Please please please tell me Cyanne's going to end up as the high diplomat and deliver all terse diplomatic negotiations in song. With the ukelele, of course. Because the image is just giving me all kinds of giggles.

Yeah, I've been a bit thrown off by that as well. When we accepted his character, I told him he could work on it as we went so we could get moving. I wouldn't mind seeing a rough outline or something, though.

Nah, it'll work out. I think Cyanne and Luthor did some bit of collaboration, so it's quite possible it exists but just isn't down. I'll let it sit for a bit and come back to it later if nothing's changed.
Cyanne and Luthor did do a little collaboration -- we attended the same magic school, though at different times. So if you read Cyanne's background, you can find out about Luthor's teachers.
Speaking of Cyanne's background... does it work for all of you? Is there anything I'm missing?

Due to not recognizing the quote as being from "The Princess Bride", Luthor's on probation. You'd best find it and watch it. It's probably the best fantasy movie ever created. ALL THE TROPES!

Yeah Princess Bride is one of the greatest swashbuckling adventures ever made. It would fit right into Kingmaker! There are all sorts of delicious quips and memorable quotes from that film.
Here's my favorite:

Oh ive seen it, no worries, just not enough times to know any but the most memorable quotes. Really, by not watching the movie repeatedly, ive fallen victim to one of the classic blunders.
Maybe I'll rewrite book four. Actually...I don't think it'd take too much effort at all, really.

After watching that film for the first time, my fiancé was hooked. He quotes it, he loves the characters, and he plans to dress up as the Dread Pirate Roberts for Halloween this year. I also squealed like an idiot when I logged onto Facebook the other day and saw that he'd written "As you wish" on my wall. A few of my friends asked what the exchange meant when I wrote back "I love you, too"; I'm not speaking to them for a while. (Then I will, and I'll make them watch it.)
Also:
"You are using Bonetti's Defense against me, eh?"
"I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain."
"Naturally you must expect me to attack with Capo Ferro?"
"Naturally. But I find Thibault often cancels out Capo Ferro. Don't you?"

And as my man does historical reenactment, he can tell me just WHY Thibault cancels out Capo Ferro - the latter uses dramatic movements and lunges, building up a lot of momentum quickly, while the former is a defensive style that uses your enemy's momentum against them. He hasn't told me much about Agrippa or the Bonetti Defense, though.

Oh! Your background! No, it's fine. If there were any issues, I'd address them, but for the most part I like to let backgrounds stand as they are.

Man, if I could stand to lose the skill points, I so would've dumped Kaz' intelligence to 9. He may be likeable enough, and want people to talk reasonable, but he's a bit awkward, and not always too bright! "Yeah, sure, I'll throw my weapons aside and talk to this guy, pointing out why he's wrong. What's the worst that could happen?"

Glad to hear it, hope everyone's having at least a decent time. I'm working on a post now, but I'd like to reiterate a point I made on like page 3.
If there are any complaints about how I run the game, please bring them up. I can always do a better job, and knowing where to improve is critical to that.
Also, I started converting Book 4 of Kingmaker into two different sections, one of which is a retelling of The Princess Bride. You brought this upon yourselves!
I have zero complaints at this point. None. :-)
And you have no idea how happy that Book 4 idea makes me :D

I thought that Humperdink and Count Rougen had a thing. The prince doesn't show any interest in women other than for starting wars, and he affectionately calls the count "Tyrone". Also, they have a secret dungeon...
Just sayin.

I'd never considered that. To be quite honest, I don't think Humperdink's a good enough sub for the stuff Count Rugen's clearly into. No tolerance for pain whatsoever, and Rugen's into some rough stuff.
It wouldn't be true love, that's for sure.
