Such is the life of a happy healer. I am also happy we didn't take damage, this could have gone very differently.

I added a wishlist to the top of bambaras profile for the things id like to find/buy/craft this will be an evolving list of course and i hope you all think its a good idea
Definitely an ambitious list, Bambara. This will cost 347 Magic capital in total (17,350g @ earned cost; 34,800g out of pocket w/o capital) Subtract 210 capital from this total if you take off the ring and weapon enchants (Harmini doesn't have those Item Creation feats).
I'd like to discuss more with the group what sort of items you would like crafted (aka crafting feats). I feel like Craft Magic Arms and Armor would be a waste early on at lvl 5 as most of the weapons Bam wants are super expensive (approx lvl 8-9 gear), Chui employs mainly natural weapons and Harmini and Alex are straight up arcane casters. Do you all feel Craft Wand might be more beneficial (Bam can use arcane wands too)? Forge Ring is CL7th pre-req (sorry, no ring of protections for a while). Thoughts?

Craft Wand could be good, Scribe Scroll is also good. The prestige class I am going into requires a crafting feat and I will be picking one up at 5. Both work well, I can take either and give you a chance to take a feat that doesn't involve crafting if you want. If you do want to take another crafting feat, you can get wands and I can get scrolls. Wands are a bigger investment and your crafting skill is way better than mine so it makes sense for you to have that one if we decide to get both.
Either way, craftable wands is going to be great for us. We all have some very interesting spell lists that we can pull from and it will be great to have more options in combat.
Just confirming something, we can make a wand at a higher caster level than its minimum correct? Magic Missile CL 3?

not wanting or needing it all at once. priority on the bracers, blood Reservoir, and belt. i can indeed use some wands so thats not a bad idea
A couple of quick thoughts:
1) I think that any money spent on these bracers would be better spent of buying an adamantine weapon and getting the enhancement bonus when furious is running up to the point where it overcomes other metal DRs.
2) Of the items listed, the Belt would be most important for me.

All consumable magic items are crafted at the creator's CL at the time of creation. You can choose to lower the CL of the item voluntarily (thus reducing the cost, DC, etc) but never create something higher than your own CL (consumables only). Ex: You can't craft a scroll of Fireball CL 10 @ 7th lvl but you could create one @ CL 5 if you choose.
Another bit of note: All wands would need to be crafted fully charged. You cannot craft a partially charged wand.
So yeah, I can have Harmini take Craft Wand @ 5th lvl if Alex wants to take Scribe Scroll @ 5th lvl. That works for me.

Given the huge discount on using Magic Capital for crafting, I suspect that our Downtime will be limited on most occasions (probably no more than a week at a time). So prioritizing your wishlists is a good idea. I'd like to make sure Harmini's time is balanced out between the group so that everyone can at least get 1 thing they want.

For point 1 i think that the bonus would be +3 which is going to be really expensive so the bracers would be a hold me over thing until i could get a furious impact adamantine earthbreaker though i know thats going to be way later.
For point 2 the list was in no particular order and not just crafting wishlist but a craft OR buy list. The blood res. and str belt i put equal importance on at number 1 on the list.I think everyone should have a "wishlist" attached to their profile so that makes things easier for mat

You are not stunned, you are dazed. You can take a standard or a move, but not both.
Save me!

Not to be confused with staggered, dazed works a bit differently than you think... just wait until we actually deal with confusion!
At least there's a bench in the room ;).

Oh...oh! Oh no. That is bad. Well, it was nice knowing you all, I’ll get to work on my elemental annihilater.
I am half joking.

Alex, you need to pay attention to what you are doing with your hands. You cannot have a weapon in one hand (and yes, you can "hold" a spear in one hand but not wield it), a lantern in the other, and hold a potion ready to drink. That requires three hands. I tried to point it out subtly earlier, but that seems to have failed as you are no putting down the spear and trying to take a dagger instead. That still does not provide you with a third hand.
So, either you have to drink the potion now or put down one of the other items. Please be clear.

