My wife wants me to ask you all if you do the "Stanky Leg". She seems to think that Cyanne did it.

FYI, at the school sports day last year, the full school 'health hustle' was to that song. So not only did I do the stanky leg, I did the whip and the nae-nae.

It was both embarrassing and exhausting.

Oh man. We had indoor recess one day, and I was told to give the kids dance videos from this site. One of them was a kid doing the whip/nae-nae. I was actually not sure I was supposed to be exposing first graders to it.

Am I going to have to look up Stanky Leg in the urban dictionary now?

I rarely dance in public, but one of the last times I was in Vegas the bar I was in gave free drinks if you danced on the stage. So I ended up doing the Wobble in front of a bunch of strangers. Good times.

I danced at the Nightwish/Voyager gig I went to on Wednesday, but that's probably different. I can headbang like there's no tomorrow, but Nightwish just makes me wanna dance.

I am now enlightened. What's funny is that I have done moves like the stanky leg many times before, but did not know the name of this particular leg slide. :)

At some point, I'm going to have to do a selfie of Cyanne's actual expression for all of you. So... Kaz saved himself from a world of embarrassment by posting, but that does not get the rest of you off the hook. If you want that dance number in discussion, you're all going to have to post.

I do not do the Stanky Leg, or any other sort of organized, intentional dance move. I'm your general sort of clod who looks like electric currents are being run through major muscle groups roughly in time with the music. It's not a pleasant sight...

Every time you mention something like this, be it IC or OOC, I just keep picturing Cyanne with this face. I don't even know why.

Btw, I dont dance. At most I shuffle around and bob from side to side in tune to the music. My fallback move is the Busdriver.

I have no plans here. I'm offering something, whether for good or for bad, but if it's not accepted, that's fine.

I've managed to kind of accidentally break GM's brain's before. It's not my fault, I don't mean to do it, it just happens. There was this one game where we were exploring a dungeon trying to get this special magical sword. The GM put in a rival party to try and steal the artifact first, and was pretty surprised when my character ordered the rest of the party to not attack them (I was a princess [don't ask] so I could do that). Because it's wrong to kill other people who haven't attacked us over a magic sword that no party actually possesses yet.

Or the time that my character was supposed to get a goblin follower only she felt bad and set him up as a tailor instead.

Or the time that my character refused to attack a worg because he hadn't broken his word to the party yet and we can't assume he's evil just because he's a worg, nobody chooses what they're born as.

Or, if villain is supposed to make his escape on the boat but I, as a summoner, can summon a shark that can out swim the boat and won't go poof for a couple of minutes....that one was the most fun. We had to take a break and recalculate the game :3

So, I'll level with you guys. I've drawn a blank on this scene. It's a big decisionfor the party to make, with potentially huge repercussions, and I don't know how to proceed. I don't know what to do as a player, and it's such a big thing, I can't figure out how my PC would respond either.

I know there's been a bit of stress over the posting rate, and I feel like it's partly my fault, but damned if I know what to do here. Any chance we can do some hashing-out OOC here?

Nah, I don't think it's anybody's fault, all games have periods of fast and slow posts.

Lali's going to be very stubborn about this, she doesn't trust Akiros at all. She trusts Cyanne but she also views her as a sweet innocent girl who can see the good in everyone but herself, so she'll need a lot more convincing.

This is a decision with some implications to the story over the next several books. Think it over. Take your time. Just, if there's no chatter here or in Gameplay, I'll figure out a way to move this on.

If you don't know what to do... bring all of us in. Luthor too. Cyanne has clearly become lawyer for the defense, but she doesn't know the full plan here. Tell us the plan in game. Get Luthor and I up-to-date.

Ohhhh now that's the kind of idea Lali can get behind!

I'll moderate this discussion and try to keep things organized. Here are the possibilities as I see them.

1. Akiros goes alone.

2. Akiros goes with Laliytsa.

3. Akiros goes with Tyg and/or Perli.

4. Akiros rots in the stables.

5. Akiros gets dragged to Restov.

6. Akiros loses his head.

These are probably in order in terms of risk and reward. So, it seems to me that the issue is that there are too many choices. Let's narrow it down to, say, three that you can all agree would work, then have a vote?

Daen is categorically against 4 and 5. Just dragging him around or letting him rot is expensive. If we are going to keep him alive, he should at least be able to do work enough to earn his keep. Daen would rather take his head right now than to keep him alive and in captivity.

Daen would be fine with any other choice, but he really doesn't like 2. These bandits notoriously treat their recruits and prisoners poorly. Tyg and Perli could handle themselves, and Akiros has never lied to them, as far as they could tell.

Is there an option that lets folks have a crack at this jerk, because I would pay real gold to enter this campaign juuust long enough to choke the s*|+ out of this guy...

The way I see it, it really comes down to two alternatives.

Either we trust* Akiros, or we execute him ourselves. Trust begets trust. If we can't trust him, how can we redeem him? He may be an arrogant brutal prick, but he's an arrogant brutal prick with an honor code.

I'm pro-trust.

Kaz would go for 1, 3, or 5. He wouldn't be willing to put Laliytsa at risk, but knowing what our faerie friends are capable of, reasons they'd be able to handle themselves, especially if we send them along without him knowing. I agree that option #1 has the highest risk/reward, but it's probably the option Kaz would go for in the end.

BTW, not doing burlesque in the middle of this serious discussion. The dance scene can wait until we come to a consensus. Though I really think that Kaz should be the deciding vote if the rest of us cannot come to an agreement.

BTW, Aest... I want to thank you again for creating such an interesting, layered NPC as Akiros. Yes, I know that the NPC came with the module. But you're the one who breathed life into him.

No problem. Actually, I just looked at his bio in the book (which I'll post once this book is done if anyone's curious/hasn't seen it) and played him in accordance to it.

I vote for either 2 or 3. 3 is the only one we've all agreed on so far.

Aest, you are too modest. Your Akiros leaps off the screen. I love him... and hate him... and then I want to just throw things at him. Or teach him to poledance or something.
