I first read it while I was at a game, and it got me in a tizzy (high level scenario + lots of casters + occult rules + players who didn't have their s+@$ together + 35-degrees-Celsius with no fan or air conditioning), but reading it now when I'm calmer, it's funny. Out of left field, but still funny. Put it up so the others can read it :P

Sat on a stool nearby, Luthor squirmed in his seat, face red. He finally covered his face with his hands...only to have his fingers part mere moments later.

I'm awestruck on many levels. I love your ability to work up a whole song's worth of parody. In my Marvel game, my character desperately tried to work up "The Gamma Mutate Song," to the tune of "Modern Major General" from The Pirates of Penzance, but I could only ever come up with about 6-8 lines... :-\

Thank you! I enjoy parodies. It was part of the reason that Lali wanted me to play a bard -- so that I could have an excuse to write more songs.

If you mean the Marvel game in general, it was a fun game put out by Margaret Weis. It only lasted a year before Marvel, in a fit of short-sightedness (IMO), pulled the license.
If you mean our game, our GM set it in a timeline where a bunch of the core Avengers went missing/presumed dead after a battle with Ultron, and Captain Marvel re-Assembles the team (Spiderman, Shocker (trying to reform), Shang-Chi, and big blue goofball of a new hero, Gamma-Guy or something...). We lost some momentum and are now on a hiatus until March (boo!). I really hope we get back into the swing, things were getting interesting...
Sorry for the delay again, so I put a lot of words together to make up for the lack as of late.
I'd never seen Chicago, so it was interesting to watch that clip provided. I have to admit I was amused.
Had Daen actually watched that, I'm not sure if he would have been seething with jealousy or running away to put his head between his knees and recite prime numbers. Cyanne tends to fiercely affect his emotional state.
Luthors REACTION if he had heard Daen speaking to Lali and Cyanne.

I glossed over the fort and town for a couple reasons. First, I have nothing planned for them, they're just places on the map. Second, they may or may not play a role later in the AP, even if it is or is not a minor one.

I'm loving the castle pic. It's kinda awesome.
Secondarily, is the loot sheet up to date? Daen wants to make sure Kaz gets fitted for some armor. Preferably something with a gorget. Looks like it will have to be banded mail right now, but if we got a bit more from our last couple fights, perhaps we could get him in some full plate.
It's not up to date, as far as I know. Svetlana is somewhere in the city with he money from your victory over the bandits. That should help.

Luthor has nothing he really needs to make him a better combatant and explorer just right now, so when talk shifts to Kazs armor, hes gonna be rather insistent he be allowed to pool his money with him for something good.
Re-reading discussion, I think it's about time I watched Chicago again. I haven't seen it in years.
And maybe I just like tormenting my characters too much, but I can't see Kaz being comfortable with any kind of measuring and fitting. *cackles wickedly*
Maybe if its done by someone he know? ;)

Okay, done with gaming. Time to make a spoilered post for Daen and hope he catches it before his workweek starts again.
Is all this popcorn because of what Cyanne said to Luthor? No, it must be for something else since no one liked the post. I'll have to go back through gameplay and see what else was popcorn worthy... I must have missed it.

Lali's in this to get back the land that used to belong to her family. Which is located.....somewhere here. She knows the general area but that's about it. I have no clue what they'd offer anyone else, but that's what made her take the job.
Oh it's a lovely wrinkle. And I'm happily going with it.
Daen actually was ordered to do this for the possibility of regaining favor with his family. He's pretty sure they won't give it anyway, but he's willing to do it so that he might become known, and possibly make for himself more opportunities as an adventurer or even as a duelist. One can make a living that way, and then he'll no longer be dependent on them or their influence. That would be a win in his book, for sure. He also doesn't have a contract at all, other than the charter.
