The holy symbol of Pharasma or the gold scarab clasp that Elendra is currently wearing?
Otherwise, yeah that works.
It's the lapis and carnelian pendant worth 25 gp.

OK guys, I want to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy time with family and friends, and don't spend to much time shopping on Friday.
If you need to step away from the game do not feel bad BUT if you can and want to continue to post through the weekend, please do. I will be on periodically as I am off until Monday, well at least from my paying job.
Either way, enjoy the weekend. I will see many of you the following Thursday in person but I won't be at Table Top much this month.

Aww nice! Vermont is a sweet place. Hope you had a great time.
A question for our crafter(s) and GM. Is the alchemical item All-night a thing that can be crafted? It’s not a thing that I will need for a long time, but I wanted to ask now for item progression reasons. Also is it a thing that is above board for this AP?

Yes, all night would be something that would be available. It might be considered "shady" but not likely to cause a problem. As for crafting, I will need to look into it. It doesn't specifically have a craft DC, but it isn't a naturally found thing (like garlic from the same list). I am in favor of allowing it but I need to find a crafting DC.
Hope that answers your question.

It does. Looking at it now All-night is definitely a drug so Do I want to turn into a pill popper when we start a dungeon and take a -2 on skill checks(I won't have many skill points so losing any is not great) or lose my belt slot? I might have to lose my belt slot.

Well, addiction isn't a thing I would worry about on it. But it would still have the -2 while using it. It is kind of steep to avoid fatigue, so I guess it depends on the alternative.

With how far I went off the rails(RPing things that would not happen for several hours and then having to walk it back, sorry for that btw)I lost track of Harmini's location. Did she still head upstairs for the night or did we rewind that? How many of my buddies are with me?

Chui Nyeusi |

I'm fine with how things are going/went. I see Wynrey as a college freshman - out of the house, away from her parents, and going a little (a lot?) off the rails.
Chui's much more jaded and world weary (living for a year with a bunch of orcs in the middle of the Mwangi expanse after your family is politically disgraced can have that effect).
I believe Harmini is upstairs, blissfully unaware of the degree to which her reputation is being tarnished by her association with Wynrey.

![]() |

I could see that too. Fangwood Keep is is the middle of nowhere and is staffed by military officers, political envoys, and mages that can deal with the odd machinery that is in the keep. No kids and the only exposure to the outside world that she got was from the keeps big library, her mother's friends who would make the trip over, and politically necessary social parties. If this is her as a freshman, her high-school years were filled with traveling the world around to train to fight (from Tian-Hwon to Irrison) but for a half elf/drow "high school years" are a decade or so. Her experience with the world has been primarily academic, not a lot of street smarts. Unless that street was in a book somewhere.

Wynrey has rails she can follow?
Smart-!@# comments aside, I see Wynrey as exactly like you describe here. She CAN focus but tends not to, especially when influenced (food, drugs, alcohol, etc.). I don't see anything wrong with how that all went, and I think it was interesting being able to play with the perception vs. reality concept.
Also, not much stretch in time either. Wynrey was intending to go to bed but got caught by Velrianna before she could. Harmini did go upstairs because no one wanted to stop her. It's all good.

If I have my Hero point back, I'll spend that, and if it in anyway might apply, I'll also use my "Cat's Luck (1/day) (Ex) Can roll 2d20 for a Reflex save and take better result."
If only I'd remembered the motto of my old school, "When in doubt, background checks!"
Without getting into too much details, no a hero point cannot be spent on this.

No need to elaborate, I just wanted to make sure I was doing everything I could think of to avoid a fiasco.

Well, before the festivities take my attention from this news...
Given all the interaction with the NPC the group has done, the story award would apply. Upon completion of this encounter the group will be leveling.
Very excited about ki pool and vanishing trick.

FWIW, I see what happened as an example of our characters exhibiting greater and lesser degrees of post-traumatic stress.
It was a fairly tough adventure where all of us were in fairly serious danger at one or more times. I do think Wynrey gets the prize for being swallowed by the sarcophagus. So, all of us, as both players and characters, were more than a little on edge in the bar, even if we perhaps didn't fully realize it.
Elendra sees someone head upstairs "quickly" as the result of being asked to make a Perception check and "Boom! Excitement!" That makes perfect sense to me as do our various resulting reactions. I think Wynrey sees herself very much as a protector and appears to take a very "one for all and all for one" approach to our group, probably as a result of growing up with a famous Pathfinder Society mother.
Chui, on the other hand, is far less inclined to trust what one of his fellow group members says, and Chui was also very deliberately watching for any potential threats and had not seen anything. So, he came to the conclusion that Elendra and Wynrey were probably over-reacting to something that had an innocent explanation.
Finally, I was amused by how Velrianna and the Scorched Hand folks tried to map their hierarchical organization onto us. Velrianna seemed almost desperate to figure out which one of use was the "leader" and thus equivalent to her. The idea that the we don't really have a leader never seemed to occur to her.
Of course, the inn's management and the other adventuring groups may not take such a sympathetic view of what happened, and as our beloved GM just wrote, "There will be consequences." And that's just fine to me as a player because it will make a more interesting story.

