Ah .... November. For some reason I thought it was this month. Thanks.
@Nightdeath: What level? Core?

![]() |
Level 1-5. I got a couple of them.
I do have CORE characters though I haven't looked at their levels. lol.

![]() |

I've got a Core PC I haven't started yet even so the number was reserved nearly ten years ago.

![]() |
ten years? that's long.
how long ago was CORE? I can't remember at all.

I think if someone expresses discomfort with a scenario for any reason, we should respond with compassion and not try to push them to do something they're not comfortable with. Please just accept their discomfort and move on.
What I said IS a compassionate response; there is A LOT of bad advice concerning anxiety right now, and having spent a lifetime as a study-object - and nearly as long as a student - of psychology, I would know as well as anyone.
Life is inherently uncomfortable. A website that's nasty to anyone for showing the slightest hint of "weakness" or reluctance is one kind of toxic environment; a website where people rush to shelter others from the slightest discomfort or fear - or even from someone else suggesting they do otherwise, without even making certain the original individual wanted such intercession! - is another.
The fact that no fewer than 2 people other than the individual I was addressing (John Woodford's response was really just to Redelia, so that doesn't count) came in to argue with me before soulnova could even say anything in response, itself strikes me as a little 'off'. I am not soulnova's therapist (as far as YOU know, at least), but you and Redelia are not her lawyers (as far as I know).
Please just accept their discomfort and move on.
Is there some reason you couldn't apply similar advice to your own perceived need to intervene? All I did was give honest advice; does it not strike you as a bit extreme to imply I was not "responding with compassion"?
In fact, does it not strike you as odd that we are even talking about this with regards to a game? Thing is, if I am the one saying something like this, that is pretty strong evidence that something's gone too far. These days I've often found myself thinking about the bleak future portrayed in H. G. Well's Time Machine, with its binary populace of savage Morlocks and helpless Eloi. No adventurers native to that world, that's for sure.

Yes.
Just in case OP was feeling bullied by your response--which seemed possible to me--I wanted to make sure that OP knew they had an ally.
No more, no less. And that's all I'll have to say about it.

This is exactly the kind of pathology I was worried about; I don't know where or why or by whom you were trained to think this way, but this is, frankly, beyond the pale.
You would never have thought this before circa 2014, and trust me, you still shouldn't. It is an ill-advised fad that will not be remembered fondly in 10 years.

@I'm Hiding in Your Closet
@Zin Z'arin
@anyone else who thinks they need to jump in and start swinging for the fences
This conversation is now at an end.
While I appreciate that everyone has their opinions on the subject, the fact of the matter is that conversations like this are not productive in any way. Once a conversation devolves to the point of insults (well versed or not), all utility has been wrung from them.
The fact is that the OP made an observation that they may not feel comfortable with something. Suggestions were made that might help, and then the conversation devolved. This is not the place for that. I am not here to point fingers or ban people from the server (yet). I am simply saying, as a Venture-Lieutenant, that this conversation is now over. If you'd like to continue it, I am sure you can find a venue better suited.
If the OP would like to solicit more information on gameplay and how that affects them, they are welcome to do so in another thread or forum.

Does anyone know how to hide a campaign from your active campaign list. The game just fizzled out.

If you hide the Gameplay thread in the Play-by-Post forum, it'll keep it off your list for a couple of months. In the meantime, you can contact Customer Service or one of the online VOs and have them set the campaign inactive.

I made step-by-step instructions (with pictures!) if that’s more helpful. XD

Done. and thank you all who answered. I wondered what Focus did. Now what about Flatten?

In the Gameplay IX tread, someone expressed a concern that there wasn't much low level PFS1 stuff going on and there was not much low level play offered. Since my Gameday PFS1e game I am GMing is about to finish, I'd like to do something about that.
So, whoever is in the position of only having low level PFS1e characters, please let me know what level, and if they are CORE or non-CORE, and I'll see what I can come up with to GM.

Hey everyone! I'm slowly getting back into the groove of this PbP thing thanks to @Redelia. I'm also totally clueless about paizo.com since I haven't been here in a very long time.
I'm kicking around a little GMing experiment... Does anyone have a list of the sanctioned material beyond the PFS scenarios? Including level ranges if possible?

Along the right-hand side of the Additional Resources page is a link to chronicle sheets for all of the sanctioned modules, quests, etc. The section dealing with Adventure Paths in the main body of the page includes chronicle sheets for the sanctioned Adventure Path content as well.

GM Redelia |

Gameday GMs, please make sure to read carefully this important announcement and reminder.

Players are allowed to freely rebuild their PC until they apply a chronicle that levels them up to 2. If a player received a race boon, can they rebuild a level 1 PC using that race boon, or is the race boon only allowed to be the first chronicle sheet? (i.e. after applying just one scenario chronicle sheet, no race boons would be allowed for that PC?)

GM Redelia |

The rule is actually that you can rebuild until you play at level 2 or higher. Just applying a chronicle sheet does not lock in the character.
Yes, you can apply a race boon during that rebuild, and yes, it needs to be first in order. This may mean calling it sheet number 0.

Right so, after TPKing a CORE party in Bonekeep level 2, I did an even worse thing. When I did the reporting, didn't mark the game as Core. So in the online system the characters are no longer showing Core. Now I fixed my bit of reporting, but the characters are no longer Core.
There was a process we could go through to fix this, but I can't recall who we had to speak to in order to get it done.
Help!
This was apparently fixed, however, in my PC's Sessions Tab, my Core PC is still showing:
"Character is incorrect organized play type PFSRPG for table of type PFSPFC."
Any way to get my PC switched back to Core?

My PC in that game has the same message for Bonekeep, but they're still listed as a Core character.

Same here (also from this table). I messaged Tyranius today about it.

I spoke with N'ya and gave them an email to report the game itself to get fixed. I can fix individual characters but unfortunately I can't do much with games for events I am not a reporter to.
I can see the information, I just can't edit it.

Is that something GM Aerondor can fix by editing the session?

![]() |

I've already done that. Like about 30s after I realised I got it wrong. From my reporting end, it shows up as a core game.
About the only thing I can think of it to delete the session and then recreate it. But I'm not sure what other impacts that might have on a somewhat...fragile.. system.

If you have not done so already please have your games reported in by the 20th for Gameday XI so we can close out this Convention and begin prepping and working on the next. :)

Ah, I fondly remember Nostalgiacon. They just don't do cons like that, anymore.
