I'm totally fine with folks following the PFS convention of doing a character rebuild at this point. I'm very happy with my little feline sociopath so that won't be necessary for me.
And for the record, I don't see anyone as being a troublemaker, problem, or anything along those lines.
When we come out of pause, I think we can quickly wrap up the Chui following Wynrey thing with a couple of posts and then go into downtime.

I have been thinking about it a lot and i really dont think i can play a character like elendra just yet. Me as a player cant though i love the concept and person she is it is styleisticly too far apart from what i am capable of and want to ask you and the party if i can do something more natural for me to play. I assure you that it will be far more light hearted. I hope i am not stepping on any toes here
I'm OK with pausing for now. If you want to reroll your character at level 2 that seems completely reasonable. I was about to reroll myself. On that note, Pete and I will talk out what is happening outside in the city streets and give out the end result of that.
Wow... I had no idea folks were that unhappy with their characters… though it certainly explains the recent nonsensical RP postings.
My opinion: I think you both (Wynrey & Elendra) should play characters that you enjoy playing. This is about having fun after all. If you don’t like the 2 you have now, then get rid of them and play something else. I'm cool with that. I’d like to keep playing Harmini but am willing to make adjustments to fit in. I would advise that we work together on these changes though since we do still need a mechanically and socially functional group so we all don’t die horribly.
Don't ask for permission before you do something. Why would you? We have stated several times that we do not have a leader and I like it that way. I might be the one who talks first and I do talk often but I am not the only voice that matters nor should I be. If you have an opinion you should say it if you want to do something do it. This isn't a thing we need to do 'flawlessly' because that I believe that term means nothing in a game like this. The four of us just do things and stuff will happen.
I don’t agree with this statement. Even though at no point did we discuss as a group (ooc) not having a leader, a certain degree of structure, self-control and cooperation is still needed among the PCs in order to tell a story of any merit. While you’re certainly free to post whatever you like whenever you like, some things of significance should be discussed ahead of time ooc (Ex: changing characters). Additionally, not having a group leader doesn’t give any PC license to transform into a chaos elemental at will to cause meaningless mayhem for the GM to sort out. Actions have consequences and it’s not about being ‘flawless’ (failures can and will happen), it’s about working together to follow a path. The truth is: the Mummy’s Mask Adventure Path has a set story in place for the PCs to follow, if you choose not to participate in that story and go all murder-hobo whenever you like then I suggest you play something else.
For the record, I don’t actually have any issues with any of you personally and I do enjoy playing with you all, but we do need to sort all this out ooc before continuing. I’m not interested in any more ‘surprises’ and I’d appreciate some feedback from the group when I ask questions in the discussion board.
I too was unaware of how unhappy some folks may be with their characters. I totally agree with Matt that we should both enjoy playing our characters and have a group that covers the ranges of skills/knowledges/etc. that we need for the AP. So, I'm fine with whatever anyone needs to do to provide themselves with a character that meets these two criteria.
I'm not sure that I'd call the recent RP "nonsensical," though it's certainly pushed the boundaries. The bar was a real sandbox situation, and I for one don't have a lot of experience in this type of setting. That's partly why I was more reactive than proactive with how I played Chui. I hope that I'll get better with these sorts of interactions going forward.
In terms of "leadership," I'm all in favor of us not having an official leader, but in many ways, that's harder than having such a figure. Without a single individual to tell us what to do, I think we all have the responsibility to consult with each other as we consider major decisions and actions that could affect how the story is unfolding.
Which leads to an important point made by Matt, we're doing this in the context of an storyline that we need to more-or-less follow. I've not done an AP before, but I suspect that it's more railroad than sandbox. I know that it could be tricky since we don't know how the story is going to unfold, but I think we should be cautious about doing things that might seriously disrupt the ongoing plot of the AP.
As I wrote earlier, I think Elendra's concern about the guy going upstairs made sense in the context of where we were and what we what just gone through. What we could have done better is perhaps to have paused at that point and gone OOC to consider, "OK what happens next?" "What does Jeremy think of this as a potential development? Can he work with it or not?"
For myself, I'll certainly plead guilty to pushing the pace of events over the past few days, and I'll do my best to be more methodical and reflective in the future.