Sorry, I didn't think I needed to clarify this further. I have the potion in one hand and a lamp in the other. I didn't say that I was carrying the dagger in my hands, I just HAVE the dagger with me. Sheathed or in my belt or whatever. In practice the spear gives me nothing and is a pain to lug around and I need to carry my light so I can actually see and hit things. Before I couldn't attack with my weapon and hold my own light source, I had to spend a move to put it down and that's not optimal. I swapped to the dagger because it is something I can use with one hand. If needed I can draw it as part of a move and my move action will be putting down my lantern or stow away my potion. In short, having a 1 handed weapon lets me be move flexible in the first round of combat.
More than likely I will drink my potion once we find the Scorched Hand anyway, but should we be surprised the only weapon in my hand will be my oil lamp. (I very much understand that using a oil lamp as a weapon is a terrible idea and it's not something I could see myself doing unless something terrible is happening.)

Ioun torches are very good but I like the 60 foot cone of light that the bulls eye lantern gives me for medium range vision. I might have to use my downtime to tinker something up. An Ioun torch based headlamp using mirrors inside a metal tube? It would definitely take up my helmet slot, but I'm not using that slot for anything anyway. I'll have to look up items in Ultimate Equipment to see prices of materials, but that will come later.
Constructing an item like that sounds like something Brigh would like and she also has the knowledge domain. And isn't insane. Hmmm.

I just described a candle helmet that I'm sticking an Ioun stone into. Its a mundane item from UE. Is it the 60 feet of light cone that is too much? That's fair. Ioun stones light as a torch which gives you 20 feet and a standard lantern gives you 30. So that could be 40-50ish depending on my tinkering. If it is the complexity of it I can't see how that would be an issue, we have someone in our group that can build magic items and bring rocks to life. Mirrors exist, the helmet exists, the ioun torch exists, glue exist. If you are saying that I just cannot do this and that's it I think that is a bit odd but it is what it is.

![]() |

The item you are describing is a miner's helmet, not a helmet candle. And it gives a 30 ft cone. You certainly canuse one of these if you wish.
As for the ioun stone part, the no applies to that. To activate an ioun stone you need to activate it, meaning to have it float above you as normal, or put it in some kind of special matrix, such as a wayfinder. Neither of which would apply in this case.
The "no" specifically was to custom creating an item, magic or otherwise when there are several items already existing to cover this exact thing. Also, in addition, is the complete 180 change to the character concept to becoming a worshiper of Brigh, a god that has had no place in the store so far, both for the AP or the character as an individual.
So, work within the game as it exists and stick to a character concept.

I fight might happen but I want to try to stop it. These people aren't evil, they are just jerks. Jerks that feel like they are entitled to be here. Alexandra still doesn't understand what all this fuss is about. Also fighting them might be problematic through this gate, we could be walking into not just 1, but 2 burning hands. They are blocking us getting in, but we are blocking the way to get out.
Give me three minutes and if it doesn't work out, we do have our trigger word.

The code word that talks have broken down and we are fighting is “Trent Whiskers”.
As for the post about Khelru, while I think that he does like The Dawn Flowers’s style, his main deity is definitely Nethys. I’ve been digging through old posts looking for information the we know about them and Hypaxes mentioned that all of them but Idorii follow the teachings of Nethys. Also his necklace gives it away.

Guys, while I 100% support the attempt at diplomacy instead of murder hobo I also want to make sure of one thing first. This is an RP encounter at this point and while the rolls will be a part of it, the outcome will depend also on what is said.
I am adding some emphasis this time.

As we seem to be struggling in the negotiations here, I say give it one more post Alex (at least an answer to the question of "to join or not to join" followed by a diplomacy check) and then Harmini will step in to "offer" her assistance in resolving the conflict.

Thanks for the repost - while I was at the grocery store, Chui talked me into spending his Hero Point. Bad Catfolk!

Sounds good to me, I have one more thing from Chui, then he's good to go for a Diplomacy roll.

I made a proposal, it’s not a great one. Chui and Harmini might get mad that I offered it. If either of them don’t like it and back down I totally understand that, I’m not sure if it would be in character for either of them to work with this lady. If the team up idea falls through, I’m tapping out and someone else can take over although Alex will argue that working together is better than killing each other and that the difference between 1/8th of something and 1/4th of something is not worth killing 4 people over.
They won’t leave, why would they? The cops won’t help and seem to almost aggressively not care about the situation, this is the only path out I saw.
