Super-short gameplay post, and a question... is all my stuff back at the outpost?

Oi! Lurkers! What exactly do you folks do? Do you just read everything quietly, offering input at times? Do you PM each other to place bets on who's going to do something stupid? Do you provide your own commentary? Do you secretly go full MST3K or Statler & Waldorf? Do you draw fanart? How do you entertain yourselves with this little game of ours? Genuinely curious here!

I've been reading along. I'll talk about it with Hmm, especially the differences between this and our home game of Kingmaker.

I mainly just read along and laugh and 'awww' where appropriate. Hmm and I sometimes chat about the game via Hangouts and of course you've seen me pop in here from time to time.

I do like the idea of the lurkers going MST3K in the background though :3

*edit* I'm also playing in a Kingmaker game here on the forums so it's fun to see how different GMs approach all the encounters and NPCs!

Working on a post now. Just had three double shifts this week, so I'm playing a bit of catch up on the weekend.

I love our lurkers, and I love the singing! :D Cyanne, you're making me want to write songs again. Maybe a ballad of Medge the Pirate King? Lali's not a song writer :(

So, I'm not going to be around until tomorrow. I went out this morning to find that my car's been broken into. So right now I'm dealing with the police/insurance/DMV and I'm not in the right frame of mind for writing. Unless it's about how I would gladly strangle whoever did it. I guess the one positive is that they didn't break a window to get in. What makes me furious is that the parking lot at my apartment complex is gated so one of my neighbors did this. I am MAD.

Oh, Lali! That SUCKS. Car trouble is going around. Bret's refused to start in the cold weather.

I will be posting as Cyanne, but with everyone busy, I've been trying to slow down my posts here so that I'm not the one dominating gameplay all the time.

Lali, that's awful news. I'd be spitting chips. Don't blame you for being pissed! Take some deep breaths, get this s@$$ sorted, and we'll be here when you're ready. Hopefully they catch the rotten neighbour. Though if you want to rant, I'll gladly listen. :P

Cyanne, car trouble sure does seem to be going around. My dear old Baldrick has sprung an oil leak, and my mother's motorcycle ('Cherry Baby') has come down with a leaky coolant tube and a puncture over the course of her recent road-trip. On top of that, my sister's car alternator's just kicked the bucket!

I'm trying to keep on top of posting as well; I've just been in a real rut. No job, missing my mum, ex won't stop messaging me... Just feeling pretty low in general. Plus I'm in the same boat as Cy, not wanting to spam gameplay while everyone else is busy.

I'll take it at the pace the game wants to move at. If that's slower, we can go slower until people are in places they can post regularly.

Sorry to hear everyone's troubles.

On the other hand, the surest way for a game to die is for no one to be posting, and for everyone to be waiting for someone else to do something. Maybe you and I will have to carry gameplay for a bit so that the others have stuff to respond to...

I have been very glad to see you posting regularly again, Kaz. BTW, what is the ex messaging you about? Is he pestering you to get back together or does he want something that he left at your place?

If it's about stuff, get rid of him by getting whatever it is back to him. If it's about the relationship, remember why you two broke up in the first place. Don't let him back just because he's whiny. That's a huge mistake. Second chances should only happen if both parties have had a chance to learn and grow in the meantime.*

Honestly, that sounds very Shelynite. "Second chances should only happen if there's something to love again" would be straight out of their playbook, as far as I know.

He wants to return things I left at his place. I've told him, I'm not interested in an empty glasses case, six-dollar pair of linen pants, half-bottle of bourbon, or all the old love letters I sent him. As far as I'm concerned, he can drink the bourbon and burn the rest.

He keeps wanting to catch up for coffee - "nothing weird, just as friends". Keeps asking how I'm doing. Says he knows I'm seeing someone (I'm not). Asking about my sex life (as if he has any right to know). Says he misses my family (yeah, well, you can mention that in the 50 messages you've sent to my sister because I'm not responding).

All in all, it's just tiring.

Ugh. That's just pathetic. He wants back with you, but he doesn't have the balls to say so? You're better off without him. Ignore and move on.

I was going to post yesterday, but then I got the opportunity to see my favourite band for free, so I went to that instead. Also took them out for pancakes!

Kaz, two things:

1) Pancakes with your favorite band? Awesome!

2) That was a kick-ass speech there. I LOVED it.

Yeah? I was worried it was too rambly. It was hard to write; my head was still blown out from the joy of having pancakes with these guys at this joint.

Lead singers go that Till Lindemann "inexplicably appealing" look to him. Or for another example, Clint Eastwood.

Also, failed to deliver on that post. Maybe today will be the day. Havnt felt this mentally blasted in a while.

While I'm hoping that today will be the day, I'm just glad you're checking in with us and letting us know you're still alive.

I was another player in the game Daen and Aest were in last year. Then I submitted for Aest's new Eberron game without realizing it. So I figured I'd read up on what you've all been up to.

I cried too. Just about every time that Cyanne got weepy it was because Hmm was weepy.

Gang, if no one else posts in 24 hours, Cyanne will pull off all her clothes and interrupt gameplay for the biggest burlesque dance scene ever, and who cares what that will do to the plot, her relationship with Daen, or her redefining herself in the Stolen Lands. Heck, she'll take off all of Kaz's clothes and teach him to poledance with her. Maybe I can get Tyg and Perli in the act.

1) a burgeoning romance between Kaz and Luthor. I want to help set it in motion, but only if Luthor is HERE.

2) an exciting plot to get Akiros back on his feet and in as a spy / double agent within the camp of the Staglord.

3) a trip back to Restov to get Kaz restored;

4) the company of secret agents Tyg and Perli on that trip to Restov;

5) a battle with the Staglord!

Every time you mention something like this, be it IC or OOC, I just keep picturing Cyanne with this face. I don't even know why.
