Got my auth email. Looks good, although... is 18 bucks shipping for a 6 lb package cross country (I'm in upstate NY) via UPS ground within normal range? I don't remember.
Yeah, just came here to say it seemed REALLY high for me.
Last month: Standard post. Five books, nothing else. 6 lbs. $10.11
This month: USPS Priority. One book, nothing else. 1 lbs. $10.74
Like, honestly, I just want my book, but I can't believe standard post would have been higher?

when do AP books like strength of thousands start being authorized? im not sure how this all works im just curious
As it happens, I got my SoT authorization a few minutes before you posted this. You should hopefully get yours soon, if you haven't already.

I noticed the same thing, usually my shipping costs for an AP book is $4.60-ish but is $7.50 this go around.

Just a note here, several of our rate tables for shipping costs were woefully out of date. This may mean that your shipping costs are different than you might expect. In many cases it's not that the shipping and handling are incorrectly high now, it's that they were incorrectly low before.
Additionally, global shipping along the entire supply chain is a hot mess right now, not just for us, but for everyone. Things are costing more and taking longer in transit.
There does seem to be a persistent issue where orders that should have a UPS Mail Innovations Domestic option are not seeing it come up and using USPS Priority instead. I'm looking into this with the tech and warehouse teams since it was supposed to be resolved with yesterday's fix.

I don't think my paizo advantage kicked it. It still shows the old price crossed out like it's applying a discount, and then a new price of the exact same amount (24.99 24.99).
Personally I'm fine with it staying as is, but if someone could verify it for future orders?

The shipping on my order, Order 36607538, is $10.74., or roughly twice as much as it normally is. It's only the Pathfinder Adventure Path, selected for the cheapest shipping possible. And at only a 1 lb. ship weight, $10.74 is too much.
A closer look shows it appears to have ignored a cheaper shipping method and is instead using USPS Priority instead, as mentioned in Sara Marie's previous post.

I select USPS Priority and mine is about 4$ more than usual. That being said the increase isn't a surprise when re adjusting shipping costs and I don't go for cheapest.
People paying more than 5$ for domestic cheapest though would make me raise an eye brow.

$15.44 for 3lbs domestic USPS Priority seems strange and higher than normal. For reference last month I had 8lbs for $12.51 shipping
(which i know in the grand scheme of things this isnt much compared to international subscribers, but as Yoshua mentions, it raises an eyebrow)
edit: looking at USPS postage calculator I think this is roughly in line. So yeah, guess I've been underpaying all this time?

The shipping has been crazy lately. Last month, I was shipped 2 packages and charged $51.84. According to USPS and Paizo's emailed tracking link, one weighed 13.84 lbs. and the other weighed 13.82 lbs. Only the one weighing 13.84 lbs. made it, but it had everything in it - my whole order, including sidecart items, all in one package. The other package never arrived, but I don't know what could have been in it. I just double checked the link and it still shows the same information.

Our credit card processor had a 90 minute unexpected outage earlier today causing orders that we tried to settle transactions for during that time to return a payment failure. If you received a payment failure notice and should not have, you do not need to take any actions at this time, your order should retry shipping again without further intervention.

I find it very weird that last month I had order weighting 6 lbs and the cost of handling & shipping was $10.11 and this month I have 1 lbs for $10.74 O_o Also last time it was Standard Postal Delivery and now for some reason it's USPS Priority Mail.
Same, I do believe Sara said they were looking into it.

I was part of this outage (Though not for my subscription, I tried to buy something else). As a result I switched the card my payment is attached to. Do you know if I doomed myself to a delay?
Also, thank you for everything yall do. The last few months have been nuts and yall have my thanks (and money when it accepts my card)

It looks like the same for mine actually. Hadnt noticed that. If it's already being looked into do i need to create my own thread?

This is good to know, and I should have checked this thread before I tried to update my payment method. However, I did try but failed to do so, as it would not save a second payment method I tried to add. I filled in a second credit card on the add new payment link, but My Account still claims I have just one.

SO... mine is def one of the ones with USPS priority, but what if I'm willing to just eat the extra $5 for get the pdf ahead of the weekend and would be satisfied if the problem was corrected for august?

That's an excellent question. I, too, would be happy paying the extra cost this month and get the PDF sooner with less work for Paizo in correcting the shipping cost and would be happy if it was corrected next month.

My preorder of Junker's Delight was just charged and sent to me all by itself, despite my email under a different order number from 2 days ago telling me that it would be sent with my monthly subs and my monthly sub items have not been charged or sent yet. I hope I still get my sub items this month. Something seems weird...

I got a shipping email, and all my downloads. Shipping for a single six pound package, Redmond to Rochester, NY, was $18.19, minus $10 for the shipping discount, so $8.19. I'm guessing that's about right now that Paizo's updated their shipping cost tables. :-)
Could look at it this way: since a dollar is really only worth about 4 cents, shipping really only cost me about 33 cents. :-)
