soon, but hopefully we'll see each other at another table sometime!
Eadie Navhelan |
Thanks so much for running, GM Batpony!
Excellent game with a really good group.
Until next time, guys! Though Antonella will weave her way through a tapestry with GM Batpony soon.
And Rudzik? "I'll see you in H∃ll!"
GM Batpony |
Thanks everybody for being such great and accomdating players! I'll be preparing the chronicles over the weekend, but if you need it earlier please let me know and I'll get it down ASAP!
Doctor Meiosa |
Thanks for running, Batpony. I had a great time playing with everyone! I'd say it was a pretty great run as my first ever PFS play by post.
It's been a privilege.
Torrag Grimm |
Thank you everyone, especially Batpony who did a fantastic job running this scenario, especially while moving half way around the world.
Awesome job!
Emberwik |
Absolutely loved this one. Thanks for GMing! :D
Unnvar the Solemn |
That would be sweet! I'm right now planning to do Friday to Sunday @Gencon this year. Tons of tips -- will share more later. Accommodations wise at this point you are probably looking at North Indy, which isn't too bad. The earlier you can get downtown each day the better parking you can get.
GM Batpony |

Chronicles uploaded here! Let me know if there are any correction to be made! I'll keep this thread open for the next 48 hours for you to pick up the chronicles and highlight corrections before I close it!
Unnvar the Solemn |
Looks good GM --- thanks again, Great job running it!