Harmini does arcane and if we only have 4 people its not great to overlap skills while leaving stuff out. If you want bruiser a, I'll just take your oracle slot. That would be cool to do. I was looking at bones mystery(but that might be a REALLY bad idea) or the dragon mystery, because wow. Just wow. Its cannot be legal. I mean, you're still an oracle so it can't get too crazy but wow, its going to be interesting to see that one.
I'm prepared to move forward whenever and at whatever pace folks would like to pursue.

I still have to deal with Harmini's downtime. Should be able to take care of that this weekend or early next week. She's going to need to scribe scrolls into her familiar and identify the rest of the gear. After that, she's going to try to earn some Magic capital for later crafting use. That's my plan anyway.

A couple of things:
1) Bill, give a yell when you're ready to move forward with the Chui following Wynrey thing.
2) Since Chui has been in Wati for a bit now, I'm assuming it's OK to play him as not living at the Tooth & Hookah, but instead he's got a "apartment" somewhere in town. After looking at the map and city information, I think the most likely location is the middle of the Asp district, partway between the wealthy western section and the poor eastern area. Looking at the map, it would be due south of location #8, the Grand Mausoleum.
Chui has been known to refer to his apartment as the "Love Shack," though he doesn't use it for business. For that, he usually goes to hotels, B&Bs, etc. in the Morning Sun district.

i have a concept for a character i just really want to make one that both fits in the group and is fun for me to play, i have an idea for a bloodrager but s I'm not familiar id like to talk to pete about it tomorrow first before i post the final concept. the basic idea is loosely based on swampthing and groot he is a ghoren bloodrager with the verdant bloodline i will be a brusier and have an ok cha so can HELP with the face portion but i don't want to be in that role alone.
Obviously, I think bloodragers are the wasps's knees (a Calistrian expression that Candi sometimes uses). My sense is that the various bloodlines can be very, very different from one another.
I'd not heard of the verdant bloodline before, but I see that it comes from the new Ultimate Wilderness. It does look like it has some nice tank features. My only concern is that we're exploring desert tombs, so some of its features, like it's 12 lvl bloodline power, may not be all that relevant or useful. However, if you take Primalist as an archetype (not PFS legal), you can swap rage powers for bloodline powers and get the best of both barbarian and bloodrager.
I'm not very familiar with ghorans, but the spelleater alternate racial trait looks very nice, and otherwise they look solid as a bloodrager race. It looks like they're originally from Nex which isn't all that far away from where we are now.
So a ghoran bloodrager and possibly an assimar dragon Oracle. I am not opposed on principle to either. Pete is more experienced with bloodrager so I may lean on him for that. We all know dual cursed oracles are good but in this format they may be problematic. Slows the process to wait and see if a reroll comes up. Just a thought though. The curses can be fun in this format though.
Shawn and I had a good chat about his ghoran verdant bloodrager idea, and I think it's a very strong concept. I recommended Primalist as an archetype, and I also now think it might be interesting to look at Greenrager as an additional, and very thematic, archetype. I think that Raging Vitality would be a good first feat to pick up. A trait which gives a +1 for Will saves would be very cool. We talked about taking a Ndochi as his starting weapons.
Finally, I suggested the following ability score distribution
Str - 16
Dex - 14
Con - 17 (at 2nd level he'd have 24 hp normally, 30 while raging)
Int - 5
Wis - 10
Cha - 14
Shawn wasn't so sure about dumping Int so hard, though both Bill and I thought it would be very amusing (but we are horrible, horrible people).

