Vetch is pretty pleased with himself. ”You know, there is probably nothing that I can’t pilot into a fiery crash, even this lunk of unwieldy space death,” Vetch notes. ”It’s just too bad we’re not crashing into the goblin homeworld. Then my death might have been worth something. Saving a universe that allows goblins to exist just doesn’t seem as good.”
Vetch continues to aim for his doom.

Abe maximizes the shields just in case another ship appears, and nods along with Vetch. "It's been a pleasure flying with you. Let's do this thing!"
He thinks about the things he might have done, and shrugs. It's been a good life.
And after all, he never really thought he'd be free of this. He is disappointed that the Sunrise Maiden will also be destroyed in the blast though. That was quite a ship...

The Zane |

Zane is exhultant as the music blasts. He's exhultant as he lays down some fiery death and destruction with the weapons.
As Vetch flies through the debris, he sees how close they are to the Stellar Degenerator. His exhultantion ends. Not enough time to escape. Jumping in an escape pod only to be captured by The Eoxians sounds like a last ditch option.
Then he has a mental picture of Waneda, and most of the other Eoxian screwheads he's encountered. Zane is more than satisfied that he's spent the last 2 months giving them the old Rachel-Ross. In fact, Zane puts his forearms up, clench fist side by side with clenched fist and gives a real Rachel-Ross to the Universe's enemies.
There's not much to say, champions that go out on top are undisputed champions. The barbershop talkers never knock them down. They are always held on a high pedistal, which is what Zane always craved.
Team Blood and Fury was exactly that. An undefeated Team with a perfect name.
Undisputed Champions. The Zane has the best teammates ever. Thank you.
Zane enjoys the presence of his friends.
He doesn't say anything more. Nothing more to say to a perfect ending.

Vetch No-Toes |

Vetch bears down on the prismatic lights at the sides of ship, and throttles it back just a bit, before doubling down in speed and intention.
I wish this upon all the goblins in space.
He awaits the sounds of destruction, explosion, and annihilation.

Dash lounges in the captain’s chair, the plastic smile on his plastic face the same as it ever was. While his companions... his friends... come to terms with their fate, he’s busy. Spinning the command key through his fingers, he stretches his brilliant mind through the Empire or Bones, grabbing security clips and scans, collecting footage and assorted b-roll before sending it off in a data burst to multiple drift beacons. In a few days Draka will receive enough material to put together one final episode of Blood and Fury.
"Have any of you ever been to Triaxus?" He asks to no one in particular. "There are some islands there, off the coast of Preita, remote and desolate, where you could live like a f@&ing king on a halfling's handful of credits a day. F$&% yeah... Black sand, smooth as velvet, big warm sun, water like blue diamonds. Volcanic gas makes the air unbreathable, but breathing is overrated. I spent the whole summer there, 28,847 f@&$ing days, soaking up solar on the beach. It was paradise, but it wasn’t life.”
The ship trembles as it enters the gravity well and begins to dive past the point of no return.
”This, riding into a star on a death ship, this was life."

Calling out one last farewell to each other, Dash cranks the music to the maximum volume. Unable to make it back to the Sunrise Maiden in time for reason each unto their own, the crew of the Sunrise Maiden stands firm in the resolve of their own imminent deaths.
The armada ignores you as it rushes to try to either stop the Empire of Bones (uselessly, since the two Omenbringers have been destroyed or fled already) or dock with the ultranought in the hopes of regaining command (which might have worked if the undead attempting it had more time).
When the Empire of Bones collides with the much larger Stellar Degenerator, for a split second, it appears nothing will happen. Then the ultranought deforms in shape, with rays of black and red energy shooting out of it. The Stellar Degenerator cracks at the point of impact, and then explodes in a prismatic fireball of incandescent plasma. The shock wave of the explosion warps the space around the portal, and then the demiplane tears itself apart, destroying its contents. Those Corpse Fleet ships close to the portal are ripped to pieces as ripples in reality emanate from the catastrophe. Those ships from the armada that survive flee into the Drift over the next few minutes.
Over the course of the next several weeks, having lost contact the Starfinder Fleet sends out numerous rescue vessels to find out what happened. Location by location they are able to trace your steps using recordings left over by Messalina and Dash. The collapse of the demiplane causes shimmering multihued lights to play across the planet’s night sky. Chiskisk stands on the Gate-1 Controller Moon looking up solemnly at the lights, Messalina's final recording reaching his screen. They slump to the ground, a sense of grief and relief taking over the shirren. They gather the crew after a brief search of the wreckage for any survivors. Finding none Chiskisk returns to the Pact Worlds.
Back on Absalom Station First seeker Luwazi Elsebo stands at the podium addressing all news stations in the Pact Worlds. For weeks now your images and videos have been on every news station. Soryn, Kcectic, and Draka look up at the screens in sadness, each mourning in their own way. Draka's followers flow in by the millions as she becomes a vid star overnight. The First Seeker clears her throat. “Starfinders, today we did something no one would have thought possible. A year ago this all started with the death of a fellow Starfinder, Duravor Kreel, who was killed in a local gang war over what we now know was a chunk of an asteroid broken off from an ancient superweapon. Despite the victory today four local, well there is no other word for them other than Heroes, gave their lives against all odds and saved our Universe. They alone stood against the Corpse Fleet and succeeded. We must honor the dead and never forget them nor their sacrifice...." The speech goes on and on as over on Eox, Waneda listens in the background. Slowly she offers one final Rachel/Ross bump, though this time with a bit more respect. The speech begins to conclude. "...Their discoveries have also led to new relations with the Kishalee race, bring them slowly into the Pact Worlds. With this we say goodbye with a moment of silence and a token of thanks to the four grateful men that offered their lives so that we could live in peace for many more years to come. We all die. The goal isn’t to live forever; the goal is to create something that will."
With this the First Seeker pulls the curtain from a large statue mounted in the Absalom Station Gardens. Each of you stand side by side, with Messalina hovering in between Zane and Abe. A holographic projector built into her body that projects Blood and Fury's videos, looping your experience for all to see. From Abe's meticulous upgrades of the Maiden, Zane's mounting climb to remove a sniper on Castrovel, to Dash's infamous departure party and finally to Vetch's genocidal victory over the goblin stowaway on his ship.
This was the end of the Dead Suns Campaign, hope you all enjoyed and feel free to haunt the cosmos.
