Hi, everyone, I have an exciting announcement. The trial of Bonekeep in Play by Post was successful, so we now have permission to run Bonekeep in Play by Post! The details can be found here.
If you have any questions about the special rules that apply, please send me a private message, either here or on Discord. Please note that the general rule that GMs can only run one special (either multi-table or single table) at a time also includes these scenarios.

Bonekeep is a special that 4+ star GMs can run. It has a...deadly... reputation. There are three parts to it that can be run individually or as a series.

![]() |

Does it count as a requirement for a fifth star? If so, I might have a go at it. I got three games I'm GMing about to finish and wondering what to have a go at next.

![]() |

Haven't played it but I could make this an exception to my "Play before you run" rule if there is enough interest.

![]() |
I would add that Bonekeep has a reputation for being really hard for unprepared parties.

I was in the recent high tier PbP run of Bonekeep 1.
We prepared :)
It was still tough.
That's the appeal of Bonekeep - it is a degree more difficult than most PFS scenarios, by deliberate design, and thus presents a challenge all of its own.
I'm very glad that the series been authorised for PbP now.

Jon Compton ran my first Bone Keep. It was at a Con and was a PUG. I did not know what I was getting into. We had a new player playing a pre-gen cleric and a Magus who only cast Magic Missile and stayed in the back. Good times. I died. lol. Two other characters died. Cleric and Magus managed to run out and live. I did go down fighting.
Was much better prepared for II and III. Still had character deaths at each table though.

We need to get someone to run part two for us now!
Pau is a little traumatized, but he’d be up for the second part anytime!

I'll do part 2 in core.. but maybe in a month when my number of games drops down a little.

Announcement!
As most of you have noticed over the last couple of years the Cayden’s Keg VTT Discord server has had an ever growing PbD group. With this we have decided to add a new member to the team. Please welcome Fi to the VO team! Fi will be serving as the PbP VA for Cayden’s Keg Discord Server. She has been doing a ton of great work and tracking over there and also volunteered to assist with running the PbP Duties and responsibilities during PaizoCon Online this year.
Please welcome Fi and send out plenty of congratulations!

If anybody else is mildly annoyed about the weird website glitch (where your reaction to a post is somehow displayed above the post you are reacting to) and wants to report it:
I opened a thread in website feedback - feel free to post your experience and examples. The more, the better! ;-)

VC Tyranius, are there boon rolls for the Outpost V PbP convention?
If so, are we clear to begin rolling for these, even if we have a wee way to go to getting our games finished?

Indeed there are (Only for PFS1E as SFS and 2e get extra AcP):
Outpost V Boon Package:
PFS1E: GM Boon: Choose 1 (Grippli / Skinwalker / Catfolk) or (Triaxian / Lashunta / Android)
PFS1E: Player Boons (19-20 wins) (Traveler of an Unstable Timeline) | (Share the Wealth: Companions) | (Expedition Manager)

They keep having daughters that they have people marry into the family for. One can only assume some magic keeps the suiters coming.

Thanks! How can I filter to only see the PbP games?
Edit: found it! Four 1st edition Blakros family games. :-)
In case others were interested
The easiest way to filter is I made three separate venues based on location of the PbP Games. They are at the bottom of the venue listing when you look at the schedule.
PbP Discord
PbP Mythweavers
PbP Paizo
You can sort by clicking on one of the venues and then you can sort further by choosing your campaign type (1E, 2E, SFS)

I have gamed with supervillan and Evil Minion this way, so I’m going to try once more.
This is an unabashed plug for the Standard (non-core) #4-09 Blakros Matrimony (3-7) game I am running via VTT as a part of PaizoCon Online, this coming Friday evening (US Pacific time)
If you are interested the date, times and details are in the sign-up link on Warhorn >> Here <<
Please bring Physical Dice or your Fave Dice Roller to the game!
Google Slides for Virtual Table Top
Discord for Voice
VTT games put you in contact with a new segment of potential friends, and a multitude of different gaming opportunities (possibly including full Adventure Paths)

(I'm kidding that they aren't a great GM, I just like teasing people.)

Not to pile on, but YiM does a fantastic job immersing characters in a believable world (with a larger continuity). It is clear he invests a great deal of time and research into his runs.
And not to flex, but I shared a table with him at PiazoCon a few years ago. Oh, the GM? None other than GM Hmm.
That was a great time.
Well deserved praise my brother.

I will also jump into the puppy pile and declare GM YiM amazing. I was lucky enough to get at his table last year (with a very subpar PC I might add) and he truly brought out the halfling in me, and reminded me that it is best to play the part, regardless of a character's flaws... and that flaws can be what's the most fun in a character.
As for his immersive GMing, I wholeheartedly agree. He appears to have a mastery of Golarion's geography, history, and seems to be able to translate its various cultures into something we can understand as modern folks of the digital age.
Simply amazing!
Regards,
PDK

Greetings, Pathfinders!
After a couple years of playing PbP here on Paizo, it's about time I step up to GM! With all of the wonderfully helpful GMs & players I've played with so far, I feel that I am finally comfortable enough with running a game.
I read through the "Creating a Play by Post on Paizo" slides, but, I still have some questions.
When "Creating an Event" for reporting, do I create my own event or is there a special Event Number for Paizo PbP that I use? Can I use the Event Number I use for reporting games at my local Denver lodge?
When I create my thread for the game, how & where does it let me know where to post the links for my maps & handouts?

1. Yay!
2. I created my own event, but there's an Online Support Program that you can report through.
https://onlinesupportprogram.com/index.html
Pros: You get boons, as if you were part of a lodge; and someone else reports for you.
Cons: Reporting is done by someone else, so there are no double checks.
3. When you create a thread for your game, you need to link the thread to a campaign. When the thread is linked to a campaign, there will be a Campaign tab that allows you to put in a "Short Description" and a "Long Description" - the maps and handouts go in the Short Description.

Much as Water Soup said, you're free to make your own reporting event. Flaxseed (to my knowledge) doesn't have its own special reporting number so I think most PbP GMs have created and report their games to their own events, sans any games run as part of our online conventions.
And yes, your campaign 'blurb' would go under the 'Full Description' section and links to maps and such go in the 'Short Description' tab.
