Ummm Ok. I'm not doubting you did what you said. I just don't see anything in your post that tells me you previewed a roll in it.

*glares at Jelani*

*rolls up sheet of stats with T-Rex with penile bazooka tech from Numeria and throws it in trash can*

THANKS FOR RUINING THAT ENCOUNTER JELANI!

(~_~)*

-slinks away in shame-

So if I start posting a single period until a natural twenty on every check, you'd kick me from yer game? Maybe this AIN'T 'MURICA. Maybe my Consatutional rights what's promised me ain't honored here.

Because there isn't anything that says I previewed it, besides me telling you I did.

Here is my submission. (For Dakcenturi)

Way to go, Jelani. I was going to multiclass to cavalier and ask for that as my mount too. T-Rexes are... what? Level 6 Cavalier mounts? I'm assuming the artificial appendage would actually lower the level requirement...

Penile bazooka technology..., wait..., why dont we just weaponize a dog's urine? I'm sure that there are alchemists out there that can acidify it for us..., now that i think about it...

Did it once. Backfired on a natural 1. Those T-rexes are extinct though.

Let's see what I get from the rolls. Might submit one char though.
1) 4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 5, 5) = 13 = 12
2) 4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 2, 5) = 15 = 13
3) 4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 2, 4) = 14 = 12
4) 4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 2, 2) = 11 = 10
5) 4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 5, 4) = 16 = 13
6) 4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 6, 5) = 14 = 13

Hmm Pretty average rolls. I see.

Recruitment is now officially closed. NIghtdeath shall be the last submission I will allow.

Sovereign Court

*Wipes a bead of sweat of his brow.*
"Phew. Made it."
A young Halfling says, after bumbling his way through.

Silver Crusade

By the gods, I had no idea that innocuous comment would set someone off like that. That's just how the math works. That said, I've played super healer oracles and I've played reach clerics. Both are perfectly fine. In normal play either one works fine. Optimal play is only rarely required.

Sovereign Court

Submitting Nobble and Nibblese.
A Halfling and his pet kitten.

So make my way to down to gameplay?

*tapps nightdeath on shoulder*

Everyone is outside at the festival not in the local tavern/inn.

Sovereign Court

lol my mistake.
Let me get a drink then I'll go outside.

Thanks Alina.

Okay everybody. I've spent most of the day looking over the backgrounds of the submissions, including those of you who chose to elaborate in the gameplay thread. I also enjoyed catching up to the fevered gameplay thread, and hope I can maintain that momentum. It was a lot of reading and I had to make some hard choices. One choice in particular, was party size. I had originally intended to only take 5, but at the end, I was too hard pressed to eliminate to so few.

As a result, I am going to run this with a party of 7. Heaven help me.

Here are the applicants I have chosen, in no particular order.

Kala Steelheart - Human Fighter - Earl Wheaton
Zoli Telani - Halfling Bard (Archeologist) - gyrfalcon
Morythine Ettes - Dhampir Monk - Transylvanian Tadpole
Xamarath Fingoth - Human Wizard - Kagehiro
Alina Vasario - Human Witch – Kalem
Eugeni Silva - Aasimar Warpriest – Jelani
Baern Steelskull - Dwarf Fighter (Phalanx Soldier) – Crustypeanut

Congratulations to those I have selected. For the rest of you, I invite you to take the time to RP your characters departure from the festival prior to the campaign begins (which will most likely officially begin on Wednesday). I hope you all will follow the game, as I have several more of you on a personal "alternate list." If your character doesn't happen to make a guaranteed safe exit from the Swallowtail Festival, I cannot promise you their safety, nor will I be responsible for their fate (solemn Thorin Oakenshield voice).

For those of you who have been selected, please see yourself to the Discussion Thread and check in. Destiny awaits!

Ah, what a shame... I had high hopes for this one. A few of the choices surprise me. Here's hoping I have better luck with the other game I applied for. Have fun everybody!

Damn i was hoping to have more time to update my background. Been without my computer for a week just got it back yesterday. Oh well good luck to everyone who got in.

Good luck everyone.

GM? Can you mark me inactive on this one? I have a ton of inactive games in my campaigns already from GMs vanishing. If I get asked down the road to join in, I'll read the thread to catch up if that's ok?

Sure thing.

Sovereign Court

Same for me as well.

Thanks for your consideration.

Happy gaming!

Fabian

Thanks for the Consideration Thron, hope the game goes well for everyone.

Hello everybody trolling the Recruitment forum!

I am reopening recruitment for my RotR game, as in it's grand venture thus far we've seen some character deaths as well as player attrition.

What we have:
Aasimar Zen Archer
Aasimar Paladin
Dhampir Monk/Cleric
Halfling Archaeologist/Swashbuckler

What we need:
The party is in need of a full fledged Arcane Caster of some sort. Ability to post at LEAST once per day, but I am understanding that things do come up and that real life is more important. If something is going to keep you from maintaining a post rate close to that, such as work, vacation, etc., a notification in the Discussion thread is expected.

Creation Rules:
Same as on Page 1 of this thread, but with the following changes:
Starting Level - 4
Starting Wealth - 6,000 gp, no single item over 40% of this value

I will be leaving recruitment open until I find a candidate that I think would make for interesting RP with my current cast.

Dot dash dot

Well, before I get anyone's hopes up...our mage has returned.

Sorry about that...

shrug, oh well.

Grand Lodge

Ah well. I'm glad to hear that he returned, but I wouldn't mind being considered for a future opening. Out of curiosity, how does one do the rolling thing? I've never played play by post before, and would like to know this for when I apply for other games.

Hmm

Click the show button to the right of "How to format your text" that says Show. It's below the Preview, Cancel and Submit Post buttons.

Grand Lodge

Random d20 roll: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 2, 3) = 9

Ah that's how you do it.

And I can see what my dice luck is like already...

Hmm
