I have only played/GM'd nine of the scenarios on your list.
Keeping that in mind, I thoroughly enjoyed playing:
10.02 Bones of Biting Ants (colourful characters, awesome opportunities for roleplay, and a minor mystery to figure out)
10.08 What Prestige is Worth. If you have any interest in how another person envisions a 'civilised' city in Pathfinder's version of Hell I would recommend this one.
City of Strangers Part 1. There is a controversial NPC in this one. But if you can put that issue aside, a GM with a sense of humour, and good at describing unusual urban landscapes can make this an enjoyable romp for her players.

@Novel Enigma: it makes me feel a touch better that one of the two characters I had in mind for All for Immortality (if I ever do it) is a cleric. Not a dedicated healer, but fairly multi-role-ish.
@Watery Soup: it helps that you point out that 10-16 is a quest scenario. Those weren't my favorites. I liked the repeatables in the style of From the Tome of Righteous Repose much better & if the campaign had gone longer would have loved to see a 7-11 repeatable in that style.
I'd already heard good things about 7-21 The Sun Orchid Scheme and 10-02 Bones of Biting Ants from others but it's good to get confirmation on those. Some other good information as well.
Thank you for the replies!

All For Immortality is where my life oracle had to cast greater restoration in combat. Good times.

I wish I could say more about my experience, but it would probably give away too much that you could prepare for. I will say that if we had someone able to restore hit points, we would have eventually won the last fight, but we didn't, so we lost in a war of attrition basically.
In an earlier part, maybe 2, there was an enemy we had to get very creative to kill as it was resilient to most of our standard tactics. Great series in my opinion.

Now I'm curious about this module... :)

So. According to the Archives of Nethys, the contact entity spells became illegal at some point - what is one supposed to do with characters who learned those spells (or any other with fluctuating legality) back when they were legal?

I'm not sure those spells were ever legal. But sometimes Nethys doesn't update as quickly as Additional Resources and Nethys has been plain wrong on occasion.
In any event, the character has to be made legal so you swap the spell for a legal choice before the character is played again. Any potions, scrolls or wands that use the spell must be sold back (full price, proportional to charges remaining if appropriate).
See pages 8-9 of the Season 10 Guide.

I see a few names on that list I recognize.

From the latest guide.
"FACTION JOURNAL CARDS
To represent the faction’s presence in the Society,
each has a Faction Journal Card. Each card details the
faction’s goals, the rewards for assisting the faction,
and a list of objectives that they can achieve during
play. Use of the cards is optional for each character.
Season 10 Faction Journal Cards and detailed instructions
for fulfilling faction goals are available online at
paizo.com/pathfindersociety/rpg/journalcards."
So season 10 is available but no mention of being restricted to season 10. Is there mention of the restriction elsewhere?
Grandmaster TOZ |
Probably in a previous guide.
Edit: Nope, in the faction card download itself.
The organized play campaign releases Faction Journal Cards to reflect each faction’s evolving goals and its ties to the current season’s objectives
at the beginning of each season. A PC joining a faction can acquire only the most recent version of a faction’s card; however, a PC who has
checked at least one box on an earlier season’s faction card may still continue to fulfill its goals and earn its rewards even into the new season.
Goals completed on previous Faction Journal Cards do not contribute to those on the new card, except as noted below.

Congrats on the 5th Star Blazej!
Congrats! Welcome to the island!
With that...with a nearly (almost) 2 year hiatus from GMing PFS (GMburnout and injury and COVID fatigue/blues/running other systems) in person and on the boards PbP I've decided to return and run a CORE mod for NostalgiaCon!

Reposting in Discussion:
For anyone looking for it:
Here is the PFS1 additional resources document.
(I do wish that there was an easy to find link on the website - I saved this via a list a while ago).
The sanctioned modules are all listed, along with links to their chronicle sheets and special rules. This is where you find out which allow Campaign Mode - the special rules will say if they do.

Thanks, supervillan. It's mostly clear now.
One extra question for the crowd. I am looking at the PFS Guild Guide, and it states:
STEP 2: EXPERIENCE POINTS (XP) Each time you play an adventure, your character will receive experience points (XP). Typically, you gain 1 XP for a completing Pathfinder Society scenario or 3 XP for completing a sanctioned module or Adventure Path. Characters advance 1 level for every 3 XP they earn, regardless of advancement track.
'Typically', caught my eye. Are there other cases? If so, where can they be found? I understand the last part of Everflame can be quite dangerous for a level 1 party. Is this intended?
I must admit I have several dozens of scenarios reported as a GM, but I usually do modules outside of PFS, so this is new to me.

And sometimes you might join halfway through a module and get reduced xp.
At least that used to be the case.

Hey GMs -- I've noticed that I am suddenly getting a lot of share requests for the PBP GM Kit. It should be able to be publicly viewed, so I am wondering if people are having trouble accessing it.
Can you let me know if you can still navigate there?
Thanks!
Hmm
GM Hmm |
Thank you!
Okay, then I will just ignore all requests for editing privileges on the PBP GM Kit. If the VOs want to add people, that's fine. But I really want to keep the number of people with editing privileges a reasonable number. There is too much good stuff there that I do not want to get lost!

@Hmm... I did send a request to be able to edit your PbP Template. I just realized, though, that if I do edit it, it would change on your side as well. Is there a way for me to copy it all so that I can edit my own version? I'm still trying to figure out how to use Google Slides.

If you have it open, you should be able to click File > Make a Copy. That will create a duplicate of it that you own and that you can edit w/o changing the original.

GM Hmm wrote:Can you let me know if you can still navigate there?I don’t doubt EwokBanshee can get in, but just letting you know that it IS denying me access to View Publicly without requesting access.
Okay, so I think I now know what the problem is. The PBP GM Kit link is via tinyurl, which never expires. But Google thinks that the link has expired. So new GMs are having trouble getting in and old GMs who have already accessed it can get in just fine.
So here is the direct google link for the PBP GM Kit
It is a very long link. I will let Tyranius and Redelia and Co decide if they want to put that in the headers of the various lodges, or if we want to just start up a new tinyurl or what. Meanwhile, looking at it, it looks like we should do a reorganization of the darn thing! I have a freelance deadline and the holidays swooping down on me, but I'll try to get to it in January.
Hmm

I just tried the direct Google link below, and got an error page indicating I don't have access. It is not just a tinyurl problem.
Here is the text of the error message:
You need access
Ask for access, or switch to an account with access.

Well that is nuts. I set the darn thing to viewable by anyone with a link... How do I get you all to be able to view the link? I'm mildly furious about this.
Does this Link work differently?
Let me know if that works.
Hmm
PS Please excuse my grumpiness here. I do try not to lose my cool, but right now I wish that I could bang Google's new security measures with a large wrench until it starts working again.

UPDATE:
I have since discovered that Google is blocking all new users no matter what link they come on. If you sent me an access request, I have now authorized a bunch of access requests, and I am trying to figure out how to kick google folders into submission.
GM Hmm |
Okay, I spent some time kicking it furiously.
Can someone who has never looked at the GM Kit nor requested access please click here?
I want to know if my kicking was successful.