A couple of questions on other topics:
1) I understand that Elendra is from Wati, and the rest of us are from elsewhere. However, it seems that Wynrey and Harmini are fairly recent arrivals, drawn by the opening of the necropolis, and Chui has been here for at least a couple of months, long enough to hook up with church of Bastet and get himself a girlfriend (and an angry father of a girlfriend). Is this more-or-less correct?
2) When Chui levels, does he need to put points into Profession (gigolo) or can he continue just to use Diplomacy and/or Bluff? The Ultimate Campaign Downtime rules on pp. 77-78 don't seem to limit Gaining Capital checks to just professions, crafts, and perform. They keep it a little vague with phrases like "a useful skill" or "the skill must be suitable for earning the chosen type of capital." Both Diplomacy and Bluff are listed among the skills that can be used to gain various sorts of capital.

Two final thoughts:
1) It seems that Velrianna saw Chui's move across the bar as going to reinforce Wynrey and Elendra rather than what it was, an attempt to stop either of them from doing anything aggressive. Chai tried to communicate her intent to Idorii, and hopefully, Idorii recognized what Chui was up to.
2) When Velrianna said "Idorii please come with me,"how quickly/obediently did Idorii respond?

That is how I understand it but I will let others correct me if I am wrong.

This is also correct. You can take profession if you would prefer but Diplomacy and Bluff would also be options that are just as valid. Outside of mechanics I would also agree that those skills are in flavor with your chosen "profession".

Honestly, she didn't seem concerned with your actions. It is kind of a given she saw you but she didn't really show anything related to you, good or bad. You do believe your intent was communicated to Idorii, though she seemed indifferent to all of it.
2) When Velrianna said "Idorii please come with me,"how quickly/obediently did Idorii respond?
She did not jump to attention, nor salute or anything but she did follow her as requested. She also kept a close eye on Wynrey but was not aggressive about it.

Two More Things!
1) Everyone is not level 2, please feel free to level.
2) Minor expenses such as room and board, drinks, food, etc. will not need to be tracked unless there is to be a mechanical aspect. Both Wynrey and Chui, and maybe Harmini and Elendra, "spent" gold in this last scene. Please do not subtract that from your totals.
Now if the gold is being spent to bribe someone, work on downtime, other specific mechanical effect, then yes it will be tracked, but you are adventurers, you flash gold around and screw up the local economy. It's kind of your thing.

Wait wait wait... Hold the horses with phones.
So are we on downtime or not on downtime? I'm a little confused here.
Can someone tell me what's going on please? What happened with Elendra? Where is Wynrey going? Why is Chui following her?
Harmini doesn't even know about any of the ruckus that happened after she went upstairs...

I have been thinking about it a lot and i really dont think i can play a character like elendra just yet. Me as a player cant though i love the concept and person she is it is styleisticly too far apart from what i am capable of and want to ask you and the party if i can do something more natural for me to play. I assure you that it will be far more light hearted. I hope i am not stepping on any toes here

I'm OK with pausing for now. If you want to reroll your character at level 2 that seems completely reasonable. I was about to reroll myself. On that note, Pete and I will talk out what is happening outside in the city streets and give out the end result of that.

![]() |

Shawn, how many times have you been at a table and when something should have happened normally, for no reason absolute chaos erupts and s&&% hits the fan and you end up having fun? Failure and madness are not something to be avoided unless we are purposefully just being evil jerks, although there are even groups that do that. A mistake was made, then a misunderstanding happened but none of these things are wrong or bad. My character is furious but I'm really OK with what happened. If you want to say that you made an issue where none existed, well you did but I don't see that as a problem. I'll tell you what, I can't recall a single tavern scene in any scenario that I've ever played but I don't think I'll ever forget this one.

![]() |

Don't ask for permission before you do something. Why would you? We have stated several times that we do not have a leader and I like it that way. I might be the one who talks first and I do talk often but I am not the only voice that matters nor should I be. If you have an opinion you should say it if you want to do something do it. This isn't a thing we need to do 'flawlessly' because that I believe that term means nothing in a game like this. The four of us just do things and stuff will happen.
