Does anyone have a breakdown of the loot, especially what we could sell/trade? Vash will probably plow his earnings into his business (and maybe grab some specialty arrows in return), though if there are wands he can afford to replenish his supply, he would consider that instead.

I'm still working on leveling up as well. There is an outdated link to a treasure file on the campaign info tab. Once we get a breakdown of our current loot and split, Harmini could make an effort to craft something if needed. She has Craft Wondrous Items at the moment and I'm planning on taking Craft Magic Arms and Armor at 7th lvl.

Talalmackk, are we still using the downtime system rules from ultimate campaign like last time?


I have updated the treasure list for what has been gained. I am not 100% sure if some of this was claimed, so if there seems to be something that you know you took, please let me know and I will make sure it is adjusted.

I did not list the new khopesh that Teos gained, nor the circlet of persuasion that I believe Harmini gained as well.

EDIT:There are some items on the list that are "gifts" from some of the local people that will be explained further in the game play in the next day or so. I just wanted to make sure they were on the list for you to consider.


I do want to discuss one thing. I had meant to mention this before as it is a change to how I was originally running things, but I feel it is part of the shared experience of the game. From now forward, I will need the group to maintain the list of treasure they collect and distribute. I am open to suggestions on how to do this, but I do feel that this should be the responsibility of the players. Feel free to discuss further. Thanks.

Lady Harmini, thank you so much for putting this together for us!

Vash could use the amulet, but would rather Lady Harmini have it for her protection. If we find another one, though, maybe then. He will perhaps take an alchemist's fire and a holy water, then spend the bulk of his money having his armor and shield enchanted to +1 (2000 gp), with some leftover used to put into his business (and perhaps take some of his personally crafted arrows in exchange, or craft them himself during downtime--either way. Say 6 adamantine arrows?)

Would anyone like any wondrous items crafted?

Right now, Harmini is planning to spend 2 days crafting herself a headband of aerial agility +2 and 2 days teaching Alabaster some new spells. Otherwise, she could probably craft any wondrous item you could afford in 2 days.

Just me know as well as if you want any unclaimed items. I guess Harmini can keep the amulet of natural armor +1. Vash has claimed 1 holy water and 1 alchemist fire so far. If we sell all unclaimed magic items that will result in another 1143g, 7s, 5c per PC. Harmini could easy craft another amulet of natural armor +1 for 1000g and 1 day.

Nimaethep is interested in the ushtabi, it seems useful and as an embalmer and follower of Anubis, particularly appropriate as well. However it is also the most expensive piece of treasure we have. Nimaethep is willing to compensate the party from her share of the money.

The hand is interesting, though kind of gruesome. She will pass on that.
She has no use for the mail.

Do we know how many days of downtime we have? Considering we just fought for the privilege of defending the city, wouldn't we be going out to track down the source of the problems the next day?

If Harmini can take Vash's holy symbol and magic it up to +1 natural armor with 1000 gp from him, that would be awesome.

Well, actually I need a very specific item before I advance to my next level. As Teos is hoping to become a living monolith, he needs to have a special scrab created, a Ka Stone. Not too sure if he needs to do this himself or not, but thought it might make a good roleplaying opportunity.

To Nima, downtime is available as need. I would say no more the a week or two but no one will be pushing you story wise at this point.

To Vash, it is my personal experience that crafting mundane things takes way too much time overall, and there are no clear rules on crafting special material items (what is the DC to craft an adamantine arrow?), so my suggestion is to simply buy them at regular cost. But if you wish to spend the time crafting them we can discuss it, but I have never seen the math work out except with an alchemist and taking the master alchemist feat.

To Teos, The Ka Stone is not clear in it's crafting requirements, other than the cost. Harmini could just as easily craft it as anyone else (but it won't reduce the cost). My bigger question is how to meet the requirement of the ritual. I will look into it, I assure you. For now we can say during downtime you work with a gemcutter to get it crafted and work on finding someone to perform the ritual. Does that work?

@Talalmackk, I was thinking that Vash has an inventory of pre-made arrows in his store and he can just effectively buy from his own shop at wholesale price (crafting cost) as opposed to retail. Totally your call though.

Sorry Vash, that is not something I am comfortable with on it's face. If you wish to use the rules for developing a business to earn income, and use the money earned via that to offset the cost of the arrows we can discuss, but the investment in the business will have be done and it won't just simply allow access to gear at crafting cost.

That’s fair. The business is somewhat abstract as part of the background anyway. I will modify the coin and arrow situation for full price arrows (still from his shop, if that is okay) and separately putting some coin in the business that he can make some level of crafting progress during our downtime.

Crafting a regular arrow would take Vash just over an hour if it has a regular steel tip, but two and a half weeks if it has an adamantine tip....a bit unbalanced in my opinion, but I understand it is for game balance, not realism.

Okay, Vash is updated with full price adamantine arrows (5), and enchantments of his buckler and mithral shirt to +1. It also has his holy symbol enchanted to +1 natural armor by Harmini. Vash will also put 500 gp into his business. When he has available time during the downtime, Vash will research what might have happened to his parents (per his backstory).

Ok. So Nima will keep the Ushabti and Harmini will craft an Amulet of Natural Armor +1 in the shape of Pharasma's holy symbol for Vash (using 1000g of his money). Teos can acquire a crafted ka stone for 1000g from pretty much anywhere but we can RP it as Harmini crafting it if you like. Lastly, Harmini will keep the 1 holy water, 1 alchemist's fire and the 2 antitoxins remaining.