I have the hunger curse which give me a bit but keeps me from benifiing from the magic effects of food magic like good berries and hero’s feast. I can eat them, they just don’t heal me or improve my saves. Also I need to do damage with my bite attack when combat starts (or in any stressful situation) or I am sickened. It doesn’t say I need to bite an enemy. It doesn’t even say that I need to bite a creature so this is the plan: my new character is constantly hungry and stress eats and when anything happens I spend a turn eating something(when you bite an apple, you do damage to it)only instead of an apple it’s Shawn's berries that grow off of his body. In return I hit him with my once per day daylight. We’ Good friends. Eat friends, I just need to eat pieces of him.
Having Shawn and Bill's new characters arrive together makes a lot of sense to me. That helps to explain their very odd and somewhat disturbing symbiotic condition (I'm very, very happy that Chui is a carnivore).
So, I think Wynrey should decline Chui's kind offer, give him a big drunken, teary, embarrassing hug, and disappear back to Fangwood Keep where she will never be sure if this was all a dream or not.
Chui will head home to the Love Shack, where he and Babs will annoy the neighbors with loud cat sex.

Yeah, sorry but this is not an okay twist of the aspect of the curse. It is meant to be actually a detriment and this kind of marginalizes it beyond the mechanics of the game. You gain no benefits from good berry, that includes the actual filling aspect. Getting over the hunger curse by eating a strawberry seems a little off.
Now I do like the stress eating concept over the more obvious canabalistic aspect I think the curse is supposed to be. So I will compromise a little on this. How about this...
At the start of a stressful situation (combat) you have the urge to eat. You begin with the sickened condition and must take a full round action to eat something significant, most likely some food you have with you. In addition, if you remain sickened and someone provokes and AOO, you must succeed at a DC 15 Will save or take the AOO. The successful bite attack still removes the Sickened condition whether from the AOO or a normal attack.
Also, unfortunately, Daylight spell doesn't actually provide sunlight. He might feel comforted by the spell but it doesn't actually keep him from possibly taking CON damage. I love the connection aspect of the character, and the daylight ability vs. constant hunger makes sense for them to have bonded. Let's see how that connection plays out.

Harmini's profile is updated to Level 2 and ready to go. She took care of selling things during downtime and will share the split evenly with the group. Once I figure out what the other unidentified stuff is, I'll sell that too and add it to the gp total.
Chui gets a vial of Alchemist Fire. I didn't sell that. The rest of the stuff on the treasure sheet can be cleared out.
Total Split so far for each PC = 504g, 3s, 5c.
Harmini has only spent 350g of her share so far.
OK, I'll admit that I'm confused by our money situation. This is entirely my own fault, as I haven't been keeping good records.
This 504 gp, 3 sp, 5 cp? Is this the total we have earned so far, or is this in addition to some amount that we've previously received?
I'm setting up a new money tracking system based on what I use for Society play, so this shouldn't be a problem again.

Yeah, my mistake. Jeremy's numbers are correct. I accidently sold the money for 50%. whoops!
The correct amount for each PC is 586g, 7silver, 6 copper.
If we sell the armor & the shield we can each add 1,204g, 2 silver, 5 copper to our individual loots for a total of 1,791g, 1 copper.
(I will assume someone wants to keep the Potion of Darkvision, Chui?)
So, I like the way this is kind of working out. With the downtime being wrapped up and Chui putting word out that he has some work needed it seems perfect for the new characters to arrive into the story on the last night of downtime where we can move forward the following morning.
Sound good?
Also, in case it wasn't said the new character should start with the original 200 gold of gear (unless taking traits that change that). The original treasure is being handled in downtime and the new characters will be getting a cut.

Also, Chui, I forgot to answer about the potion of darkvision. It is in fact a second potion of darkvision.

During that time there was a lot research and dark experimentation done in the name of halting the plague or at least this is what I've heard. I believe the object of both our quests is to be found here in this forsaken city.

Priests and priestess were known as "Servants of God," and a high priest(ess) was called the "First Servant of God." I suggest that we use this terminology, and the senior cleric of any ancient Osiriani god in a particular city would be known as the "First Servant of [god X]."
There was also a rank known as "God's Father," though apparently there is disagreement about what exactly this meant at various times in ancient Egyptian history. I still think we could borrow it and refer to the senior cleric of the ancient Osiriani pantheon in any particular town as "God's Father(Mother)."
So, Chui's second relationship would be either with the "First Servant of Bastet" or the "God's Father (Mother) of Wati."
Does this sound like a reasonable plan?