Craft Headband of Aerial Agility +2 INT (Fly):
Breakdown (4500g, CL 8th). DC 5 (Base DC) + 8 (CL) + 5 (Missing Extend Spell) + 5 (Accelerated Crafting) = DC 23. Harmini's take 10 on crafting = 23 +2 circumstance from Alabaster's Cooperative Crafting. This also doubles the gp value per day that can be crafted (day 1 4000g, day 2 500g).

Craft Amulet of Natural Armor +1:
Breakdown (2000g, CL 5th). DC 5 (Base DC) + 5 (CL) + 5 (Missing Barkskin) + 5 (Accelerated Crafting) = DC 20. Harmini's take 10 on crafting = 23 + 2 circumstance from Alabaster's Cooperative Crafting. This also doubles the gp value per day that can be crafted (day 3 2000g).

Teaching Spells to Alabaster:
Harmini will teach her familiar the following spells from scrolls purchased:

OK Players, I wanted to fill you on something from my end. For sometime I have been unsure if I would be able to or want to continue running this game. I don't feel I am doing a good enough job and do not feel I am committed to running in this format.

I have not yet decided exactly what the future will be yet but I do not plan to abandon it completely without finding someone to fill in. I am working on discussing things with another GM who may be willing to take it over. Harmini is out for the week, real world vacation time. So, for now I am asking for the rest of the week to figure things out. I will continue to check on things if you want to ask any questions or provide feedback.

It is nothing personal with any of you. I appreciate the time you have given, its just not something I feel I am committed to right now and if I do not turn it around I feel the game will suffer (and that is not fair to you).

I personally have enjoyed this game very much when we are posting. I must admit, though, the long lapses in posting make it hard to maintain a sense of forward momentum. I am having fun with Vash, so I am all in for continuing if we find someone ready & willing to run the show...


Hi all; GM has been in touch with me about possibly taking over here. First off, thanks to the GM for all of the hard work here, he's done a great job! Second, thanks to you players for being invested; it looks like it's a great group.

While I'd love to take over as GM, I'd only do so if you guys are all good with me doing so and with my typical pacing. You can check out some of the AP's I'm running - I have quite a few games ongoing. Many of them hit lulls and posting dries up for a time and then starts again - unfortunately just the nature of PBP.

What do you feel is a good consistent pace that will keep you invested? I try and post daily with a meaningful post, but check it several times a day so can always chime back in with enemy actions, action resolutions, skill check resolutions, and so on. But, I do see that at the start of this grand adventure, you guys were posting at a mad pace. Are you looking to recapture that, or are you okay with my typical rate?

And, in full disclosure, I'm still catching up on the gameplay thread and the actual documentation of the AP, so I'm still a bit longer before we can get rolling.

I am kind of a later arrival to the group, but my preference is to have meaningful progress at least once a day, which usually means posting at least once a day from most of the characters, plus a post from the DM for sure. I can adjust to slower or faster paces if needed, but if we slow down to one post a week, I will probably have difficulty staying engaged.

Hi GM Nayr, nice to meet you! Back from vacation and ready to roll whenever now. To the other players, I apologize for not posting about being off earlier but I knew we were waiting on GM Tal to move things along and that it was becoming a bit of a struggle.

I've been with GM Talalmackk since the beginning of this AP (and longer before that since we are friends irl). It was certainly much more fast paced in the beginning but difficult to keep up with. I agree that 1 post a day is a reasonable expectation for this format (during the week at least, my weekends tend to be fairly hectic and I don't always have the time to post). I've also trimmed a few other games from my repertoire lately to be able to give this one the focus that it deserves.

I do enjoy playing with all of you so far and would like to take it to the next chapter and beyond. Just let me know if you have any questions or need anything else to get started.

I do appreciate the good will guys. It is my hope that the game continues well to the end. I know I was not likely to be able to hold out for it though, so it was best to see if someone more adapt at it would take the reins. I do believe all of you are strong players, and I will not be leaving the format entirely, just not as a GM anytime soon.

I do look forward to assisting GM Nayr get up to speed. I am in contact with him and helping him with resources. So, if anyone had questions, I will try to answer them as best I can. It has been an honor to do this as long as I did. Thank you.

OK, players, I have some news. GM Nayr reached out to me last night and unfortunately he will not be taking over the game. I am sorry to tell you that.

This leaves us in a little bit of a bind. I am still not feeling this format as a GM anymore, but I do not wish to just throw this one away. I feel it may be best to reach out on the recruitment to see who may be willing to take it over.

But as I am not going to continue it, I leave the decision to you as well. I will keep it up while we search, if we do. Please let me know your opinion so I can post something tomorrow if possible.

Just wanted to manage any expecations...
I've been so busy this week, that I haven't had a chance to get to the gameplay or to reading the AP.

If my RL work continues at this pace, I might not get to the point of a decision until deeper into August.

It's not a no....but not yet a yes , either.

I'll officially request a transfer of the campaign over to myself and gather up whatever resources I need.

I any of you have your characters in Hero Lab, send them to me at braidwood.ad@gmail.com.

Thank you GM Spazmodeus. Glad it will work out. I have never been involved in a transfer, so I am not sure what is needed. But anything I can do to help and speed it up, please let me know and I will take action.
